The temporal dynamics of a spinor exciton-polariton condensate in a high-quality anisotropic GaAs microcavity under pulsed resonant excitation with light possessing a nonzero orbital angular momentum is investigated. The phenomenon of spatial separation of the spin components of the polariton condensate upon pumping with a coherent superposition of two beams with opposite circular polarizations and orbital angular momenta is observed. The key factors for the observation of this effect are the lateral anisotropy of the microcavity that causes a splitting between the linear components of the polariton ground state and the occurrence of opposite orbital angular momenta for the two spin components of the condensate. The experimental results are in qualitative agreement with the theoretical model of the phenomenon developed in JETP Lett. 104, 827 (2016). 相似文献

Strong temporal hysteresis effects in the population kinetics of pumped and scattered lower polaritons (LPs) have been observed in a planar semiconductor microcavity under a nanosecond-long pulsed resonant excitation (by frequency and angle) near the inflection point of the LPs' dispersion. The hysteresis loops have a complicated shape due to the interplay of two instabilities. The self-instability (bistability) of the nonlinear pumped LP is accompanied by a strong parametric instability which causes an explosive growth of the scattered LPs' population over a wide range of wave vectors. Finally, after a 30-500 ps period, a three-mode scattering pattern forms, thereby demonstrating a dynamically self-organized regime of the optical parametric oscillator. Stability is maintained by the presence of numerous weak "above-condensate" modes; the whole system therefore appears to be highly correlated. 相似文献

The effect of aprotic inert media on the conformational structure of 2-(2,2-dicyanovinyl-1-methylthio)-5-methylpyrrole was studied by UV, NMR, and IR spectroscopy. Chloroform and less polar solvents stabilize only one of the four conformers. In more polar media, there is a dynamic equilibrium between all the possible conformers of the title compound. The state of the equilibrium depends both on the solvent and on the temperature. 相似文献

It was shown in JETP Lett. 102, 508 (2015) that the intensity correlation function of the emission from a high-quality-factor semiconductor microcavity under resonant optical pumping exhibits an oscillatory behavior with an unexpectedly long oscillation period and a long decay time, which fall in the nanosecond range. A further investigation demonstrates that the origin of these oscillations is not related to the weak Rabi interaction between long-lived localized exciton states in the quantum well and the electromagnetic field of the microcavity mode. It proves that the semiconductor microcavity plays a secondary role in the observation of nonclassical light: it provides the spectral selection of the modes of the pump laser. We believe that intrinsic instabilities lead to the chaotic excitation of spiking in the laser modes under a constant operating current. 相似文献
