A competent and highly discriminating one-pot synthesis of highly diversified novel functionalized indenoquinoxalone grafted spiropyrrolidine linked chromene-3-carbonitrile conjugates accumulating three pharmocophoric cores, heterocyclic indenoquinoxalone, pyrrolidines and chromene-3-carbonitrile in a single molecular framework by means of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between indenoquinoxalone, proline/benzyl amine and chromene-3-carbonitrile in ethanol under classical and microwave conditions is described. The three component 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction proceeds via in situ generation of azomethine ylides by the decarboxylative condensation of indenoquinoxalone with proline/benzyl amine and their selectivity towards the endo cyclic double bonds of dipolarophile (chromene-3-carbonitrile) leading to the formation of highly functionalised regio- and diastereoselective molecular hybrids. Results are reported on the cellular effects and the sensitivity of cultured tumor epithelial cells (TEC) derived from human ovarian cystadenocarcinoma and human umbilical vein-derived endothelial cells (HUVEC) to exogenous 5-aminolaevulinic acid (ALA) and ALA-induced photodynamic therapy (PDT). Cellular alterations and PDT efficiency were evaluated using colorimetric thiazolyl blue (MTT) assay, trypan blue exclusion assay, electron microscopy, and gel electrophoresis. ALA-induced protoporphyrin IX (PpIX) accumulation in TEC was associated with a concentration and time-dependent significant decrease in mitochondrial activity, increase in cell membrane permeability, and dark toxicity. Maximum PpIX loaded TEC demonstrated a high sensitivity to PDT. Neither cellular alterations nor PDT effects were observed in HUVEC under identical experimental conditions. These results indicate a potential clinical value for the use of ALA-mediated PDT to treat minimal residual disease in mucinous ovarian carcinoma. In addition, the ALA-induced PpIX cytotoxicity may be exported to a new chemotherapeutic regimen via a conventionally viewed photochemotherapeutic agent. 相似文献

We study the steady state of the Abelian sandpile models with stochastic toppling rules. The particle addition operators commute
with each other, but in general these operators need not be diagonalizable. We use their Abelian algebra to determine their
eigenvalues, and the Jordan block structure. These are then used to determine the probability of different configurations
in the steady state. We illustrate this procedure by explicitly determining the numerically exact steady state for a one dimensional

Using tight-binding molecular dynamics we simulate the formation of single wall carbon nanotube T junctions via the fusing of two nanotubes. We propose energetically efficient pathways for this process in which all atoms maintain their sp(2) arrangements throughout. Recent experimental advances have greatly increased the plausibility of synthesizing T junctions as proposed in the simulations. We further report I-V characteristics of the formed junctions. 相似文献

A theory of transport of long chain polymer molecules through carbon nanotube (CNT) channels is developed using the Fokker-Planck equation and direct molecular dynamics simulations. The mean transport or translocation time tau is found to depend on the chemical potential energy, the entropy, and the diffusion coefficient. A power law dependence tau approximately N2 is found, where N is the number of monomers in a molecule. For 10(5)-unit long polyethylene molecules, tau is estimated to be approximately 1 micros. The diffusion coefficient of long polymer molecules inside CNTs, like that of short ones, is found to be a few orders of magnitude larger than in ordinary silicate based zeolite systems. 相似文献

In this paper a new approach to evaluate the drag force in a simple way on a restricted axially symmetric body placed in a
uniform stream (i) parallel to its axis, (ii) transverse to its axis, is advanced when the flow is governed by the Stokes
equations. The method exploits the well-known integral for evaluating the drag on a sphere. The method not only provides the
value of the drag on prolate and oblate spheroids and a deformed sphere in axial flow which already exists in literature but
also new results for a cycloidal body, an egg shaped body and a deformed sphere in transverse flow. The salient results are
exhibited graphically. The limitations imposed on the analysis because of the lack of fore and aft symmetry in the case of
an eggshaped body is also indicated. It is also seen that the analysis can be extended to calculate the couple on a body rotating
