Time-dependent fluctuations in the distance x(t) between two segments along a polymer are one measure of its overall conformational dynamics. The dynamics of x(t), modeled as the coordinate of a particle moving in a one-dimensional potential well in thermal contact with a reservoir, is treated with a generalized Langevin equation whose memory kernel K(t) can be calculated from the time-correlation function of distance fluctuations C(t) identical with x(0)x(t). We compute C(t) for a semiflexible continuum model of the polymer and use it to determine K(t) via the GLE. The calculations demonstrate that C(t) is well approximated by a Mittag-Leffler function and K(t) by a power-law decay on time scales of several decades. Both functions depend on a number of parameters characterizing the polymer, including chain length, degree of stiffness, and the number of intervening residues between the two segments. The calculations are compared with the recent observation of a nonexponential C(t) and a power law K(t) in the conformational dynamics within single molecule proteins [Min et al., Phys. Rev. A series of cis-platinum ethynyl complexes with the general formula cis-[Pt(dppe)(C[triple bond]CR)2](dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane; R = C6H4-p-NO2 1, C6H4-p-CH3 2, C6H4-p-C[triple bond]CH 3 and C6H4-p-C6H4-p-C[triple bond]CH 4) have been prepared by the coupling reaction of cis-[Pt(dppe)Cl2] with two equivalents of the appropriate alkyne. The new complexes have been fully characterized by spectroscopic techniques, and the cis square planar arrangement at the platinum centre has been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies of complexes 1, 2 and 4. The absorption spectra of the complexes 1-4 are dominated by a pi-->pi* band that contains some platinum (n + 1) p orbital character. The position of the band is dependent on the electron donating or withdrawing properties of the ethynyl substituents, R. Complex 1 displays a triplet emission in the green, at room temperature, while complexes 2-4, display singlet emissions in the blue. Again, the difference can be attributed to the nature of the R substituents.  相似文献

In the present work, first, we have described pilgrim dark energy, entropy-corrected pilgrim dark energy for logarithmic and power law versions. Secondly, we have done the work on the aforementioned entropy-corrected versions by choosing an interacting framework with cold dark matter and three cutoffs such as Hubble, event and conformal age of the universe. The synthetic crystalline hydrous titanium(IV) oxide (CHTO), an anatase variety and thermally stable up to 300 °C, has been used for adsorption of Cr(III) and Cr(VI) from the aqueous solutions, the optimum pH-values of which are 5.0 and 1.5, respectively. The kinetic data correspond very well to the pseudo-second order equation. The rates of adsorption are controlled by the film (boundary layer) diffusion, and increase with increasing temperature. The equilibrium data describe very well the Langmuir, Redlich–Peterson, and Toth isotherms. The monolayer adsorption capacities are high, and increased with increasing temperature. The evaluated ΔG° (kJ · mol?1) and ΔH° (kJ · mol?1) indicate the spontaneous and endothermic nature of the reactions. The adsorptions occur with increase in entropy (ΔS° = positive), and the mean free energy (EDR) values obtained by analysis of equilibrium data with Dubinin–Radushkevick equation indicate the ion-exchange mechanism for Cr(III) and Cr(VI)-adsorptions.  相似文献

We study the gravitational collapse in (n+2)-D quasi-spherical Szekeres space–times (which possess no Killing vectors) with dust as the matter distribution. Instead of choosing the radial coordinate r as the initial value for the scale factor R, we consider a power function of r as the initial scale for the radius R.
