In the title cocrystal, 2‐aminopyrimidine–(+)‐camphoric acid (1/1), C4H5N3·C10H16O4, the 2‐aminopyrimidine forms two eight‐membered hydrogen‐bonded rings with two different camphoric acid molecules. This results in infinite wave‐like chains of molecules in which neighbouring chains are connected by weak C—H?O contacts. Efficient circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) from purely organic molecules holds great promise for applications in displays, sensing, and bioimaging. However, achieving high dissymmetry values (glum) from organic chromophores remains a significant challenge. Herein, we present a bioinspired approach using adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-triggered supramolecular polymerization of a naphthalene diimide-derived monomer ( ANSG ) to induce CPL with a remarkable glum value of 1.1×10−2. The ANSG molecules undergo a templated, chiral self-assembly through a cooperative growth mechanism in the presence of ATP, resulting in scrolled nanotubes with aggregation-induced enhanced emission (AIEE) and induced CPL. Furthermore, we demonstrate the concept of chiroptical amplification of induced CPL by efficiently amplifying asymmetry using a mixture of chiral ATP and achiral pyrophosphate. This innovative approach opens numerous opportunities in the emerging field of circularly polarized luminescence. 相似文献

The kinetics of hydrolysis of p‐nitrophenyl acetate catalyzed by α‐chymotrypsin (α‐CT) has been studied in the presence of several cationic surfactants having different head groups maintaining the dodecyl hydrophobic residue and bromide counterion. The enzyme activity was tested in the presence of dodecyl trimethylammonium bromide (DTAB), dodecylpyridinium bromide (DPB), dodecyldimethylethanolammonium bromide (DDMEAB), dodecyldiethylethanolammonium bromide (DDEEAB), benzyldimethyldodecylammonium bromide (BDDAB), and dodecyltriphenylphosphonium bromide (DTPB) surfactants. The extent of superactivity depends upon head groups of surfactants. The activity of α‐CT depends on the surfactant concentration and it varies with the surfactant head group dimensions (DTPB > DDEEAB > DTAB > BDDAB > DDMEAB > DPB). For all surfactants, DTPB exhibits highest superactivity. The effects of surfactants on the apparent kinetic parameters like Michaelis constant Km and the catalytic constant kcat have been determined. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three new supramolecular assemblies of co-crystallized metal complexes and aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, {[Cu(pic)2(H2O)2](H2mal)}n (1), {[Cu(pic)2(H2O)2](H2mal)2(H2O)2}n (2) and {[Cu(pic)2(MeOH)](H2succ)}n (3) {Hpic = 2-picolinic acid, H2mal = malonic acid and H2succ = succinic acid} have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal structure determination. The crystal packings of the complexes reveal that supramolecular associations of the monomeric complex units lead to the formation of layers through hydrogen bonding. In all the complexes, the dicarboxylic acid units connect the 2-D layers to act as pillars. The interaction between water molecules and the dicarboxylic acid plays an important role in the overall supramolecular assembly. 相似文献

Marginal steady state belongs to a special class of states in nonlinear dynamics. To realize this state we consider a cubic autocatalytic reaction A + 2B → 3B in a continuous-stirred-tank-reactor, where the flow rate of the reactant A can be controlled to manipulate the dynamical behavior of the open system. We demonstrate that when the flow rate is weakly noisy the autocatalytic reaction admits of a steady state which is marginal in nature and is surrounded by infinite number of periodic trajectories. When the uncatalyzed reaction A → B is included in the reaction scheme, there exists a marginal steady state which is a critical state corresponding to the point of transition between the flow branch and the equilibrium branch, similar to gas-liquid critical point of transition. This Letter describes the synthetic studies of stereocalpin A and its C5-epimer. After various cyclization attempts, successful macrolactamization at 9-10 position was tried inorder to obtain stereocalpin A and its C5-epimer, which were accompanied by complete racemization and resulted in the synthesis of 11-epi- and 5,11-diepi-stereocalpin A. The present study is performed to examine the accumulation efficiency of 51Cr(III) and 51Cr(VI) by the alkaloid piperine, derived from the fruits of Piper nigrum (Family Piperaceae) as well as using the fruit commonly known as black pepper by radiometric technique. The pH dependence
and the effect of the concentration of chromium on the accumulation have also been examined. The maximum accumulation (52%)
of Cr(III) is found by black pepper at pH 4 whereas piperine shows slight accumulation at this condition. Accumulation of
Cr(VI) by black pepper is always negligible. It has also been observed that some other constituents of the black pepper like
gum, terpenoid, etc., besides piperine is responsible for the accumulation of chromium. 相似文献
