We report on the reorganization and bundling of titanium oxide nanostructured layers, induced by wetting with different solvents and subsequent drying. TiO(2) layers are deposited by pulsed laser deposition and are characterized by vertically oriented, columnar-like structures resulting from assembling of nanosized particles; capillary forces acting during evaporation induce bundling of these structures and lead to a micrometer-size patterning with statistically uniform islands separated by channels. The resulting surface is characterized by a hierarchical, multiscale morphology over the nanometer-micrometer length range. The structural features of the pattern, i.e., characteristic length, island size, and channel width, are shown to depend on properties of the liquid (i.e., surface tension) and thickness and density of the TiO(2) layers. The studied phenomenon permits the controlled production of multiscale hierarchically patterned surfaces of nanostructured TiO(2) with large porosity and large surface area, characterized by superhydrophilic wetting behavior without need for UV irradiation.  相似文献

Freely suspended nanocomposite thin films based on soft polymers and functional nanostructures have been widely investigated for their potential application as active elements in microdevices. However, most studies are focused on the preparation of nanofilms composed of polyelectrolytes and charged colloidal particles. Here, a new technique for the preparation of poly(l-lactic acid) free-standing nanofilms embeddidng superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles is presented. The fabrication process, based on a spin-coating deposition approach, is described, and the influence of each production parameter on the morphology and magnetic properties of the final structure is investigated. Superparamagnetic free-standing nanofilms were obtained, as evidenced by a magnetization hysteresis measurement performed with a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). Nanofilm surface morphology and thickness were evaluated by atomic force microscopy (AFM), and the nanoparticle dispersion inside the composites was investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). These nanofilms, composed of a biodegradable polyester and remotely controllable by external magnetic fields, are promising candidates for many potential applications in the biomedical field.  相似文献

The dynamics and stability of a thin, viscous film of volatile liquid flowing under the influence of gravity over a non-uniformly heated substrate are investigated using lubrication theory. Attention is focused on the regime in which evaporation balances the flow due to gravity. The film terminates above the heater at an apparent contact line, with a microscopically thin precursor film adsorbed due to the disjoining pressure. The film develops a weak thermocapillary ridge due to the Marangoni stress at the upstream edge of the heated region. As for spreading films, a more significant ridge is formed near the apparent contact line. For weak Marangoni effects, the film evolves to a steady profile. For stronger Marangoni effects, the film evolves to a time-periodic state. Results of a linear stability analysis reveal that the steady film is unstable to transverse perturbations above a critical value of the Marangoni parameter, leading to finger formation at the contact line. The streamwise extent of the fingers is limited by evaporation. The time-periodic profiles are always unstable, leading to the formation of periodically-oscillating fingers. For rectangular heaters, the film profiles after instability onset are consistent with images from published experimental studies.  相似文献

Sunto Nel primo capitolo si generalizza e si perfeziona il metodo trattato in ricerche precedenti per verificare se l'errore commesso ritenendo invarianti adiabatici gli integrali ciclici diBohr-Sommerfeld di un sistema meccanico qualora i parametri non variano in maniera infinitamente lenta e graduale rimane entro limiti prefissati. I resultati vengono applicati al problema del moto armonico con forza di richiamo variabile col tempo e al problema dei due corpi di massa variabile dimostrando come una insignificante variazione di eccentricità dell'orbita di uno dei due corpi rispetto all'altro non sia incompatibile con una enorme variazione di massa. Nel secondo capitolo viene indicata un metodo di integrazione approssimata per i sistemi meccanici con parametri dipendenti dal tempo, e si calcola un valore maggiorante per l'errore commesso con questa approssimazione. Nel terzo capitolo si tratta, in vista di ricerche future, lo studio di un sistema meccanico con due parametri variabili di cui uno solo in maniera prossima ad essere infinitamente lenta e graduale, e si dimostra come gl'integrali ciclici del sistema possono venire approssimati con altre grandezza di più facile calcolo.  相似文献

In this paper, we study non-equilibrium dynamics induced by a sudden quench of strongly correlated Hamiltonians with all-to-all interactions. By relying on a Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev (SYK)-based quench protocol, we show that the time evolution of simple spin-spin correlation functions is highly sensitive to the degree of k-locality of the corresponding operators, once an appropriate set of fundamental fields is identified. By tracking the time-evolution of specific spin-spin correlation functions and their decay, we argue that it is possible to distinguish between operator-hopping and operator growth dynamics; the latter being a hallmark of quantum chaos in many-body quantum systems. Such an observation, in turn, could constitute a promising tool to probe the emergence of chaotic behavior, rather accessible in state-of-the-art quench setups.  相似文献

DNA-encoded chemical libraries are typically screened against purified protein targets. Recently, cell-based selections with encoded chemical libraries have been described, commonly revealing suboptimal performance due to insufficient recovery of binding molecules. We used carbonic anhydrase IX (CAIX)-expressing tumor cells as a model system to optimize selection procedures with code-specific quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) as selection readout. Salt concentration and performing PCR on cell suspension had the biggest impact on selection performance, leading to 15-fold enrichment factors for high-affinity monovalent CAIX binders (acetazolamide; KD=8.7 nM). Surprisingly, the homobivalent display of acetazolamide at the extremities of both complementary DNA strands led to a substantial improvement of both ligand recovery and enrichment factors (above 100-fold). The optimized procedures were used for selections with a DNA-encoded chemical library comprising 1 million members against tumor cell lines expressing CAIX, leading to a preferential recovery of known and new ligands against this validated tumor-associated target. This work may facilitate future affinity selections on cells against target proteins which might be difficult to express otherwise.  相似文献

Digital quantum computers have the potential to simulate complex quantum systems. The spin-boson model is one of such systems, used in disparate physical domains. Importantly, in a number of setups, the spin-boson model is open, i.e., the system is in contact with an external environment which can, for instance, cause the decay of the spin state. Here, we study how to simulate such open quantum dynamics in a digital quantum computer, for which we use an IBM hardware. We consider in particular how accurate different implementations of the evolution result as a function of the level of noise in the hardware and of the parameters of the open dynamics. For the regimes studied, we show that the key aspect is to simulate the unitary portion of the dynamics, while the dissipative part can lead to a more noise-resistant simulation. We consider both a single spin coupled to a harmonic oscillator, and also two spins coupled to the oscillator. In the latter case, we show that it is possible to simulate the emergence of correlations between the spins via the oscillator.  相似文献
