Abstract

The increasing incidence of resistance in tuberculosis and in atypical mycobacterial infections has prompted the search for alternative agents. We explored the antimycobacterial activity of Melaleuca cajuputi essential oil against tubercular and non tubercular mycobacterials isolates. The good activity observed towards M. cajuputi indicated that this essential oil might represent a promising antimicrobial agents, particularly in the management of microbial resistance.  相似文献

We propose a coupling strategy for solving efficiently bifluid flows based on the Stokes equations. Our approach relies on a level set formulation of the interface‐capturing problem, and involves a finite element discretization for the fluid resolution, the method of characteristics for solving the advection of the interface and the anisotropic mesh adaptation of the computational domain in the vicinity of the interface for better accuracy. In this work, two high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) assays were developed and validated for the independent determination of edaravone and taurine using 3‐methyl‐1‐p‐tolyl‐5‐pyrazolone and L ‐glutamine as internal standards. In in vitro experiments, human plasma was separately spiked with a mixture of edaravone and taurine, edaravone or taurine alone. Plasma was precipitated with acetonitrile containing 0.1% formic acid. Ultrafiltration was employed to obtain the unbound ingredients of the two drugs. The factors that might influence the ultrafiltration effiency were elaborately optimized. Plasma supernatant and ultrafiltrate containing taurine were derivated with o‐phthalaldehyde and ethanethiol in the presence of 40 mmol/L sodium borate buffer (pH 10.2) at room temperature within 1 min. Chromatographic separations were achieved on an InertSustain C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm). Isocratic 50 mmol/L ammonium acetate–acetonitrile and gradient 50 mmol/L sodium acetate (pH 5.3)–methanol were respectively selected as the mobile phase for the determination of edaravone and taurine. All of the validation data including linearity, extraction recovery, precision, accuracy and stability conformed to the requirements. Results showed that there were no significant alterations in the plasma protein binding rate of taurine and edaravone, implying that the proposed combination therapy was pharmacologically feasible. We study the efficiency of the second-harmonic generation with the zeroth-order Bessel beam (SHGzoBB) in uniaxial crystals. We show that the conversion efficiency is always less than that of the second-harmonic generation with the Gaussian beam (SHGGB). The fundamental reason relies on the fact that the advantage associated with the ??nondiffractive?? nature of the Bessel beam is not sufficient to compensate the disadvantage of its wave-vector distribution. We show that the zeroth-order Bessel beam is not the optimum beam for the second-harmonic generation in uniaxial crystals.  相似文献

In the frame of severe accident topic for pressurized water reactor, the physical-chemistry of Ru fission products were experimentally studied to better understand their behavior inside the reactor coolant system in air or air/steam atmospheres. The tests consisted in vaporizing RuO2 at 1200 °C and the ruthenium oxides are transported through a controlled thermal gradient tube made of quartz or pre-oxidized stainless steel. Results show that the major part up to 95% is deposited along the tube, the remaining part being transported almost under gaseous form attributed to RuO4. Impact of carrier gas, temperature profile and nature of the tube are discussed.  相似文献
