We present subwavelength periodic gratings achieved by employing a metallic grating waveguide heterostructure (MGWHS). The mask can be designed to make one of its diffraction order (±mth) waves resonate with the surface plasmon wave supported by the MGWHS. With a finite-difference time-domain method, we numerically demonstrate that one-dimensional periodic structure of about 60 nm feature, which is far beyond the diffraction limit, can be patterned with the interference of the 3rd diffraction order waves of the mask at a wavelength of 546 nm. The technique can also be extended to two-dimensional patterns using circularly polarized incidence and for the incidence with an angle θ.  相似文献

Diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)‐based terpolymers—P(DPP‐TPyT) and P(DPP‐T3MTT)—bearing bithiophene donating groups and weak accepting units such as pyridine (Py) or methyl thiophene‐3‐carboxylate (3MT), in the polymer backbone, were successfully synthesized. Although the two polymers had similar physical and electrochemical properties, grazing incidence X‐ray diffraction patterns of P(DPP‐TPyT) and P(DPP‐T3MTT) showed mixed and edge‐on orientations, respectively, in thermally annealed films. Accordingly, the P(DPP‐T3MTT) showed twice the hole mobility of P(DPP‐TPyT) in a thin‐film transistor, and a blended film of P(DPP‐T3MTT) and [6,6]‐phenyl‐C71‐butyric acid methyl ester (PC71BM) showed better power conversion efficiency in a polymer solar cell. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Nb-Pt co-doped TiO2 and the hybrid SWCNTs/Nb-Pt co-doped TiO2 thin films have been prepared by the sol–gel spin-coating process for gas-sensor fabrication. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM, TEM and X-ray diffraction (XRD) characterizations indicated that the SWCNTs inclusion did not affect the morphology of the TiO2 thin film and the particle size. Additionally, the SWCNTs were well embedded in the TiO2 matrix. The gas-sensing properties of Nb–Pt co-doped TiO2 thin films with and without SWCNTs inclusion were investigated. The hybrid sensors with the inclusion of different SWCNTs contents are examined to elucidate the effect of SWCNTs content on the gas-sensing properties. Experimental results revealed that the responses to ethanol of Nb–Pt co-doped TiO2 sensors with SWNCTs inclusion increase by factors of 2–5 depending on the operating temperature and the ethanol concentration, compared to that of the sensor without SWCNTs inclusion. Moreover, all hybrid sensors can operate with high sensitivity and stability at a relatively low operating temperature (<335 °C). The responses of the hybrid sensors are greatly affected by SWCNTs content inclusion. The optimized SWCNTs content of 0.01% by weight was obtained for our experiment. The improved gas-sensing performance should be attributed to the additional formation of the p/n junction between SWCNTs (p-type) and TiO2 (n-type).  相似文献

We show here that field emission (FE) can be used to directly observe the vibration resonances nu(R) of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and that the tension created by the applied field allows the tuning of these resonances by up to a factor of 10. The resonances are observable by the changes they create in the FE pattern or the emitted FE current. The tuning is shown to be linear in voltage and to follow from the basic physics of stretched strings. The method allows one to study the mechanical properties of individual multiwall carbon nanotubes within an ensemble and follow their evolution as the CNTs are modified. The tuning and detection should be useful for nanometric resonant devices.  相似文献

Fundamental equations of the theory of spatially reinforced media with a matrix reinforced by spherical particles are proposed on the basis of a linearly reinforced layer and tl.e hypothesis of a longitudinal state. Background  

In order to optimize the potential benefits of neural stem cell (NSC) transplantation for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, it is necessary to understand their biological characteristics. Although neurotrophin transduction strategies are promising, alternative approaches such as the modulation of intrinsic neurotrophin expression by NSCs, could also be beneficial. Therefore, utilizing the C17.2 neural stem cell line, we have examined the expression of selected neurotrophic factors under different in vitro conditions. In view of recent evidence suggesting a role for the pineal hormone melatonin in vertebrate development, it was also of interest to determine whether its G protein-coupled MT1 and MT2 receptors are expressed in NSCs.  相似文献

We have carried out the study on the isomeric ratios in (γ,p) photonuclear reactions with isotopes 40 92 Zr and 74 183 W in the giant dipole resonance (GDR) region. The targets were irradiated with bremsstrahlungs produced by electron accelerator Microtron MT-25 of the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions, Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna, Russia. Spectra of the irradiated samples were measured with a spectroscopic system consisting of 8192-channel analyzer CANBERRA and high-energy resolution semiconductor detector CANBERRA.
