Three new azo-benzene-based push-pull chromophores with dendritic architecture were synthesized as active materials for electro-optic applications. These chromophores were synthesized in six or seven synthetic steps with an overall yield of around 80% per step and high purity. UV-vis spectroscopy showed significant influence of the transient dipole moment on the observed r(33) values. The chromophores were stable to photochemical oxidation in ambient light and air. The electrical poling conditions were optimized for each chromophore as the T(g) of the composite material varied significantly. The highest EO coefficient achieved was 22-25 pm/V at 1550 nm wavelength. STEM analysis of the blends enabled the correlation of the activity of these large chromophores with the blend morphology. An amorphous polycarbonate host effectively disperses the chromophores in 2-20 nm aggregates in the active materials. However, macrophase separation into 200-500 nm aggregates was observed in a methacrylate host matrix.  相似文献

Key derivatives and analogues of fostriecin were prepared and examined that revealed a fundamental role for the unsaturated lactone and confirmed the essential nature of the phosphate monoester. Thus, an identical 200-fold reduction in protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) inhibition is observed with either the saturated lactone (7) or with an analogue that lacks the entire lactone (15). This 200-fold increase in PP2A inhibition attributable to the unsaturated lactone potentially may be due to reversible C269 alkylation within the PP beta12-beta13 active site loop accounting for PP2A/4 potency and selectivity.  相似文献

Adequate very sensitive quantification methods are needed for the development and are also now required for the monitoring of undesirable solid form(s) as routine tests. The pre-requisite for quantitation are selectivity, sensitivity and most important the purity of standards and their proper storage, what is a challenge for metastable forms. Several analytical techniques are available such as X-ray diffraction, spectroscopy, thermal analysis and microcalorimetry. The different steps of the validation of the analytical methods and problems to be solved are discussed. Examples illustrate the different techniques and compare their possible advantages and limits. The relative standard deviation of measurements should allow for checking the homogenization procedure of mixtures for calibration. The validation should be carried out following ICH guidelines for validation of analytical methods. Comparison of different techniques in adequate concentration range add confidence in the analytical results.  相似文献

In this communication, we demonstrate the feasibility of 1H detection in MAS solid-state NMR for a microcrystalline, uniformly 2H,15N-labeled sample of a SH3 domain of chicken alpha-spectrin, using pulsed field gradients for suppression of water magnetization. Today, B0 gradients are employed routinely in solution-state NMR for coherence order selection and solvent suppression. We suggest to use gradients to purge water magnetization which cannot be suppressed using conventional water suppression schemes. The achievable gain in sensitivity for 1H detection is in the order of 5 compared to the 15N detected version of the experiment (at a MAS rotation frequency of 13.5 kHz). We expect that this labeling concept which achieves high sensitivity due to 1H detection, in combination with the possibility to measure long range 1H-1H distances as we have shown previously, to be a useful tool for the determination of protein structures in the solid state.  相似文献

Antibody 38C2 efficiently catalyzes deuterium-exchange reactions at the alpha position of a variety of ketones and aldehydes, including substrates that have a variety of sensitive functional groups. In addition to the regio- and chemoselectivity of these reactions, the catalytic rates (kcat) and rate-enhancement values (kcat/kun) are among the highest values ever observed with catalytic antibodies. Comparison of the substrate range of the catalytic antibody with highly evolved aldolase enzymes, such as rabbit-muscle aldolase, highlights the much broader practical scope of the antibody, which accepts a wide range of substrates. The hydrogen-exchange reaction was used for calibration and mapping of the antibody active site. Isotope-exchange experiments with cycloheptanone reveal that the formation of the Schiff base species (as concluded from the 16O/18O exchange rate at the carbonyl oxygen) is much faster than the formation of the enamine intermediate (as concluded from the H/D exchange rate), and both steps are faster than the antibody-catalyzed aldol addition reaction.  相似文献

We report scanning tunneling microscopy observations on the restructuring of a Ag(110) surface induced by the molecule 4-[trans-2-(pyrid-4-yl-vinyl)]benzoic acid (PVBA). Our data reveal that the surface undergoes a mesoscopic step faceting following exposure to submonolayer coverages and thermal activation. A sawtooth arrangement evolves implying long-range mass transport of substrate atoms and forming a regular arrangement of kink sites. Its formation is associated with the molecules' functional headgroups forming carboxylates with [100] Ag microfacets at step edges, and eventually operating to reshape the surface morphology. Interestingly, the resulting microfacets act as chiral templates for the growth of supramolecular PVBA structures. Theoretical modeling based on ab initio results indicates that chiral recognition processes discriminating between the two enantiomers of adsorbed PVBA molecules occur in this process.  相似文献

We present final results on inclusive production ofK *+(890),K *+(1430) andK *?(890) in \(\bar K^ + p\) interactions at 32 GeV/c, based on a statistics of ~27 events/μb. Total cross sections,p T -andx-dependence of inclusive distributions are compared with experiments at other energies and with the Lund fragmentation model. Spin density matrix elements of theK *+(890) are also discussed. The results suggest that “recombination” of both initial state valence quarks \(\bar s\) andu of theK + intoK *+(890), responsible in the Lund model for ~45% of theK *+(890) cross section, is strongly suppressed.  相似文献

The production properties ofK s 0 , \(\bar \Lambda\) andK + p interactions at 32 GeV/c are investigated using the final statistics of the experiment. We present total and semi-inclusive cross sections and aver-age multiplicities. Estimates are given of the diffractive dissociation contributions to total and differential cross sections. Thex-,p T ?, and transverse mass dependence of inclusive and semi-inclusive distributions is discussed as well as properties of “prompt”K s 0 's. The ratio of “prompt”K 890 + (K 890 0 ) to “prompt”K 0 cross sections is measured to be 1.03±0.12 (0.98±0.17). From a comparison of \(\bar \Lambda\) production inK ± p interactions at 32 GeV/c, we estimate a strange sea-quark suppression of 0.26 ±0.02. The double differential cross sections ofK s 0 's is studied as a function of Feynman-x andp T 2 , and a Triple-Regge fit performed. The data are compared in detail to versions of the Lund-model for low-p T hadronic collisions.  相似文献

Two digestion-free methods for trace analysis of boron nitride based on graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) and electrothermal vaporization inductively coupled plasma spectrometry optical emission (ETV-ICP-OES) using direct solid sampling have been developed and applied to the determination of Al, Ca, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Si, Ti and Zr in four boron nitride materials in concentration intervals of 1–23, 54–735, 0.05–21, 0.005–1.3, 1.6–112, 4.5–20, 0.03–1.8, 6–46, 38–170 and 0.4–2.3 μg g− 1, respectively. At optimized experimental conditions, with both methods, effective in-situ analyte/matrix separation was achieved and calibration could be performed using calibration curves measured with aqueous standard solutions. In solid sampling GFAAS, before sampling, the platform was covered with graphite powder and, for determination of Si, also the Pd/Mg(NO3)2 modifier was used. In the determination of all analyte elements by solid sampling ETV-ICP-OES, Freon R12 was added to argon carrier gas. For solid sampling GFAAS and ETV-ICP-OES, the achievable limits of detection were within 5 (Cu)–130 (Si) ng g− 1 and 8 (Cu)–200 (Si) ng g− 1, respectively. The results obtained by these two methods for four boron nitride materials of different purity grades are compared each with the other and with those obtained in analysis of digests by ICP-OES. The performance of the two solid sampling methods is compared and discussed.  相似文献
