Polling systems in heavy traffic: Exhaustiveness of service policies

We study the expected delay in cyclic polling models with general ‘branching-type’ service disciplines. For this class of models, which contains models with exhaustive and gated service as special cases, we obtain closed-form expressions for the expected delay under standard heavy-traffic scalings. We identify a single parameter associated with the service discipline at each queue, which we call the ‘exhaustiveness’. We show that the scaled expected delay figures depend on the service policies at the queues only through the exhaustiveness of each of the service disciplines. This implies that the influence of different service disciplines, but with the same exhaustiveness, on the expected delays at the queues becomes the same when the system reaches saturation. This observation leads to a new classification of the service disciplines. In addition, we show monotonicity of the scaled expected delays with respect to the exhaustiveness of the service disciplines. This induces a complete ordering in terms of efficiency of the service disciplines. The results also lead to new rules for optimization of the system performance with respect to the service disciplines at the queues. Further, the exact asymptotic results suggest simple expected waiting-time approximations for polling models in heavy traffic. Numerical experiments show that the accuracy of the approximations is excellent for practical heavy-traffic scenarios. 四（对-羟基苯基）卟啉氧合配合物的室温固相合成，表征及氧合能力

采用固相反应合成了四羟基苯基卟啉与与Fe^2＋,Co^2＋金属离子的配合物,在室温下,将其与分子O2作用,提纯后得到两种固态氧合配合物．通过元素分析、红外光谱（IR）、核磁共振氢谱（^1HNMR）、电导、热分析（TG／DTA）、紫外光谱（UV）等测试手段确定了氧合配合物的组成为[Co·THPP·O2]（NO3）2·2H2O、[Fe·THPP·O2]Cl2·2H2O]，可知1mol配合物吸收了1molO2,采用失重法测定了氧合配合物中的配位氧,确定1mol金属配合物吸收1molO2形成超氧配合物．     

Effect of nitrogen surface doping on the work function and field emission of hydrogenated amorphous carbon films

The effect of nitrogen surface doping on the electron field emission characteristics of hydrogenated amorphous carbon films was studied. It was found that the emission threshold electric field decreased after nitrogen surface doping which indicated the reduction of the emission barrier at the film surface. It was demonstrated that this improvement arose from the decrease of the effective work function due to the formation of a dipole layer induced by chemical termination and chemical structural change on the film surface. 中物院远红外自由电子激光实验研究

中国工程物理研究院基于射频直线加速器技术的远红外自由电子激光(FIR-FEL)实验取得阶段性进展,于2005年3月24晚8时30分首次出光, 并多次重复. 中心波长115μm, 谱宽1%.介绍了实验系统的主要组成部分和主要实验结果.     

二维光电位置敏感器件的非线性修正

根据二维光电位置敏感器件 (PSD)的工作原理 ,分析了影响PSD线性度的主要因素 ,提出了一种用神经网络对PSD进行非线性修正的方法。以PSD的输入输出数据对作为样本训练的神经网络 ,利用神经网络所具有地能够以任意精度逼近非线性函数的能力 ,实现PSD的输出与实际光点位置之间的映射 ,在神经网络的输出端得到线性响应。该方法的优点是不需要很大的数据存储量即可得到很好的修正效果。结果表明 ,修正后的PSD能在较宽的位置范围内输出高线性度的信号     

146Ce核的八级形变带和准γ带

通过测量²⁵²Cf自发裂变所产生的瞬发γ射线, 对¹⁴⁶Ce核的高自旋结构进行了重新研究, 结果更新了以前报道的能级纲图, 把八级形变集体带扩展到更高的自旋, 并且重新构建了可能的准γ带结构. 此外, 用反射不对称壳模型(RASM)对¹⁴⁶Ce核的八级形变带进行了计算, 低自旋处的计算结果与实验数据符合得很好.     

The Tolerance of All-Optical Switching Based on Cascaded Second-Order Nonlinearity in PPLN APE Waveguide

Based on solving the couple mode equation numerically, the characterization of the signal power on the gate power was analyzed. And the relationship of the tolerance of the grating period and the bulk temperature on the interaction length was analyzed.     

Propagation of elegant Laguerre–Gaussian beams through an annular apertured paraxial ABCD optical system

Based on the generalized Huygens–Fresnel diffraction integral and the expansion of the hard aperture function into a finite sum of complex Gaussian functions, the approximate analytical expression of elegant Laguerre–Gaussian beams passing through a paraxial ABCD optical system with an annular aperture is derived. Meanwhile, the corresponding closed-forms for the unapertured, circular apertured or circular black screen cases are also given. The obtained results provide more convenience for studying their propagation and transformation than the usual way by using diffraction integral formula directly. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the propagation properties of elegant Laguerre–Gaussian beams.
