A convenient assembly recently proposed for screen printed gold electrodes (SPEs) suitable for measurements in gaseous samples is here tested for the analysis of the ethanol content in alcoholic drinks. This assembly involves the use of a circular crown of filter paper, soaked in the room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate, which is simply placed upon a disposable screen printed cell, so as to contact the outer edge of the gold disc working electrode, as well as peripheral counter and reference electrodes. The electrical contact between the paper crown soaked in RTIL and the SPE electrode is assured by a gasket and all components are installed in a polylactic acid holder. This assembly provides a portable and disposable electrochemical platform, assembled by the easy immobilization onto a porous and inexpensive supporting material such as paper of a RTIL characterized by profitable electrical conductivity and negligible vapor pressure. The electroanalytical performance of this device was assayed for the flow injection analysis of the ethanol concentration in some real samples of wine and beer and the results obtained are compared with the alcoholic degree reported in the relevant bottle-labels, thus highlighting a substantially satisfactory agreement. Repeatable sharp peaks (RSD=6–8 %) were detected for ethanol over a wide linear range (1–20 % v/v in water) and a detection and quantitation limit of 0.55 % v/v and 1.60 % v/v were inferred for a signal-to-noise ratio of 3 and 10, respectively.  相似文献

We present a simple combinatorial model for the characters of the irreducible integrable highest weight modules for complex symmetrizable Kac-Moody algebras. This model can be viewed as a discrete counterpart to the Littelmann path model. We describe crystal graphs and give a Littlewood-Richardson rule for decomposing tensor products of irreducible representations. The new model is based on the notion of a -chain, which is a chain of positive roots defined by certain interlacing conditions.

In this work, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) has been applied to the characterization of a plasma generated on a ternary Co–Cr–Mo alloy commonly used on hip prosthesis in air at atmospheric pressure. A method to achieve analytical results without employing any reference sample was implemented within a two-region plasma picture of a hot dense core surrounded by a colder periphery, where both self-absorption and inhomogeneity effects were taken into account. High resolution spectra of three strong Co I–II lines from different regions of the plasma plume were recorded and the analysis was carried out by means of a least-squares calibration-free algorithm. In this approach, theoretical spectra were matched to the experimental line profiles. Thus, the plasma parameters (temperature, atom, ion and electron densities) and the line widths were obtained, demonstrating the feasibility of the method to characterize the physical state of a laser-induced plasma.  相似文献

Simulated moving bed (SMB) is a cost-efficient separation technique that offers high productivity and low solvent consumption. SMB has gained importance in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry to perform complex separation tasks. However, an open and challenging problem is the optimal, robust operation of the SMB process. We have developed a control scheme that integrates the optimization and control of the SMB unit. A significant feature of the controller is that only minimal information of the system has to be provided, i.e. the linear adsorption behavior of the mixture to be separated and the average void fraction of the columns. Therefore, a full characterization of the adsorption behavior of the mixture and the columns is no longer required. In this ‘cycle to cycle’ control scheme, the measurements, optimization and control actions are performed once in every cycle. This paper presents simulation results of the control scheme applied to the separation of binary mixtures characterized by generalized Langmuir isotherms. The results are presented and analyzed in the frame of the triangle theory that has been recently extended to encompass these types of isotherms. Besides, online optimum performance of the SMB unit is compared with off-line optimization carried out using genetic algorithm. The results show that the controller fulfills the product and process specifications while operating the SMB unit optimally, regardless of the different types of Langmuir isotherms that the systems exhibit.  相似文献

Cyclobis(paraquat-p-phenylene), also known as “blue box”, is a highly electron-deficient macrocycle, widely used as a molecular receptor for small electron-rich molecules. Inserting a reactive functional group onto the molecular structure of this cyclophane is paramount for its inclusion into complex architectures. To this aim, including an alkyne moiety would be ideal, because it can participate in click reactions. However, the synthesis of such alkyne-functionalized cyclophane suffers from several drawbacks: the use of toxic and expensive CCl4, the need for high-pressure reactors, and overall low yield. We have revised the existing synthesis of this cyclophane derivative bearing an alkyne moiety, to overcome all these limitations. In particular, photochemical radical bromination is adopted to obtain a sensitive intermediate. We demonstrated that the synthesized host molecule can be functionalized via click reactions and take part in radical-radical interactions. Our work makes a key functionalized paraquat macrocycle more accessible, facilitating the development of novel redox-responsive systems.  相似文献

In this study, we revealed the significance of chemical bonding for the photochemically induced mechanism of 2-phenyl tetrazole derivatives generating nitrile imines. The correlated electron localization function shows that the formation of imine nitrile involves two key bond events: (i) the heterolytic C−N breakage taking place in the T1 state and (ii) the homolytic N−N rupture occurring in the T2 excited state. In particular, a cation-radical specie results from the C−N cleavage, whereas the N−N rupture creates a biradical resonant form of imine nitrile. Additionally, we noticed that the substantial pair delocalization of the C−C-N bonded structure could play a significant role in the conversion of the biradical imine nitrile into both the propargylic and allenic forms via the T1→S0 deactivation.  相似文献

A new SOFC anode material based upon oxygen excess perovskite related phases has been synthesised. The material shows better electrochemical performance than other alternative new anodes and comparable performance to the state-of-art of the electrodes, Ni-YSZ cermets, under pure hydrogen. Furthermore, this material shows an enhanced performance under methane operation with high open circuit voltages, i.e. 1.2-1.4 V at 950 degrees C, without using steam excess. The effect of the anode configuration was tested in one and four layer configurations. The optimised electrode polarisation resistances were just 0.12 ohm cm(2) and 0.36 ohm cm(2), at 950 degrees C, in humidified H(2) and humidified CH(4), respectively. Power densities of 0.5 W cm(-2) and 0.35 W cm(-2) were obtained in the same conditions. A very low anodic overpotential of 100 mV at 1 A cm(-2) was obtained under humidified H(2) at 950 degrees C. Samples were tested for two days in reducing and oxidising conditions, alternating heating and cooling processes from 850 degrees C to 950 degrees C, showing stable electrode performance and open circuit voltages. The results show that the substituted strontium titanates are very promising anode materials for SOFC.  相似文献

Rapid well-controlled intracellular delivery of drug compounds, RNA, or DNA into a cell--without permanent damage to the cell--is a pervasive challenge in basic cell biology research, drug discovery, and gene delivery. To address this challenge, we have developed a bench-top system comprised of a control interface, that mates to disposable 96-well-formatted microfluidic devices, enabling the individual manipulation, electroporation and real-time monitoring of each cell in suspension. This is the first demonstrated real-time feedback-controlled electroporation of an array of single-cells. Our computer program automatically detects electroporation events and subsequently releases the electric field, precluding continued field-induced damage of the cell, to allow for membrane resealing. Using this novel set-up, we demonstrate the reliable electroporation of an array (n = 15) of individual cells in suspension, using low applied electric fields (<1 V) and the rapid and localized intracellular delivery of otherwise impermeable compounds (Calcein and Orange Green Dextran). Such multiplexed electrical and optical measurements as a function of time are not attainable with typical electroporation setups. This system, which mounts on an inverted microscope, obviates many issues typically associated with prototypical microfluidic chip setups and, more importantly, offers well-controlled and reproducible parallel pressure and electrical application to individual cells for repeatability.  相似文献

A method for the simultaneous determination of eight beta-lactam antibiotics (nafcillin, cloxacillin, oxacillin, dicloxacillin, ampicillin, amoxicillin, and penicillin G) in fortified milk samples of different origins has been proposed by using CZE with diode-array detection (CZE-DAD). Optimum separation was obtained on a 64.5 cm x 75 microm bubble cell capillary using 175 mM Tris buffer with 20% ethanol at pH 8.0. Methylparaben has been used as an internal standard (IS). Taking into account the lack of sensitivity of the UV-Vis detection, a solvent extraction/SPE method was applied for off-line preconcentration and sample cleanup, and also an on-line preconcentration methodology, such as large-volume sample stacking (LVSS) with polarity switching, was developed, providing LODs ranging from 2 to 10 microg/L. The method permits the quantification of these residues below the levels established in milk by the EU Regulation. Satisfactory recoveries ranging from 86 to 93% were also obtained in milk samples of different origins.  相似文献
