Synthesis of New Organophosphorus Derivatives of Acylureas and Acylsemicarbazides

A convenient route to phosphorus acylureas and acylsemicarbazides is reported. The syntheses of the new compounds involve the reaction between a chloroacetyl compound and various phosphorus starting materials (dithiophosphate, phosphine, phosphite and phosphinite).     

Synthesis of diphosphine dioxides for extraction of actinides using supported liquid membranes technology

A recurrent method for synthesis of diphosphine dioxides to be used for extraction of actinides from acidic aqueous solution is described. Selective phosphonium salt formation and cleavage permits the stepwise introduction of different bridges between the phosphorus atoms as well as various chains on them. The influence of the structural parameters on liquid-liquid extraction properties of plutonium, neptunium, and americium is studied. Plutonium and neptunium can be efficiently removed from radioactive contaminated liquid wastes, using the supported liquid membranes technology with the more lipophilic organophosphorus extractants. © John Wiley & Sons, Inc.     

A convenient synthesis of tetrazole, precursors of α-dialkylated α-amino acids, by reaction of trimethylsilyl azide with α-dialkylated β-ketoesters

The Schmidt rearrangement using trimethylsilyl azide with various α-dialkylated β-keto esters affords a convenient synthesis of tetrazole, precursors of α-dialkylated α-amino acids.

Use of Ph3P=N‐Li: Synthesis of α,β‐unsaturated nitriles from α,β‐unsaturated esters via the formation of N‐(α,β‐unsaturated acyl) phosphinimines

The reaction of Ph₃P=NLi with various α,β‐unsaturated esters gives access to new N‐(α,β‐unsaturated acyl) phosphinimines, which can undergo intramolecular aza‐Wittig reactions (at 65–110°C) to afford the corresponding nitriles. The structures of all new compounds were established by elementary analyses, IR, ¹H‐, ¹³C‐, and ³¹P‐NMR spectroscopy. © 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Heteroatom Chem 10: 49–54, 1999     

Inversion de polarite a4 des cetones α-alleniques par le groupe triphenylphosphonio

The a⁴ umpolung of α-allenic ketone sis performed using the triphenylphosphonio group. It results in inducing an electrophilic character at the carbon ψ to the carbonyl function and in changing the regioselectivity of the additions of active hydrogen compounds on the carbon-carbon double bond to give finally the adducts $\text{4}$ (Fig. 1).This new umpolung method is illustrated here in the case of the addition of methanol on allenyl methyl ketone $\text{1a}$ (Fig. 2).
