Silica spheres were prepared by the St?ber method, and the method of labeling with pyrene, using aminopropylysilane as the linking agent, was optimized. Excimers between particles were formed when high concentrations of label were used. Both surfactant and polyelectrolyte addition were able to cause floc formation when added to suspensions of the silica, but only the surfactant changed the I(1)/I(3) ratio and diminished excimer formation. We consider the motion of a non-Newtonian fluid with shear dependent viscosity between two cylinders. We prove regularity results for the second derivatives of the velocity and the first derivatives of the pressure up to the boundary. A similar problem is studied in reference [2] in the case of a flat boundary. Here we extend the techniques applied in [2] to cylindrical coordinates.   相似文献

DC magnetization, neutron depolarization and neutron diffraction (with both polarized and unpolarized neutrons) measurements have been reported for the Co1.1−x Zn x Ge0.1Fe1.2O1 spinels with x=0.5, 0.6 and 0.7. Neutron depolarization and neutron diffraction measurements confirm the presence of a long range ferrimagnetic ordering of the local canted spins in these ferrite samples. The observed features of low field magnetization have been explained under the framework of thermally activated domain wall movement of ferrimagnetic arrangement of local canted spins. An important role of magnetic anisotropy (due to the presence of Co2+ ions) in establishing the magnetic ordering and domain kinetics in these ferrites has been observed.  相似文献

We consider the problem of the asymptotic behaviour in the L2‐norm of solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations. We consider perturbations to the rest state and to stationary motions. In both cases we study the initial‐boundary value problem in unbounded domains with non‐compact boundary. ac Conductivity measurements are carried out across the metal to insulator transition in NiAl0.7Cr0.7Fe0.6O4. The low frequency data is analyzed using Summerfield scaling theory for hopping conductivity. The exponent of the scaling behavior has significantly different values in the conducting and insulating regimes. The hopping frequency and the zero frequency conductivity are found to increase with temperature, slowly in the metallic regime and rapidly in the insulating regime.  相似文献
