A nondestructive method has been used for the qualitative and quantitative determination of elements such as Au, Cu, Ag in minerals and especially in golden sand. The induced radioactivity has been analyzed with a high resolution gamma spectrometer containing a Ge(Li) semiconductor detector type and a multichannel analyzer. The samples have been collected from the alluvia of the Mure and Someul Mic river basins, proving the presence of gold and copper in small concentrations. These results have been correlated to previous data showing the existence of some gold mines in these zones. This nondestructive, rapid and highly sensitive method can be used for industrial processes [1] control and prospections. The use of a NaI(Tl) scintillation crystal for routine measurements of the 198Au radioisotope type and the interferences by copper, silver and indium in the irradiated samples are discussed.  相似文献

The results of EPR and magnetic susceptibility studies on xCuO·(1?x)? [2B2O3·Li2O] glasses with 0?x?30 mol %, are reported. The modification of EPR spectra with the increasing of CuO content are explained supposing that these are the result of the superposition of two EPR signals, one showing the hyperfine structure typical for isolated Cu2+ ions and other consisting from a broad line centered at g ~ 2 typical for the clustered Cu2+ ions. The values of the EPR parameters prove that the coordination of isolated Cu2+ -complexes remains approximately the same and show that Cu2+ ions are situated in axially distorted octahedral vicinities. EPR measurements have shown that the Cu2+ ions are present mostly as the isolated species when x?5 mol %. Beside the dipole-dipole coupling between Cu2+ ions, the magnetic measurements suggest that for x>10 mol % superexchange interactions appear, too. From Curie constant is established that in this glass system the copper ions are in Cu2+ and Cu+ valence states. Also, the amounts of the copper ions in bivalent state are determined.  相似文献

Soil contamination by metals is a common problem encountered in many industrialized countries. In this work we present a new approach for heavy metals detection by using surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy. Zn(II) can be clearly determined by SERS in contaminated soil by using 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) as chelating molecule for the metal ion. The SERS spectra of PAR, of its metal chelates and of the soil extract-PAR mixture were recorded using a hydroxylamine reduced silver colloid. An excellent match of the PAR-contaminated soil extracts SERS spectrum to the Zn(PAR)2 SERS spectrum can be observed, demonstrating the presence of Zn(II) in the soil probes. Density functional theory (DFT) based calculations were also performed for a reliable assignment of SERS spectra.  相似文献

The changes observed in the IR and ESR spectra of the xV2O5(1 ? x)[0.8P2O5 ? 0.2BaO] glass system with 0  x  50 mol% show that vanadium oxide acts as a network modifier at low concentration (x  5 mol%) and as a network former for high content (x  10 mol%). Thus the IR bands belonging to the phosphate groups are strongly reduced except the specific bands of the short chain phosphate units due to the phosphate network depolymerization and the spectra are dominated by the vibrations characteristic for POP, POV and VOV linkages. At the same time the changes observed in the ESR spectra of these glasses are explained supposing the superposition of two signals, one with a well-resolved hyperfine structure typical for isolated V4+ ions and a broad line characteristic for clustered ions. The line width dependence versus V2O5 content shows that dipole–dipole interactions exist between vanadium ions until x = 5 mol% and the superexchange interactions prevail at high content (x > 10 mol%).  相似文献

In order to get insight into the chemical heterogeneities of solid tumors, here we report the first surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) experiment from normal and altered epithelial layer in human colon carcinoma tissues. The Ag colloidal nanoparticles that can be incorporated into the interstitial space in solid tumors or those penetrating into cytoplasm or nucleus of many cells allowed high quality SERS signal. Different tissue structures of tumor and normal colon have characteristic features in SERS spectra. Prominent SERS features of malignant tissue spectra are related to the strong enhancement of the bands preponderantly attributable to DNA or RNA bases. The preliminary studies demonstrate that it is possible to probe Ag colloidal nanoparticles adsorption onto the tissue resulting in a strong molecular signaling with high specificity and rapid acquisition time using visible laser line excitation.
