A new technique, desorption electrospray ionization coupled to mass spectrometry (DESI‐MS), has been used as a tool for reaction analysis. Charged droplets of a reagent are sprayed onto the catalyst, which has previously been deposited on a surface in front of a mass analyzer. The reaction starts as the droplets impact the catalyst on the surface and continues inside secondary microdroplets that are desorbed from the surface. These are directed toward the mass spec inlet. Using this technique, the very first milliseconds of a reaction can be observed. The first example describes the discovery of an extremely short‐lived intermediate in a C‐H amination reaction cycle. Another example describes how DESI‐MS has been used to identify catalyst arrest mechanisms in ruthenium catalyzed C‐H hydroxylation.  相似文献

Three Mn(III) porphyrins were used for the design of carbon paste and diamond paste based microelectrodes, which were employed for the determination of dopamine in pharmaceutical and biological samples using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The limits of detection lie between 1.6 × 10−13 and 2.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 while the sensitivities were between 230 pA μmol L−1 and 3.24 μA mol L−1. Dopamine was recovered reliable from pharmaceutical and biological samples in percentages higher than 91.00% and 92.00%, respectively. The surface of the microelectrodes can easily be renewed by simple polishing, obtaining a fresh surface ready for use in a new assay.  相似文献

In support of a deeper understanding of the chemistry of cyanoacetylene--a known constituent of planetary atmospheres and interstellar space--theoretical and experimental studies address the chemical mechanism of dimerization and trimerization, and provide high-resolution rotational spectra of two of the trimeric products, 1,2,3- and 1,2,4-tricyanobenzene. Analysis of the rotational spectra is particularly challenging because of quadrupolar coupling from three (14)N nuclei. The laboratory rotational spectra provide the basis for future searches for these polar aromatic compounds in interstellar space by radio astronomy.  相似文献

This paper is the first one investigating the simultaneous use of carbohydrate chromatography and ion chromatography to obtain in one run conclusive data on juice’s authenticity. A hybrid liquid chromatographic system with conductivity and differential refractive index detection, equipped with an Universal Cation 7u column for cation analysis and with a EC 250/4 Nucleodur 100-5 NH2 RP column for carbohydrate analysis, was designed for this study. In less than 18 min, this configuration can separate simultaneously six cations (lithium, sodium, ammonium, potassium, magnesium and calcium) and four carbohydrates (fructose, glucose, saccharose and maltose). Commercial orange and apple juices obtained from the Romanian market were analyzed during this research.  相似文献

Current and future wireless environments are based on the coexistence of multiple networks supported by various access technologies deployed by different operators. As wireless network deployments increase, their usage is also experiencing a significant growth. In this heterogeneous multi-technology multi-application multi-terminal multi-user environment users will be able to freely connect to any of the available access technologies. Network selection mechanisms will be required in order to keep mobile users “always best connected” anywhere and anytime. In such a heterogeneous environment, game theory techniques can be adopted in order to understand and model competitive or cooperative scenarios between rational decision makers. In this work we propose a theoretical framework for combining reputation-based systems, game theory and network selection mechanism. We define a network reputation factor which reflects the network’s previous behaviour in assuring service guarantees to the user. Using the repeated Prisoner’s Dilemma game, we model the user–network interaction as a cooperative game and we show that by defining incentives for cooperation and disincentives against defecting on service guarantees, repeated interaction sustains cooperation.  相似文献

Proteins of all living organisms including plants, animals, and humans are made up of amino acid monomers that show identical stereochemical L-configuration. Hypotheses for the origin of this symmetry breaking in biomolecules include the absolute asymmetric photochemistry model by which interstellar ultraviolet (UV) circularly polarized light (CPL) induces an enantiomeric excess in chiral organic molecules in the interstellar/circumstellar media. This scenario is supported by a) the detection of amino acids in the organic residues of UV-photo-processed interstellar ice analogues, b) the occurrence of L-enantiomer-enriched amino acids in carbonaceous meteorites, and c) the observation of CPL of the same helicity over large distance scales in the massive star-forming region of Orion. These topics are of high importance in topical biophysical research and will be discussed in this review. Further evidence that amino acids and other molecules of prebiotic interest are asymmetrically formed in space comes from studies on the enantioselective photolysis of amino acids by UV-CPL. Also, experiments have been performed on the absolute asymmetric photochemical synthesis of enantiomer-enriched amino acids from mixtures of astrophysically relevant achiral precursor molecules using UV-circularly polarized photons. Both approaches are based on circular dichroic transitions of amino acids that will be highlighted here as well. These results have strong implications on our current understanding of how life's precursor molecules were possibly built and how life selected the left-handed form of proteinogenic amino acids.  相似文献

Computer-generated holograms displayed by phase-modulating spatial light modulators have become a well-established tool for beam shaping purposes in holographic optical tweezers. Still, the generation of light intensity patterns with high spatial symmetry and simultaneously without interfering ghost traps is a challenge. We have implemented an iterative Fourier transform algorithm that is capable of controlling these ghost traps and demonstrate the benefit of this approach in the experiment.  相似文献

We study experimentally and numerically the second-harmonic ?erenkov emission with two different characteristic azimuthal intensity distributions in strontium barium niobate with a random structure of χ2 nonlinearity. We monitor in situ the ?erenkov emission during domain switching and show that a change of domain size and shape results in a fourfold azimuthal modulation of the ?erenkov cone.  相似文献
