A constrained form of the Weber problem is formulated in which no path is permitted to enter a prespecified forbidden region of the plane. Using the calculus of variations the shortest path between two points which does not intersect is determined. If is unconstrained distance, we denote the shortes distance along a feasible path by . The constrained Weber problem is, then: given points and positive weights wj, j = 1,2,…,n, find a point such that is a minimum.An algorithm is formulated for the solution of this problem when is Euclidean distance and is a single circular region. Bulk superconducting samples of type Tl0.5Pb0.5Sr1.6Ba0.4CaCu2−x

O7−δ, (Tl, Pb)/Sr-1212, with 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.525 were prepared by the conventional one-step solid-state reaction technique. The prepared samples were investigated
using X-ray powder diffraction, electrical resistivity and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements. Enhancement
of the phase formation, superconducting transition temperature T
c and hole carriers concentration P was observed up to x = 0.075. For x > 0.075, a reverse trend was observed. EPR spectra were measured at different temperatures (120–290 K) for all prepared samples.
The number of spins N participating in the resonance and the paramagnetic susceptibility χ were calculated as a function of both Ru-content and
temperature. N and χ increased as the Ru-content increased. A linear relationship between logN and 1/T was established, from which the activation energy E
a was calculated as a function of the Ru-content. The temperature dependence of χ was fitted according to Curie–Weiss type
of magnetic behavior. Curie constant C, Curie temperature θ, the effective magnetic moment μ and the electronic specific heat γ were estimated as a function of the Ru-content. 相似文献

We study J/psi production in pp collisions at BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) within the PHENIX detector acceptance range using the color singlet and color octet mechanism which are based on perturbative QCD and nonrelativistic QCD. Here we show that the color octet mechanism reproduces the RHIC data for J/psi production in pp collisions with respect to the p(T) distribution, the rapidity distribution, and the total cross section at square root = 200 GeV. The color singlet mechanism leads to a relatively small contribution to the total cross section when compared to the octet contribution. 相似文献

We discuss the interplay between transport and intrinsic dissipation in quantum Hall bilayers, within the framework of a simple thought experiment. We compute, for the first time, quantum corrections to the semiclassical dynamics of this system. This allows us to reinterpret tunneling measurements on these systems. We find a strong peak in the zero-temperature tunneling current that arises from the decay of Josephson-like oscillations into incoherent charge fluctuations. In the presence of an in-plane field, resonances in the tunneling current develop an asymmetric line shape. 相似文献
