Peptides have important biological functions. However, their susceptibility to proteolysis limits their applications. We demonstrated here for the first time, that poly(2‐oxazoline) (POX) can work as a functional mimic of peptides. POX‐based glycine pseudopeptides, a host defense peptide mimic, had potent activities against methicillin‐resistant S. aureus, which causes formidable infections. The POX mimic showed potent activity against persisters that are highly resistant to antibiotics. S. aureus did not develop resistance to POX owning to the reactive oxygen species related antimicrobial mechanism. POX‐treated S. aureus is sensitive to common antibiotics, demonstrating no observable antimicrobial pressure or cross‐resistance in using antimicrobial POX. This study highlights POX as a new type of functional mimic of peptides and opens new avenues in designing and exploring peptide mimetics for biological functions and applications. 相似文献
Reliable methods for enantioselective cis‐dihydroxylation of trisubstituted alkenes are scarce. The iron(II) complex cis‐α‐[FeII(2‐Me2‐BQPN)(OTf)2], which bears a tetradentate N4 ligand (Me2‐BQPN=(R,R)‐N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐bis(2‐methylquinolin‐8‐yl)‐1,2‐diphenylethane‐1,2‐diamine), was prepared and characterized. With this complex as the catalyst, a broad range of trisubstituted electron‐deficient alkenes were efficiently oxidized to chiral cis‐diols in yields of up to 98 % and up to 99.9 % ee when using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as oxidant under mild conditions. Experimental studies (including 18O‐labeling, ESI‐MS, NMR, EPR, and UV/Vis analyses) and DFT calculations were performed to gain mechanistic insight, which suggested possible involvement of a chiral cis‐FeV(O)2 reaction intermediate as an active oxidant. This cis‐[FeII(chiral N4 ligand)]2+/H2O2 method could be a viable green alternative/complement to the existing OsO4‐based methods for asymmetric alkene dihydroxylation reactions. 相似文献
A transition‐metal‐free C(sp2)?C(sp2) bond formation reaction by the cross‐coupling of diazo quinones with catechol boronic esters was developed. With this protocol, a variety of biaryls and alkenyl phenols were obtained in good to high yields under mild conditions. The reaction tolerates various functionalities and is applicable to the derivatization of pharmaceuticals and natural products. The synthetic utility of the method was demonstrated by the short synthesis of multi‐substituted triphenylenes and three bioactive natural products, honokiol, moracin M, and stemofuran A. Mechanistic studies and density functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed that the reaction involves attack of the boronic ester by a singlet quinone carbene followed by a 1,2‐rearrangement through a stepwise mechanism. 相似文献
We study the asymptotic dynamics of stochastic Young differential delay equations under the regular assumptions on Lipschitz continuity of the coefficient functions. Our main results show that, if there is a linear part in the drift term which has no delay factor and has eigenvalues of negative real parts, then the generated random dynamical system possesses a random pullback attractor provided that the Lipschitz coefficients of the remaining parts are small.
In this paper, the issue of adaptive neural tracking control for uncertain switched multi-input multi-output (MIMO) nonstrict-feedback nonlinear systems with average dwell time is studied. The system under consideration includes unknown dead-zone inputs and output constraints. The uncertain nonlinear functions are identified via neural networks. Also, neural networks-based switched observer is constructed to approximate all unmeasurable states. By means of the information for dead-zone slopes and barrier Lyapunov function (BLF), the problems of dead-zone inputs and output constraints are tackled. Furthermore, dynamic surface control (DSC) scheme is employed to ensure that the computation burden is greatly reduced. Then, an observer-based adaptive neural control strategy is developed on the basis of backstepping technique and multiple Lyapunov functions approach. Under the designed controller, all the signals existing in switched closed-loop system are bounded, and system outputs can track the target trajectories within small bounded errors. Finally, the feasibility of the presented control algorithm is proved via simulation results.
