Three new series of phosphorus-containing dendrimers are described. Their solubility depends on the type of end groups they bear. Perfluoroalkyl chains give dendrimers soluble in chlorofluorocarbons, whereas guanidinium and pyridinium derivatives give water-soluble compounds. The thermal stability of these compounds, as well as of 19 other dendrimers of various generations, having various cores, or various end groups, or branching points is studied. The main feature of this study is that the internal structure of these dendrimers is thermally stable at least up to 376°C. The number of the generation has practically no influence, whereas the principal criterion influencing the thermal stability is the type of end groups. The water-soluble cationic dendrimers are the least stable, but even those are stable up to 225°C. For most of these dendrimers, an important percentage of mass (around 50%) is retained even at a temperature as high as 1000°C. In the best case, up to 70% of the initial mass is retained at 1000°C. 相似文献

Enantiopure aromatic (phenyl, naphthyl) and heteroaromatic (pyridyl, quinolyl, diazinyl) sulfoxides have been synthesized by reaction of (S)-tert-butyl tert-butanethiosulfinate with aryl- or heteroaryllithium derivatives. The ortho-directed metalation of the sulfoxides was performed with lithium bases. Subsequent addition of the lithiated intermediates to N-tosylimines afforded tosylaminoalkyl tert-butylsulfinyl arenes. In most cases a complete asymmetric induction was highlighted in favor of (S,S) isomers. Heating the aminosulfoxides provided an original cyclization to form novel cyclic sulfenamides. A novel enantiopure synthesis of a benzylamine was described. An application of an enantiopure aminosulfoxide as N,S ligand for the asymmetric catalysis of allylic nucleophilic substitution has been successfully tested. 相似文献

Identifying the active nucleophile in hydrolysis reactions catalyzed by binuclear hydrolases is a recurrent problem and a matter of intense debate. We report on the phosphate ester hydrolysis by a FeIIIFeII complex of a binucleating ligand. This complex presents activities in the range of those observed for similar biomimetic compounds in the literature. The specific electronic properties of the FeIIIFeII complex allowed us to use 1H NMR and Mössbauer spectroscopies to investigate the nature of the various species present in the solution in the pH range of 5–10. Both techniques showed that the hydrolysis activity is associated to a μ‐hydroxido FeIIIFeII species. Further 1H NMR experiments show that binding of anions or the substrate changes this bonding mode suggesting that a terminal hydroxide is the likely nucleophile in these hydrolysis reactions. This view is further supported by the structure determination of the hydrolysis product. 相似文献

Metal‐catalyzed nitrene transfer reactions arouse intense interest as clean and efficient procedures for amine synthesis. Efficient Rh‐ and Ru‐based catalysts exist but Fe alternatives are actively pursued. However, reactive iron imido species can be very short‐lived and getting evidence of their occurrence in efficient nitrene‐transfer reactions is an important challenge. We recently reported that a diiron(III,II) complex is a very efficient nitrene‐transfer catalyst to various substrates. We describe herein how, by combining desorption electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, quantitative chemical quench experiments, and DFT calculations, we obtained conclusive evidence for the occurrence of an {FeIIIFeIV?NTosyl} intermediate that is very active in H‐abstraction and nitrene‐transfer reactions. DFT calculations revealed a strong radical character of the tosyl nitrogen atom in very low‐lying electronic configurations of the FeIV ion which are likely to confer its high reactivity. 相似文献

The reaction between 2-(hydroxyethyl)pyridine (hepH) and a 2:1 molar mixture of [Mn3O(O2CMe)6(py)3](ClO4) and [Mn3O(O2CMe)6(py)3](py) in MeCN leads to isolation of [Mn18O14(O2CMe)18(hep)4(hepH)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1) in 10% yield. The complex is 2MnII,16MnIII and consists of a Mn4O6 central unit to either side of which is attached a Mn7O9 unit. Magnetization data collected in the 2.0-4.0 K and 20-50 kG ranges were fit to yield S = 13, g = 1.86, and D = -0.13 cm-1 = -0.19 K, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. AC susceptibility studies in the 0.04-4.0 K range at frequencies up to 996 Hz display out-of-phase (chiM' ') signals, indicative of a single-molecule magnet (SMM). Magnetization vs applied DC field scans exhibit hysteresis at <1.0 K, confirming 1 to be a SMM. DC magnetization decay data were collected on both a microcrystalline sample and a single crystal, and the combined data were used to construct an Arrhenius plot. Between 3.50 and 0.50 K, the relaxation rate is temperature-dependent with an effective barrier to relaxation (Ueff) of 14.8 cm-1 = 21.3 K. Below ca. 0.25 K, the relaxation rate is temperature-independent at 1.3 x 10-8 s-1, indicative of quantum tunneling of magnetization (QTM) between the lowest energy Ms = +/-13 levels of the S = 13 state. Complex 1 is both the largest spin and highest nuclearity SMM to exhibit QTM. 相似文献

Recently, multifunctional silica nanoparticles have been investigated extensively for their potential use in biomedical applications. We have prepared sub-micron monodisperse and stable multifunctional mesoporous silica particles with a high level of magnetization and fluorescence in the near infrared region using an one-pot synthesis technique. Commercial magnetite nanocrystals and a conjugated-NIR-dye were incorporated inside the particles during the silica condensation reaction. The particles were then coated with polyethyleneglycol to stop aggregation. X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption analysis, TEM, fluorescence and absorbance measurements were used to structurally characterize the particles. These mesoporous silica spheres have a large surface area (1978 m2/g) with 3.40 nm pore diameter and a high fluorescence in the near infrared region at λ=700 nm. To explore the potential of these particles for drug delivery applications, the pore accessibility to hydrophobic drugs was simulated by successfully trapping a hydrophobic ruthenium dye complex inside the particle with an estimated concentration of 3 wt%. Fluorescence imaging confirmed the presence of both NIR dye and the post-grafted ruthenium dye complex inside the particles. These particles moved at approximately 150 μm/s under the influence of a magnetic field, hence demonstrating the multifunctionality and potential for biomedical applications in targeting and imaging. 相似文献

Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) are key regulators of cellular functions in metazoans. In vertebrates, RTKs are mostly activated by polypeptides but are not naturally sensitive to amino acids or light. Taking inspiration from Venus kinase receptors (VKRs), an atypical family of RTKs found in nature, we have transformed the human insulin (hIR) and hepatocyte growth factor receptor (hMET) into glutamate receptors by replacing their extracellular binding domains with the ligand‐binding domain of metabotropic glutamate receptor type 2 (mGluR2). We then imparted light sensitivity through covalent attachment of a synthetic glutamate‐based photoswitch via a self‐labelling SNAP tag. By employing a Xenopus laevis oocyte kinase activity assay, we demonstrate how these chimeric RTKs, termed light‐controlled human insulin receptor (LihIR) and light‐controlled human MET receptor (LihMET), can be used to exert optical control over the insulin or MET signaling pathways. Our results outline a potentially general strategy to convert RTKs into photoreceptors. 相似文献

The functionalisation of the title compounds via regioselective Directed ortho-Metallation (DoM) and cross-coupling reactions is studied. The compatibility of the 3,7-DiOxa-r-1-AzaBicyclo[3.3.0]Oct-c-5-ylmethoxy system (DOABO-CH2O) to typical reaction conditions is established. Nanostructures derived from amphiphilic DNA–polymer conjugates have emerged prominently due to their rich self‐assembly behavior; however, their synthesis is traditionally challenging. Here, we report a novel platform technology towards DNA–polymer nanostructures of various shapes by leveraging polymerization‐induced self‐assembly (PISA) for polymerization from single‐stranded DNA (ssDNA). A “grafting from” protocol for thermal RAFT polymerization from ssDNA under ambient conditions was developed and utilized for the synthesis of functional DNA–polymer conjugates and DNA–diblock conjugates derived from acrylates and acrylamides. Using this method, PISA was applied to manufacture isotropic and anisotropic DNA–polymer nanostructures by varying the chain length of the polymer block. The resulting nanostructures were further functionalized by hybridization with a dye‐labelled complementary ssDNA, thus establishing PISA as a powerful route towards intrinsically functional DNA–polymer nanostructures. 相似文献
