Investigation of the structure of the lithiated bicyclic guanidine 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine (hppH) has led to the reproducible isolation of compounds containing the 'Li9(hpp)7(O2)' core, in which a peroxide dianion has been encapsulated within a mono-capped, cubic array of lithium ions.  相似文献

We report that planar chiral structures affect the polarization state of light in a manner similar to three-dimensional chiral (optical active) media. In experiments with artificial metal-on-silicon chiral planar gratings of 442 wallpaper group symmetry, containing millions of chiral elements per square centimeter, we observed rotation of the polarization azimuth in excess of 30 degrees of light diffracted from it. The rotation was found to change its sign for two enantiomeric forms of the media and to have components associated with both the structural arrangement and the chirality of individual structural elements.  相似文献

We report a measurement of the cross section for the process γγπ+π? at invariant masses 500 MeV/c2 < mππ<2000 MeV/c2. A value for the radiative width of the f(1270) tensor meson Γf→γγ = 3.6 ± 0.3 ± 0.5 KeV (helicity λ = 2) has been obtained from a fit to the observed ππ mass spectrum.  相似文献

In this work we report the characterization of two organosiloxane liquid crystalline compounds by means of DSC, polarizing optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. These compounds can be used for dye guest-host ferroelectric displays. We focus this investigation on the molecular organization of the SmC phases of the two pure compounds to help elucidate the physical behaviour of mixtures with different concentrations of the dye and the guest host. The existence of longitudinal and transverse dipoles in the molecules of the dye and the chiral guest-host respectively are responsible for the different molecular organizations in the SmC mesophases of each compound. Taking into account the experimental results and the complexity of the molecules, we present coherent models to explain the molecular arrangements in the mesophases of both compounds.  相似文献

The rationR=σ(e + e ?→hadrons)/σ(e + e ?→ µ+ µ?) was measured with the LENA detector at DORIS in a scan between 7.40 and 7.48 GeV and between 8.67 and 9.43 GeV center of mass energies. Corrected for QED radiative effects,R is found to be constant with an average value ofR=3.37 ±0.06stat±0.23syst. No narrow resonances withΓ ee (Γ had/Γ tot)?0.30 keV (95% C.L.) and no steps have been observed. Based on this value ofR, revised values for υ(1S) resonance parameters are presented.  相似文献

classes are important to the logical analysis of many parts of mathematics. The classes form a lattice. As with the lattice of computably enumerable sets, it is natural to explore the relationship between this lattice and the Turing degrees. We focus on an analog of maximality, or more precisely, hyperhypersimplicity, namely the notion of a thin class. We prove a number of results relating automorphisms, invariance, and thin classes. Our main results are an analog of Martin's work on hyperhypersimple sets and high degrees, using thin classes and anc degrees, and an analog of Soare's work demonstrating that maximal sets form an orbit. In particular, we show that the collection of perfect thin classes (a notion which is definable in the lattice of classes) forms an orbit in the lattice of classes; and a degree is anc iff it contains a perfect thin class. Hence the class of anc degrees is an invariant class for the lattice of classes. We remark that the automorphism result is proven via a automorphism, and demonstrate that this complexity is necessary.
