We have constructed a fast atomic-beam collinear laser spectroscopy system connected to the on-line isotope separator facility GARIS/IGISOL at RIKEN. This system is potentially powerful in studying refractory elements. To test the system, an off-line collinear experiment was made on stable Hf isotopes produced by means of laser ablation technique. For production of radioactive Hf isotopes, the use of the inverse kinematics of a fusion reaction,9Be(166Er,xn)175-x Hf, was investigated. The radioactive isotope169Hf was successfully extracted from GARIS/IGISOL and accelerated up to 30 keV.  相似文献

A novel multicollision induced dissociation scheme is employed to determine the energy content for mass-selected gallium cluster ions as a function of their temperature. Measurements were performed for Ga(+)(n) (n=17 39, and 40) over a 90-720 K temperature range. For Ga+39 and Ga+40 a broad maximum in the heat capacity-a signature of a melting transition for a small cluster-occurs at around 550 K. Thus small gallium clusters melt at substantially above the 302.9 K melting point of bulk gallium, in conflict with expectations that they will remain liquid to below 150 K. No melting transition is observed for Ga+17.  相似文献

We have investigated electron-boson coupling in the optical conductivity of high-Tc superconductors through the optical self-energy. The real part of the self-energy (ReΣop(ω)) of YBa2Cu3Oy (YBCO) shows a characteristic doping dependence. In the optimally doped YBCO, ReΣop(ω) has a single peak around 65 meV, which corresponds to the kink structure of the band dispersion. On the other hand, in the under-doped YBCO, the peak structure of ReΣop(ω) splits into two parts. To evaluate contribution from the phonons in electron-boson coupling, we have measured oxygen-isotope effects by substituting 16O→18O for the optimally doped and under-doped YBCO.  相似文献

利用传输线中的电感单元和电压叠加的方式来获得纳秒(ns)级矩形高压脉冲是一种全新的思路。描述了这种发生器的基本原理,并利用同轴电缆和MOSFET开关制作了两种原型脉冲发生器(单线型和双线型)来论证此方案的可行性,并进行了初步实验验证,在四模块叠加的情况下,分别实现了4 kV/20 A,20 ns和2 kV/40A,20 ns的短脉冲。实验结果表明,电感型脉冲形成线电压叠加器是一种有潜力的紧凑型高压脉冲发生器。  相似文献

A systematic experimental study on muon-catalyzed fusion was conducted using a series of solid deuterium and tritium mixtures. A variety of conditions were investigated, i.e., tritium concentrations from 20% to 70%, and temperatures from 5 to 16 K. With decreasing temperature, we observed an unexpected decrease in the muon cycling rate (lambda(c)) and an increase in the muon loss probability (W). The origins of these observed changes were interpreted by the temperature-dependence in the dt mu formation process for lambda(c) and that in the muon reactivation process after muon-to-alpha sticking for W.  相似文献

The ring inversion process for a series of 3,5‐dialkyl‐1‐oxa‐3,5‐diazacyclohexanes was studied using proton dynamic nuclear magnetic resonance (1H DNMR) spectroscopy in conjunction with semiempirical calculations. At low temperature, the ring methylene protons decoalesced into two AB spin systems in a 2:1 ratio. Lineshape simulations of the DNMR spectra provided first‐order rate constants for magnetic exchange. The energy barrier for each inversion reaction was calculated from the respective rate constants. In general, as the size of the N‐alkyl group increased, the barrier to ring inversion decreased. A similar trend was seen in semiempirical calculations that modeled the ring inversion process. The diffusion coefficients of Li in the NaTl-type Li intermetallic compound of β-LiGa have been measured by using a short-lived radioactive diffusion tracer. As the tracer, the α-emitting radioisotope of 8Li delivered as the energetic and pulsed beam from Tokai Radioactive Ion Accelerator Complex (TRIAC) was implanted into the β-LiGa compounds with the composition in the range of about 43 to 54 at.% Li. By analyzing the time-dependent yields of the α-particles measured according to the repetition cycle of the beam, the tracer diffusion coefficients were extracted over the wide range of Li composition. Abnormal composition-dependence of Li diffusion coefficients in β-LiGa was observed; the stoichiometric β-LiGa showed the highest diffusivity of Li. By referring to the composition-dependent diffusivity of Li in the iso-structural β-LiAl and β-LiIn, we could identify the abnormal diffusion of Li in very Li-poor composition of β-LiGa. The anomaly has been discussed qualitatively in terms of the formation of defect complex and the interaction between the constitutional defects.  相似文献

We demonstrate the advantages of using a single-crystal sapphire fiber to perform Raman spectroscopy over using a standard glass fiber. The narrow Raman peaks and the low background signal of a single-crystal sapphire fiber allow for the detection of weaker Raman signals or Raman signals much closer to the incident laser wavelength than with a standard glass fiber, which has a strong broadband Raman spectrum of its own. The Raman spectra of calcite, single-walled carbon nanotubes, and aqueous sodium carbonate solution were collected using a 50 cm long, 200 μm diameter sapphire fiber, and then they were compared with the results using a 50 cm long, 100 μm diameter glass fiber. The Raman spectrum of each tested material becomes indistinguishable due to the background Raman signal of the glass fiber but can easily be seen using the sapphire fiber, which has only a few narrow Raman peaks of its own.  相似文献
