The Valparaiso region in Chile was decreed a zone affected by catastrophe in 2019 as a consequence of one of the driest seasons of the last 50 years. In this study, three varieties (‘Alfa-INIA’, ‘California-INIA’, and one landrace, ‘Local Navidad’) of kabuli-type chickpea seeds produced in 2018 (control) and 2019 (climate-related catastrophe, hereafter named water stress) were evaluated for their grain yield. Furthermore, the flavonoid profile of both free and esterified phenolic extracts was determined using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, and the concentration of the main flavonoid, biochanin A, was determined using liquid chromatography with diode array detection. The grain yield was decreased by up to 25 times in 2019. The concentration of biochanin A was up to 3.2 times higher in samples from the second season (water stress). This study demonstrates that water stress induces biosynthesis of biochanin A. However, positive changes in the biochanin A concentration are overshadowed by negative changes in the grain yield. Therefore, water stress, which may be worsened by climate change in the upcoming years, may jeopardize both the production of chickpeas and the supply of biochanin A, a bioactive compound that can be used to produce dietary supplements and/or nutraceuticals.  相似文献

An electrochemical method for discriminating healthy and malignant tissues in prostate biopsies using the voltammetry of immobilized particles methodology is described. The method involves the sampling with graphite bars 0.5 mm in diameter on paraffin-impregnated cross sections of prostate tissues used in ordinary cytological evaluation after local staining with methylene blue (MB). The subsequent record of the voltammetric response of sample-modified graphite electrodes displays clearly different MB-centered features for healthy and malignant regions due to the different association of the dye to the respective cells.

The phosphoresence spectrum and lifetime of xanthone embedded in an n-hexane matrix has been investigated as a function of temperature (1·6-100 K). Vibrational analyses of the spectra reveal that emission occurs from three sites, two of which are dominant. Emission from one site (B) occurs from the 3 nπ* state of a planar xanthone molecule and is characterized by strong totally symmetric carbonyl stretching vibrations and a short lifetime (2·4 ms). Emission from the other site (C) is shown to arise from the 3ππ* state of an out-of-plane distorted xanthone molecule. It displays a vibrational structure rich in modes of a 1, b 1, and b 2 (C 2v notation) symmetry and a long lifetime (115 ms). Both direct spin orbit coupling via configurational mixing of the nπ* and ππ* states due to the non-planarity of the molecule in its 3ππ* state and spin-orbit vibronic interaction involving 3 A 1(ππ*)-1 A 2(nπ*) spin-orbit and 1 A 2(nπ*)-1 B 2(ππ*) vibronic interaction via out-of-plane b 1 vibrations are shown to be responsible for the C site emission intensity. Vibronic mixing between the 3ππ* and 3 nπ* states is not important. With increasing temperature, the phosphorescence intensity from the B site (3 nπ*) emitters increases at first, reaches a maximum at ~20 K and then decreases. The C site (3ππ*) intensity simply decreases with rising temperature. At a given temperature, the phosphorescence lifetimes are identical and exponential for all emission bands regardless of site origin. These observations indicate an equilibrium between emitters in the two sites throughout the lattice. A phonon-assisted energy transfer mechanism is proposed to account for these observations.  相似文献

We propose a general simple equation for accurately predicting the retention factors of ionizable compounds upon simultaneous changes in mobile phase pH and column temperature at a given hydroorganic solvent composition. Only four independent experiments provide the input data: retention factors measured in two pH buffered mobile phases at extreme acidic and basic pH values (e. g., at least +/- 2 pH units far from the analyte pK(a)) and at two column temperatures. The equations, derived from the basic thermodynamics of the acid-base equilibria, additionally require the knowledge of the solute pK(a )and enthalpies of acid-base dissociation of both the solute and the buffer components in the hydroorganic solvent mixture. The performance of the predictive model is corroborated with the comparison between theoretical and experimental retention factors of several weak acids and bases of important pharmacological activity, in mobile phases containing different buffer solutions prepared in 25% w/w ACN in water and at several temperatures.  相似文献

We have recently described the synthesis of two porphyrogenic macrocycles: 20-phenyl-2,13-dimethyl-3,7,8,12-tetraethyl-[24]iso-pentaphyrin (1) and 20-phenyl-2,13-dimethyl-3,7,8,12-tetraethyl-[22]pentaphyrin (2) (J. Med. Chem.2006, 49, 196-204). We found that the structure of iso-pentaphyrin is influenced by the acidity of the medium. By adjusting the TFA concentration, we solved two isomers of iso-pentaphyrin: 1 and 1A. At high TFA concentration iso-pentaphyrin is present only as 1, which is slowly oxidized into the aromatic macrocycle 2 upon exposure to air. The correlation between acidic conditions, isomer structures, and oxidation is discussed.  相似文献

Copper (II) acetylacetonate was immobilised directly onto two clays, laponite (Lap) and K10-montmorillonite (K10), and after their amine functionalisation with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES). All the materials were characterised by nitrogen adsorption isotherms at -196 degrees C, elemental analysis, TG-DSC, XRD, and IR spectroscopy. The K10-based materials were also characterised by XPS. The APTES-functionalised K10 showed higher copper loading than K10, indicating that the clay functionalisation enhanced the complex immobilisation; on the contrary, in Lap-based materials higher metal content was obtained by direct complex anchoring, probably due to the delaminated nature of Lap which induced the particles aggregation on functionalisation with APTES. All the results pointed out that the Cu complex was anchored onto the amine-functionalised clays by Schiff condensation between the amine groups of anchored APTES and the carbonyl groups of the acetylacetonate ligand, whereas direct immobilisation proceeded mostly through interaction between the metal centre and the clay surface hydroxyl groups.  相似文献

New bis‐ and tris(iminopyrrole)‐functionalized linear (1,2‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 2 ), 1,3‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 3 ), 1,4‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐C6H4 ( 4 ), 4,4′‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N)2‐(C6H4‐C6H4) ( 5 ), 1,5‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 6 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C10H6 ( 7 ), 2,6‐(HNC4H3C‐(H)?N)2‐C14H8 ( 8 )) and star‐shaped (1,3,5‐(HNC4H3‐C(H)?N‐1,4‐C6H4)3‐C6H3 ( 9 )) π‐conjugated molecules were synthesized by the condensation reactions of 2‐formylpyrrole ( 1 ) with several aromatic di‐ and triamines. The corresponding linear diboron chelate complexes (Ph2B[1,3‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 10 ), Ph2B[1,4‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐phenyl]BPh2 ( 11 ), Ph2B[4,4′‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐biphenyl]BPh2 ( 12 ), Ph2B[1,5‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 13 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐naphthyl]BPh2 ( 14 ), Ph2B[2,6‐bis(iminopyrrolyl)‐anthracenyl]BPh2 ( 15 )) and the star‐shaped triboron complex ([4′,4′′,4′′′‐tris(iminopyrrolyl)‐1,3,5‐triphenylbenzene](BPh2)3 ( 16 )) were obtained in moderate to good yields, by the treatment of 3 – 9 with B(C6H5)3. The ligand precursors are non‐emissive, whereas most of their boron complexes are highly fluorescent; their emission color depends on the π‐conjugation length. The photophysical properties of the luminescent polyboron compounds were measured, showing good solution fluorescence quantum yields ranging from 0.15 to 0.69. DFT and time‐dependent DFT calculations confirmed that molecules 10 and 16 are blue emitters, because only one of the iminopyrrolyl groups becomes planar in the singlet excited state, whereas the second (and third) keeps the same geometry. Compound 13 , in which planarity is not achieved in any of the groups, is poorly emissive. In the other examples ( 11 , 12 , 14 , and 15 ), the LUMO is stabilized, narrowing the gap between the highest occupied molecular orbital and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (HOMO–LUMO), and the two iminopyrrolyl groups become planar, extending the size of the π‐system, to afford green to yellow emissions. Organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) were fabricated by using the new polyboron complexes and their luminance was found to be in the order of 2400 cd m?2, for single layer devices, increasing to 4400 cd m?2 when a hole‐transporting layer is used.  相似文献
