Reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase

The reduction of 4-nitrophenol catalyzed by nitroreductase in the presence of NADH was investigated in this paper.4-Amino- phenol and 4-bydroxylamino-phenol were found in the reductive products.The relationship between reaction time and the reductive ratio were studied.The similar reducing ratios of 4-nitrophenol were obtained under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.The results indicated that an oxygen-insensitive reaction was proceeded in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol and nitroreductase was an oxygen- insensitive enzyme.The reductive products of 4-nitrophenol were determined by HPLC and MS.     

Preparation and characterization O-lauroyl chitosan/poly (L-lactic acid) blend membranes by solution-casting approach

O-Lauroyl chitosan/poly(L-lactide) (OCS/PLLA) blend membranes with different compositions were prepared by solution-casting approach using chloroform as common solvent. The experimental results of FT-IR, DSC and WAXD indicated that inter-association hydrogen-bond interactions existed between OCS and PLLA in the blend membranes. And SEM observation confirmed that the blend membranes with suitable compositions were compatible.     

SYNTHESIS AND MESOMORPHIC PROPERTIES OF FISHBONE-LIKE LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYSILSESQUIOXANES——Ⅰ. FISHBONE-LIKE, β-DIKETONE-BASED LIQUID CRYSTALLINE POLYSILSESQUIOXANES AND THEIR COPPER COMPLEXES*

Two kinds of fishbone-like, β-diketone-based liquid crystalline polysilsesquioxanes(FBDKLCP'S), homopolymeric (H-FBDKLCP) and copolymeric (C-FBDKaLCP) have been first synthesized via the hydrosilylation reaction of a vinyl-terminated β-diketone with the homopolymeric ladderlike polyhydrosilsesquioxane (LPHSQ) and random copolymethylhydrosilsesquioxane (LRPMHSQ) respectively. These new kinds of FBDKLCP with M of 10~4 is thermotroic liquid crystalline polymer and its clearing temperatures T_i's and mesophase range △T's are much higher than those of the corresponding comb-like β-diketone liquid crystalline polysiloxane (DKLCP) by about 200℃. Similar results have been observed with the comparison of the two different structure Cu-coordinating compounds The significant increases in T_((?))'s and △T's of the FBDKLCP and Cu-FBDKLCP are mainly attributed to the great rigidity of the ladderlike polysilsesquioxane backbone.     

Baker''''s yeast mediated reduction of substituted acenaphthenequinones: Regio-and enantioselective preparation of mono-hydroxyacenaphthenones

Baker's yeast mediated reduction of acenaphthenequinone within 4-10 h afforded mono-hydroxyacenaphthenone mainly with low enantioselectivity, the substrate and mono-hydroxyacenaphthenone product almost converted to dihydroxyacenaphthene after 48 h. By control of the reaction time and in the presence of DMF as co-solvent, the reduction of 6-substituted acenaphthenequinones under vigorous agitation afforded the corresponding 2-hydroxyacenaphthenones in 24-84% yields with 10-93% ee.     

Influences of Triton X-100 on Hemoglobin Behaviors in Hemoglobin/Acyclovir/Triton X-100/H2O System

The influences of Triton X-100 on hemoglobin （Hb） behaviors were studied by the methods of UV-Vis spectrum, fluorescence spectrum, HPLC, conductivity, zeta potential and negative-staining transmission electron microscope in Hb/acyclovir/Triton X-100/H2O system. With the increase of Triton X-100 concentration in the system, the percentage of the free acyclovir increased from 58%--63% to 90%--94%. The static quenching constant and the association number of acyclovir to Hb decreased. The fluorescence spectrum, conductivity, zeta potential, fluorescence polarization and negative-staining morphology of Hb tended to recover to those of the original state of Hb in the same concentration of Hb. The interaction between Triton X-100 and Hb is stronger than that between acyclovir and Hb. Most Triton-X-100 was associated with Hb at low Triton X-100 concentration. But the interaction of Triton X-100 with Hb was apparently dominant in high Triton X-100 concentration. The Hb structure was unfolded and finally denatured.

采用水辅助方法(water-assisted fabrication method),分别以4-十二烷基苯磺酸掺杂的聚苯胺(PANI-DBSA)和聚2-甲氧基-5-(2′-乙烯基-己氧基)苯乙炔(MEH-PPV)两种功能高聚物为成膜材料,冷凝水滴为模板,利用水滴在聚合物溶液表面的自组装,制备出了两种纳米层次以上的蜂窝状有序多孔聚合物薄膜.通过原子力显微镜和共聚焦荧光显微镜对其形貌、电学性质和荧光图像进行了表征.     

Interactions of hemoglobin with lecithin liposomes

In this paper, the interaction of hemoglobin (Hb) with lecithin liposomes is studied by UV-vis spectroscopy, fluorescent spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The adsorption of Hb on liposomes is likely to be related to the hydrophobic interaction between Hb and liposomes, which brings about the increase of the microenvironmental polarity (I ₁/I ₃) and the decrease of the fluorescence polarization (P) of lecithin liposomes. These results are considered to be that the adsorption of Hb on liposomes makes the spaces between the lecithin molecules increase, and a temporary gap is consequently formed in the liposomal bilayer membranes. The leakage of aqueous-space marker from the liposomes is increased with the addition of Hb.     

Synthesis of new trans double-bond sphingolipid analogues: Delta(4,6) and Delta(6) ceramides

Unsaturation was introduced at Delta(4,6) and Delta(6) of the sphingoid chain of naturally occurring ceramide 1 via a beta-keto sulfoxide (12) and sulfone (18) derived from N-Boc-L-serine methyl ester acetonide (9), affording two novel ceramide analogues, (2S,3R)-2-octanoylamidooctadeca-(4E,6E)-diene-1,3-diol (2) and (2S,3R)-2-octanoylamidooctadec-(6E)-ene-1,3-diol (3). After C-alkylation of 12 with (E)-1-bromo-2-tetradecene (8), a trans double bond was installed by elimination of PhS(O)H, providing conjugated dienone oxazolidine 13. Reaction of 18 with 8, followed by desulfonation (Al(Hg)), afforded keto-oxazolidine 20, which bears a (E)-Delta(6) double bond. The syntheses of analogues 2 and 3 from ketones 13 and 20, respectively, were completed by the following sequence of reactions: diastereoselective reduction (NaBH(4)/CeCl(3) or DIBAL-H), hydrolysis of the oxazolidine ring, liberation of the amino group, and installation of the N-amide group.     

Composite Electrode SnO2／TiO2 for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

Composite nanoporous electrode SnO2/TiO2 was fabricated for the dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with N3 (Cis-Ru). After introducing of TiO2, the open-circuit photovoltage (Voc) was higher than that of the pure SnO2 electrode, while short-circuit photocurrent (Isc) was varied with the ratio of the TiO2. Appropriate content of the TiO2 can be beneficial to the efficiency of the solar cell, and it gives negative impact on the composite electrode when the content of TiO2 is higher.
