We consider the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid in a pipe when the boundary is a deformable shell of Naghdi type. We prove that the corresponding system of partial differential equations has a solution when the deformation of the shell is smooth and small enough. In stochastic programming models we always face the problem of how to represent the random variables. This is particularly difficult with multidimensional distributions. We present an algorithm that produces a discrete joint distribution consistent with specified values of the first four marginal moments and correlations. The joint distribution is constructed by decomposing the multivariate problem into univariate ones, and using an iterative procedure that combines simulation, Cholesky decomposition and various transformations to achieve the correct correlations without changing the marginal moments.With the algorithm, we can generate 1000 one-period scenarios for 12 random variables in 16 seconds, and for 20 random variables in 48 seconds, on a Pentium III machine. 相似文献

A comprehensive study of the excited electronic states of HCl is reported. Using resonance enhanced multiphoton ionization ((2 + 1) REMPI) and time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOFMS) over 120 band systems are analyzed. Supersonic jet techniques are used to prepare rotationally cold species for laser spectroscopy in the 77 000 to 96 000 cm−1 region. At least 50 new electronic states are characterized as well as several features only tentatively assigned previously. A long vibrational progression consisting of 29 vibrational levels of the deeply bound V1Σ+(0+) valence/ion-pair state is studied. We also extend the identification and analysis to high vibrational levels of low-lying Rydberg states. The assignments of [2Πi] Rydberg state complexes are evaluated in terms of spin-orbit coupling and united-atom calculations. In several band systems, the spectra exhibit anomalous rotational line intensities and broadened linewidths which are consistent with predissociation. Multiphoton ionization with mass spectrometry permits the investigation of isotope effects as well as the appearance of fragment species associated with repulsive potential curves. 相似文献

FEMTO, a femtosecond (fs) X-ray source based on laser interaction with a relativistic electron beam, began operation in the fall of 2006. It is installed at the μXAS beamline of the Swiss Light Source (SLS) at the Paul Scherrer Institut, Villigen. “Laser slicing” of an electron beam has first been proposed and demonstrated at the ALS [] and has recently been implemented at BESSY [2] to generate fs soft X-rays (1–2 keV) with variable polarization. Allergic, dietary, chemical, biochemical, stress, and hormonal abnormalities have long been recognized as important factors in both abnormalities of the voice and in the general health of the professional vocalist. In recent years objective methods have become available to evaluate and treat allergic, dietary, and chemical abnormalities and to better understand the effects of stress and hormonal variations. Assessment of allergic disease is efficient and cost effective through the use of in vitro testing techniques combined with skin end point titration. This provides highly specific and objective results and leads to accurate planning of desensitization treatment. This form of treatment can be especially beneficial in the prevention of recurrent laryngitis. An accurate nutritional history provides evidence of food sensitivities that can lead to cyclical allergic-like vocal symptoms that can be prevented with the use of elimination diets and the judicious use of desensitization therapy. An adequate knowledge of the potential effects of chemical sensitivities will assist the patient in the avoidance of provocative chemical exposures. An in depth evaluation of biochemical abnormalities and a specific assessment of the nutritional status must be considered to evaluate the underlying causes of long-standing general health problems that can affect the voice. Likewise, hormonal variations are not only important in their direct effects on the vocal mechanism but in their cyclical effects on the patient's basic biochemical balance. Lastly, stress, which has long been related to problems in professional performance, is only now being fully studied to determine its actual biologic influences and these must be related to the causes of voice disturbances. Understanding all these influences and planning a rational and efficient evaluation of these potential problem areas are imperative in the complete care of the patient with voice abnormalities. 相似文献

Magnetic and structural investigations on substituted Pr2Co17-xTx systems (T= Fe, Mn, Cr, Cu and Al)

Magnetic and structural characteristics of Pr2Co17-based ternaries, in which Co is partly replaced by other transition elements, namely Fe, Mn, Cr, Cu and Al, have been investigated. The objective of the work was to explore the possibility of enhancing the anisotropy of Pr2Co17 to the point that it would be useful for permanent magnet fabrication. X-ray diffraction indicates that all the systems studied occur in the rhombohedral Th2Zn17 structure. The cell constants increase as Fe, Mn, etc., are introduced in the system, which indicates that substitution occurs in the Co sublattice. The Curie temperatures, Tc, decrease monotonically with increasing x in the order Fe < Cu < Mn < Al < Cr. The saturation magnetization, Ms, increases with increasing x for the Fe system with x 8. For x #62; 8 in the Pr2Co17-xFex system and in all other ternary systems st died, Ms decreases with x, the magnitude of the effect being in the order Cr #62; Al #62; Mn #62; Cu. The rate of decrease is larger than that expected as a simple dilution except for the systems containing Cu. Significant modification of the anisotropy characteristics of Pr2Co17 is observed upon substitution. The planar anisotropy of Pr2Co17 becomes uniaxial with Fe (x 4) and Mn (x 2) substitutions. With Cr and Al substitutions, the plane-seeking tendency of Pr2Co17 is significantly weakened. 相似文献

The SOLEIL synchrotron radiation source is regularly operated in special filling modes dedicated to pump–probe experiments. Among others, the low‐α mode operation is characterized by shorter pulse duration and represents the natural bridge between 50 ps synchrotron pulses and femtosecond experiments. Here, the capabilities in low‐α mode of the experimental set‐ups developed at the TEMPO beamline to perform pump–probe experiments with soft X‐rays based on photoelectron or photon detection are presented. A 282 kHz repetition‐rate femtosecond laser is synchronized with the synchrotron radiation time structure to induce fast electronic and/or magnetic excitations. Detection is performed using a two‐dimensional space resolution plus time resolution detector based on microchannel plates equipped with a delay line. Results of time‐resolved photoelectron spectroscopy, circular dichroism and magnetic scattering experiments are reported, and their respective advantages and limitations in the framework of high‐time‐resolution pump–probe experiments compared and discussed. 相似文献
