The strain-rate-dependent behavior of a toughened matrix composite (IM7/8552) was characterized under quasi-static and dynamic loading conditions. Unidirectional and off-axis composite specimens were tested at strain rates ranging from 10?4 to 103 s?1 using a servo-hydraulic testing machine and split Hopkinson pressure bar apparatus. The nonlinear response and failure were analyzed and evaluated based on classical failure criteria and the Northwestern (NU) failure theory. The predictive NU theory was shown to be in excellent agreement with experimental results and to accurately predict the strain-rate-dependent failure of the composite system based on measured average lamina properties. 相似文献

Vapor pressure osmometry was applied to the systems calcium l-aspartate ((S)-aminobutanedioic acid calcium salt)?+?water for varying molalities of Ca–l-Asp (mCa–l-Asp?=?0.01–1.02 mol·kg?1) and guanidinium hydrochloride (methanamidine hydrochloride)?+?sodium L–aspartate ((S)–aminobutanedioic acid sodium salt)?+?water, varying the molalities of GndmCl and Na–l-Asp (mNa–l-Asp?=?0.1, 0.25, 0.4, 0.57 mol·kg?1 and mGndmCl?=?0.1–1.1 mol·kg?1) at T?=?298.15 K and 310.15 K. From vapor pressure osmometry, activities of water, and the corresponding osmotic coefficients of the mixtures Ca–l-Asp?+?water and Na–l-Asp?+?GndmCl?+?water have been calculated, both being directly related to the chemical potentials of the different species and therefore to their Gibbs energy. Mean molal ion activity coefficients were obtained from experimental data fits with the Pitzer equations and the corresponding dual and triple interaction parameters were derived for the Ca–l-Asp?+?water binary system. β(2) Pitzer parameters different from zero are required for Ca–l-Asp in water to reproduce the osmotic coefficient decrease with increasing concentration. Mean Spherical Approximation parameters accounting for Coulomb and short range interactions that describe the calcium and magnesium aspartates and glutamates are given. The decrease in the chemical potential of the aspartates corresponds to the Hofmeister series: NaAsp?>?Mg(Asp)2?>?CaAsp. A strong interaction between amino acid and salt due to specific dispersion interactions in amino acid salt systems containing guanidinium based salt has been revealed that is in agreement with MD and half-empirical quantum-chemical calculations. 相似文献

Two new cryptic 3,4-dihydronaphthalen-(2H)-1-one (1-tetralone) derivatives, aspvanicin A (1) and its epimer aspvanicin B (2), as well as several known cryptic metabolites (3–8), were obtained from the ethyl acetate extract of the co-culture of the endophytic fungus Aspergillus versicolor KU258497 with the bacterium Bacillus subtilis 168 trpC2 on solid rice medium. When A. versicolor was cultured axenically in liquid Wickerham medium supplemented with 3.5% DMSO, an additional three known secondary metabolites (9–11) were isolated that were lacking when the fungus was fermented on rice medium. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated using one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy as well as HRESIMS. The relative and absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were determined by the combination of NMR and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) analysis aided by DFT conformational analysis and TDDFT-ECD calculations. The ECD calculations revealed that although the sign of the blue-shifted overlapping n-π1 ECD transition follows the helicity rule of cyclic aryl ketones, the calculation of low-energy conformers and ECD spectra was necessary to determine the stereochemistry. All metabolites were assessed for their antibacterial and cytotoxic activities; one of the new diastereomers, compound 2, showed moderate cytotoxic activity against the mouse lymphoma cell line L5178Y. 相似文献

The generation of reactive singlet oxygen under mild conditions is of current interest in chemistry, biology, and medicine. We were able to release oxygen from dipyridylanthracene endoperoxides (EPOs) by using a simple chemical trigger at low temperature. Protonation and methylation of such EPOs strongly accelerated these reactions. Furthermore, the methyl pyridinium derivatives are water soluble and therefore serve as oxygen carriers in aqueous media. Methylation of the EPO of the ortho isomer affords the parent form directly without increasing the temperature under very mild conditions. This exceptional behavior is ascribed to the close contact between the nitrogen atom and the peroxo group. Singlet oxygen is released upon this reaction, and can be used to oxygenate an acceptor such as tetramethylethylene in the dark with no heating. Thus, a new chemical source of singlet oxygen has been found, which is triggered by a simple stimulus. 相似文献

We present an in situ triple coupling of synchrotron X‐ray diffraction with Raman spectroscopy, and thermography to study milling reactions in real time. This combination of methods allows a correlation of the structural evolution with temperature information. The temperature information is crucial for understanding both the thermodynamics and reaction kinetics. The reaction mechanisms of three prototypical mechanochemical syntheses, a cocrystal formation, a C?C bond formation (Knoevenagel condensation), and the formation of a manganese‐phosphonate, were elucidated. Trends in the temperature development during milling are identified. The heat of reaction and latent heat of crystallization of the product contribute to the overall temperature increase. A decrease in temperature occurs via release of, for example, water as a by‐product. Solid and liquid intermediates are detected. The influence of the mechanical impact could be separated from temperature effects caused by the reaction. 相似文献
