The ability of activated carbon to adsorb three acidic dyes, namely, Acid Blue 80 (AB80), Acid Red 114 (AR114), and Acid Yellow (AY117), from wastewater has been studied at 20 degrees C. The three single-component systems and the three binary equilibrium systems have been measured experimentally. The three single-component isotherms were analyzed using the Langmuir, Freundlich, Redlich-Peterson, and Sips equations. The Redlich-Peterson equation gave the lowest errors using the sum of the squares of the errors closely followed by the Sips and Langmuir equations; the Freundlich fits were significantly worse. The three bisolute experimental equilibrium sets of data were analyzed by incorporating the previous four single-component isotherm equations into the ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST). The solution methods for each of the four isotherm equations are presented in the paper, and the predicted results for the three bisolute systems, using the four isotherm equations, are compared. For the three bisolute systems (AB80 + AR114, AB80 + AY117, and AR114 + AY117), the Redlich-Peterson isotherm gives the best correlation with the experimental isotherm data.  相似文献

In this work, polyester polyols with high weight average molecular weight (Mw) (Mw?10000–15000) were prepared from epoxidized palm olein (EPOo) and a series of dicarboxylic acids (C6–C12) at elevated temperature under non‐catalyzed condition. The optimal reaction conditions were determined as 180°C for 4 h. Longer carbon chain length of dicarboxylic acids was more reactive when reacted with EPOo. The physical appearance of the product was observed as liquid at room temperature. This palm oil‐based polyester polyol is proposed as starting material for flexible polyurethane. For reaction monitoring purposes, FTIR was used while 1H NMR analysis was carried out to characterize the important functional groups of the products. The effects of reaction time and temperature on the Mw of the reaction mixture were also studied by GPC.  相似文献

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are biocompatible materials which can be used as drug‐delivery nanovehicles. In order to define the optimum size of LDH nanoparticles for efficient cellular uptake and drug‐delivery pathway, we prepared different sized LDH nanoparticles with narrow size distribution by modulating the crystal growth rate, and labelled each LDH particle with a fluorophore using a silane coupling reaction. The cellular uptake rate of LDHs was found to be highly dependent on particle size (50>200≥100>350 nm), whose range of 50 to 200 nm was selectively internalized into cells through clathrin‐mediated endocytosis with enhanced permeability and retention. Our study clearly shows that not only the particle size plays an important role in the endocytic pathway and processing, but also the size control of LDH nanoparticles results in their targeted uptake to site‐specific clathrin‐mediated endocytosis. This result provides a new perspective for the design of LDH nanoparticles with maximum ability towards targeted drug delivery.  相似文献

Lead-free piezoelectric 0.90(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3-0.05(Bi1/2K1/2)TiO3-0.05BaTiO3 ceramics(abbreviated as BNKBT-5) rings were fabricated using a conventional mixed oxide method. The ceramics have a piezoelectric constant d33=168 pC/N, electromechanical coupling factors kp=0.313 and kt=0.487. The BNKBT lead-free ceramic rings were used as the transduction elements in a compressive type accelerometer and its performance compared with a lead zirconate titanate (PZT) APC 840 ceramic accelerometer with similar structure. The lead-free accelerometer shows good performance and has a broader frequency response compared to the lead-based PZT accelerometer. PACS 77.22.Ej; 77.84.-s; 85.50.-n  相似文献

Abstract

Quasi-convex optimization is fundamental to the modelling of many practical problems in various fields such as economics, finance and industrial organization. Subgradient methods are practical iterative algorithms for solving large-scale quasi-convex optimization problems. In the present paper, focusing on quasi-convex optimization, we develop an abstract convergence theorem for a class of sequences, which satisfy a general basic inequality, under some suitable assumptions on parameters. The convergence properties in both function values and distances of iterates from the optimal solution set are discussed. The abstract convergence theorem covers relevant results of many types of subgradient methods studied in the literature, for either convex or quasi-convex optimization. Furthermore, we propose a new subgradient method, in which a perturbation of the successive direction is employed at each iteration. As an application of the abstract convergence theorem, we obtain the convergence results of the proposed subgradient method under the assumption of the Hölder condition of order p and by using the constant, diminishing or dynamic stepsize rules, respectively. A preliminary numerical study shows that the proposed method outperforms the standard, stochastic and primal-dual subgradient methods in solving the Cobb–Douglas production efficiency problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the notions of (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy subnear-ring, (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy ideal and (∈, ∈∨q)-fuzzy quasi-ideal of near-rings and find more generalized concepts than those introduced by others. The characterization of such (∈, ∈ ∨q)-fuzzy ideals are also obtained.  相似文献

We have synthesized heterostructured zinc oxide-aluminosilicate nanohybrids through a hydrothermal reaction between the colloidal suspension of exfoliated montmorillonite nanosheets and the sol solution of zinc acetate. According to X-ray diffraction, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm, and field emission-scanning electron microscopic analyses, it was found that the intercalation of zinc oxide nanoparticles expands the basal spacing of the host montmorillonite clay, and the crystallites of the nanohybrids are assembled to form a house-of-cards structure. From UV-vis spectroscopic investigation, it becomes certain that calcined nanohybrid contains two kinds of the zinc oxide species in the interlayer space of host lattice and in mesopores formed by the house-of-cards type stacking of the crystallites. Zn K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure/extended X-ray absorption fine structure analyses clearly demonstrate that guest species in the nanohybrids exist as nanocrystalline zinc oxides with wurzite-type structure.  相似文献

The isotropy or anisotropy in some physical properties of the ammorphous poly(ethyleneterephthalate) films uniaxially drawn at temperatures above its T_g and then quenched toroom temperature have been studied. Experimental results here presented show that thisamorphous state of high global chain orientation but nearly random segmental orientation,the GOLR state, is nearly isotropic in refractive indices and Young's modulus for smalldeformation, while it is very probably anisotropic in thermal conduction and microwavedielectric properties.  相似文献
