We have reported herein the synthesis of three new Cu(II) complexes of tri- and tetradentate Schiff base ligands containing
N3 or N4 donor set along with terminal NNN− or SCN− ligands: [L1Cu(NCS)]ClO4 (1), [L2Cu(NCS)2] (2) and [L3Cu(NNN)]ClO4 (3) [L1 = NC5H4C(CH3)=N(CH2)3N=C(CH3)C5H4N, L2= Me2N–(CH2)3–N=C(CH3)C5H4N and L3 = NC5H4CH=N–(CH2)4–N=CHC5H4N]. The complexes have been systematically characterised by elemental, spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques. Antimicrobial
activities of the Schiff base ligands and their metal complexes have been studied using the disc diffusion method on the strains
of Candida tropicalis and Bacillus megaterium. Structures of all the complexes have been unequivocally established from single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses that
show the monomeric units containing a five-coordinated copper center in highly distorted square pyramidal geometry with thiocyanate

In the present study, the recyclability of the post-use milk pouches (50/50 LDPE–LLDPE blend) was evaluated with or without adding stabilizer. Thoroughly washed and dried post-use milk pouch films were extruded five times at high temperature (483–513 K) in the open atmosphere. The mode of degradation during extrusion operation was studied by melt flow index (MFI), rheological properties, gel content and FT-IR analysis. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis was carried out to evaluate the thermal stability of the stabilized and un-stabilized recycled mass from post-use milk pouch under this investigation. Mechanical properties (tensile strength, % elongation at break, tensile modulus and hardness) of the un-stabilized extruded material were significantly affected as a result of thermooxidative degradation during extrusion in presence of air. After all, stabilization with 0.4% anti-oxidant satisfactorily retains all the initial properties of the recycled material. 相似文献

This paper presents a study of the permeation of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) chains through the nanoporous wall of hollow polymeric capsules prepared by self-assembly of polyelectrolytes. We employ the method of pulsed field gradient (PFG) NMR diffusion to distinguish chains in different sites, i.e., in the capsule interior and free chains in the dispersion, by their respective diffusion coefficient. From a variation of the observation time, the time scale of the molecular exchange between both sites and thus the permeation rate constant is extracted from a two-site exchange model. Permeation rate constants show two different regimes with a different dependence on chain length. This suggests a transition between two different mechanisms of permeation as the molecular weight is increased. In either regime, the permeation time can be described by a scaling law tau approximately N (b) , with b = (4)/ 3 for short chains and b = (1)/ 3 for long chains. We discuss these exponents, which clearly differ from the theoretical predictions for chain translocation. 相似文献

The scaled factorial moments and the multifractal moments have been investigated in different??-intervals to study the dynamical fluctuation of pions produced in 200 AGeV32S-Ag/Br interaction. The structure of (K1–x(NH4)x)3H(SO4)2 crystals with a low ammonium concentration and the behavior of their thermal, optical, and dielectric properties in a temperature range of 275–500 K have been investigated to clarify the influence of doping on the phase transition kinetics. An examination of unit-cell parameters of (K1 – x(NH4)x)3H(SO4)2 single crystals has confirmed the existence of a superprotonic phase transition at a temperature of ≈450K. Optical and static dielectric studies on a terminally fluorinated liquid crystalline compound have been carried out. Measurements of temperature variation of refractive indices of the compound are done by using thin prism method. A four-parameter model is validated by fitting the experimentally measured values of refractive indices, birefringence and average refractive indices of the compound with the theoretical ones. Refractive index and density data are utilized for determination of orientational order parameter.
