We study 10D super Yang–Mills theory with the gauge groups E 6, E 7 and E 8. We consider the torus/orbifold compactification with magnetic fluxes and Wilson lines. Design and scaling of the NEMory cell have been discussed. Based on analytical simulation using a simple parallel-plate approximation, scaling guideline is derived in terms of pull-in, release voltage, pull-in time and release time. It has been proved that beam length is the most dominant factor which increases operating voltage with scaling-down. Beam and air gap thickness also need to be scaled down in order to lower operating voltage while improving operating speed.  相似文献

We develop a structure theory for decoherence-free subspaces and noiseless subsystems that applies to arbitrary (not necessarily unital) quantum operations. The theory can be alternatively phrased in terms of the superoperator perspective, or the algebraic noise commutant formalism. As an application, we propose a method for finding all such subspaces and subsystems for arbitrary quantum operations. We suggest that this work brings the fundamental passive technique for error correction in quantum computing an important step closer to practical realization.  相似文献

Optimal detection of a pathogen present in biological samples depends on the ability to extract DNA molecules rapidly and efficiently. In this paper, we report a novel method for efficient DNA extraction and subsequent real-time detection in a single microchip by combining laser irradiation and magnetic beads. By using a 808 nm laser and carboxyl-terminated magnetic beads, we demonstrate that a single pulse of 40 seconds lysed pathogens including E. coli and Gram-positive bacterial cells as well as the hepatitis B virus mixed with human serum. We further demonstrate that the real-time pathogen detection was performed with pre-mixed PCR reagents in a real-time PCR machine using the same microchip, after laser irradiation in a hand-held device equipped with a small laser diode. These results suggest that the new sample preparation method is well suited to be integrated into lab-on-a-chip application of the pathogen detection system.  相似文献

SC-560, a structural analogue of celecoxib, induces growth inhibition in a wide range of human cancer cells in a cyclooxygenase (COX)-independent manner. Since SC-560 suppresses the growth of cancer cells mainly by inducing cell cycle arrest, we sought to examine the role of p21CIP1, a cell cycle regulator protein, in the cellular response against SC-560 by using p21(+/+) and p21(-/-) isogenic HCT116 colon carcinoma cells. In HCT116 (p21(+/+)) cells, SC-560 dose-dependently induced growth inhibition and cell cycle arrest at the G1 phase without significant apoptosis induction. SC-560-induced cell cycle arrest was accompanied by upregulation of p21CIP1. However, the extent of SC-560-induced accumulation at the G1 phase was approximately equal in the p21(+/+) and the p21(-/-) cells. Nonetheless, the growth inhibition by SC-560 was increased in p21(-/-) cells than p21(+/+)cells. SC-560-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation did not differ between p21(+/+) and p21(-/-) cells but the subsequent activation of apoptotic caspase cascade was more pronounced in p21(-/-) cells compared with p21(+/+) cells. These results suggest that p21CIP1 blocks the SC-560-induced apoptotic response of HCT116 cells. SC-560 combined with other therapy that can block p21 CIP1 expression or function may contribute to the effective treatment of colon cancer.  相似文献

In a murine model of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)-like chronic graft-versus-host disease (cGVHD), donor CD8+ T cells rapidly fall into anergy to host cells, while donor CD4+ T cells hyperactivate B cells and break B-cell tolerance to self-Ags in the recipient mouse. The functional recovery of donor CD8+ T cells can result in the conversion of cGVHD to acute GVHD (aGVHD), indicating that donor CD8+ T-cell anergy is a restriction factor in the development of cGVHD. In this report, we present evidence that donor CD4+CD25+ regulatory T cells (Treg cells) are critical in maintaining the donor CD8+ T-cell anergy and thus suppressing the development of aGVHD in mice that are naturally prone to cGVHD. Our results provide a novel insight into the role of Treg cells in determining cGVHD versus aGVHD.  相似文献

Hierarchical MFI zeolite was synthesized following a synthesis route using organic-inorganic hybrid surfactants; the resultant zeolite with mesoporous/microporous hierarchical structure exhibited remarkably high resistance to deactivation in catalytic activity of various reactions such as isomerization of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, cumene cracking, and esterification of benzyl alcohol with hexanoic acid, as compared with conventional MFI and mesoporous aluminosilicate MCM-41.  相似文献
