Spontaneously appearing macroscopic polarization (self‐polarization) in ferroelectrics without an electrode or an external electric field would enable the freedom to design many ferroelectric heterostructures and devices. The (K0.5Na0.5)(Mn0.005Nb0.995)O3 (KNMN) thin film was grown on Nb:SrTiO3 single‐crystal substrate and the resultant self‐polarization behavior due to strain relaxation was investigated. The lattice mismatch and difference in TEC between the KNMN thin film and the Nb:SrTiO3 substrate creates a compressive strain. The compressive strain gradient may be the main cause for the observed downward self‐polarization. The downward self‐polarization of the KNMN thin film can be explained by the strong inhomogeneous compressive strain caused by strain relaxation. (© 2016 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH &Co. Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) has an optical band gap of 1.4–1.5 eV, which is similar to that of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS), and a high absorption coefficient (>104 cm−1) in the visible light region. In previous reports, CIGS thin-film solar cells have been shown to improve the performance of the device since the secondary phase is removed by Potassium cyanide (KCN) etching treatment. Therefore, in this study we applied a KCN etching treatment on CZTS and measured the effects. We confirmed the removal of Cu2−xS via Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) and Raman scattering spectroscopy. The effects of the experiment indicate that we can define with precision the location of the secondary phases, and therefore the control of the secondary phases will be easier and more efficient. Such capabilities could improve the solar cell performance of CZTS thin-films.  相似文献

We report domain reversal behavior in perpendicular ferromagnetic nanothin films investigated by means of a novel magneto-optical microscope magnetometer, capable of grabbing domain reversal patterns in real time under an applied field as well as simultaneous measurements of 8000 local hysteresis loops with 400-nm special resolution. Three contrasting domain reversal behaviors are found to exist: wall-motion dominant, dendritic-growth dominant, and nucleation dominant reversal. Quantitative analysis reveals that the contrasting reversal behavior is mainly caused by a sensitive change in wall-motion speed and that the reversal ratio of wall-motion speed over nucleation rate is a governing parameter for the contrasting domain reversal dynamics. The activation volumes of the wall-motion and nucleation processes are found generally unequal, and the inequality is closely related with the domain dynamics. The domain reversal pattern is truly coincident with submicron-scale local coercivity variation and local switching time of domain evolution is exponentially dependent on local coercivity governed by a thermal activation relaxation process. The observed domain reversal behavior could be well predicted by a Monte Carlo simulation of a micromagnetic model based on the uniaxial magnetic anisotropy of nanothin films.  相似文献

Aberrant protein glycosylation may be closely associated with cancer pathology. To measure the abundance of protein glycoforms with a specific glycan structure in plasma samples, we developed a lectin-coupled multiple reaction monitoring (MRM)-based mass spectrometric method. It was confirmed that the method could provide reproducible results with precision sufficient to distinguish differences in the abundance of protein glycoforms between individuals. Plasma samples prepared from hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients without immuno-depletion of highly abundant plasma proteins were fractionated by use of fucose-specific aleuria aurantia lectin (AAL) immobilized on magnetic beads by use of a biotin–streptavidin conjugate. The lectin-captured fractions were digested by trypsin and profiled by tandem mass spectrometry. From the proteomic profiling data, target glycoproteins were selected and analyzed quantitatively by MRM-based analysis. The reproducibility of MRM-based quantification of the selected target proteins was reliable, with precision (CV; ≤14% for batch-to-batch replicates and ≤19% for replicates over three days) sufficient to distinguish differences in the abundance of AAL-captured glycoforms between individual plasma samples. This lectin-coupled, MRM-based method, measuring only lectin-captured glycoforms of a target protein rather than total target protein, is a tool for monitoring differences between individuals by measuring the abundance of aberrant glycoforms of a target protein related to a disease. This method may be further applied to rapid verification of biomarker candidates involved in aberrant protein glycosylation in human plasma.  相似文献

We developed an olfactory-nanovesicle-fused carbon-nanotube-transistor biosensor (OCB) that mimics the responses of a canine nose for the sensitive and selective detection of hexanal, an indicator of the oxidation of food. OCBs allowed us to detect hexanal down to 1 fM concentration in real-time. Significantly, we demonstrated the detection of hexanal with an excellent selectivity capable of discriminating hexanal from analogous compounds such as pentanal, heptanal, and octanal. Furthermore, we successfully detected hexanal in spoiled milk without any pretreatment processes. Considering these results, our sensor platform should offer a new method for the assessment of food quality and contribute to the development of portable sensing devices.  相似文献

The noise power spectrum (NPS) is one of the most general methods for measuring the noise amplitude and the quality of an image acquired from a uniform radiation field. The purpose of this study was to compare different NPS methodologies by using megavoltage X-ray energies. The NPS evaluation methods in diagnostic radiation were applied to therapy using the International Electrotechnical Commission standard (IEC 62220-1). In order to measure the region of interest (ROI) of the NPS, we used the following five factors: the overlapping impact, the non-overlapping impact, the penumbra, the flatness and different ROI sizes. We used NPS from four different types of detectors, the CR-IP (computed radiography image plate: photo-stimulable phosphor screen), the CR-IP-lead (hexalon lead screen), the CR-IP-back [lanex TM fast back screen: {terbium-doped gadolinium oxysulfide granular phosphor screen (Gd2O2S:Tb,133 mg/cm2)} + 1-mm-thick copper plate and the CR-IP-front (lanex TM fast front screen). A Kodak 2000 RT photo-stimulable phosphor-based computed radiographic (CR) system showed that the normalized noise power spectrum (NNPS) curve gradually decreased, in compliance with increasing spatial resolution. In addition, each detector showed a different reactivity of the NPS to megavoltage. The results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) test (methods × detectors) revealed significant main effects of the methods [F(1, 4) = 53.543, P = 0.001 and of the detectors [F(1, 4) = 17.556, P = 0.001]. The present study revealed that various factors could be employed to produce megavoltage imaging (MVI) of the NPS and as a baseline standard for NPS control in MVI.

We have developed a facile method to rapidly synthesize the monodisperse silver nanowire-DNA conjugates with a constant diameter and systematically controllable lengths in the range of 0.5-2.5 μm. The synthesis of silver nanowires takes advantage of poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) as a structure-directing reagent and is performed under very mild conditions such as room temperature and aqueous media. The nanowires are densely conjugated with DNA sequences enough to exhibit the cooperative properties for the sensitive and selective detection of DNA targets. Supported Pt and Pd are most commonly used for oxidation catalysts. They have similar and different characteristics for deactivation factors. The catalytic activity of Pt and Pd catalysts supported on ??-Al2O3 was studied in the presence and absence of H2O and SO2 during CO oxidation under simulated conditions of diesel exhaust gas. Without the addition of H2O and SO2 to the feed gas, Pd/Al2O3 had a superior catalytic activity compared to Pt/Al2O3. The addition of H2O to the feed gas strongly and negligibly affected the activity of Pd and Pt, respectively, while the addition of SO2 to the feed gas had a strong poisoning effect on the catalytic activity of both Pt and Pd catalysts. Although being the most active, Pd catalysts exhibited a strong sensitivity to water and sulfur-containing compounds. Fe was added to the Pt and Pd catalysts to introduce sulfur resistance. The addition of Fe enhanced the activity of the catalysts by suppressing the phase transition of Al2O3 to Al2(SO4)3 and by hindering metal sintering.  相似文献
