Let X be a non-singular complex projective curve of genus ≥3. Choose a point xX. Let Mx be the moduli space of stable bundles of rank 2 with determinant We prove that the Chow group CHQ1(Mx) of 1-cycles on Mx with rational coefficients is isomorphic to CHQ0(X). By studying the rational curves on Mx, it is not difficult to see that there exits a natural homomorphism CH0(J)→CH1(Mx) where J denotes the Jacobian of X. The crucial point is to show that this homomorphism induces a homomorphism CH0(X)→CH1(Mx), namely, to go from the infinite dimensional object CH0(J) to the finite dimensional object CH0(X). This is proved by relating the degeneration of Hecke curves on Mx to the second term I*2 of Bloch's filtration on CH0(J). Insong Choe was supported by KOSEF (R01-2003-000-11634-0).  相似文献

With the expansion of the Internet and World Wide Web (or the Web), research environments have changed dramatically. As a result, the need to be able to efficiently and securely access information and resources from remote computer systems is becoming even more critical. This paper describes the development of an extendable integrated Web-accessible simulation environment for computational science and engineering called Computational Science and Engineering Online (CSE-Online; http://cse-online.net). CSE-Online is based on a unique client-server software architecture that can distribute the workload between the client and server computers in such a way as to minimize the communication between the client and server, thus making the environment less-sensitive to network instability. Furthermore, the new software architecture allows the user to access data and resources on one or more remote servers as well as on the computing grid while having the full capability of the Web-services collaborative environment. It can be accessed anytime and anywhere from a Web browser connected to the network by either a wired or wireless connection. It has different modes of operations to support different working environments and styles. CSE-Online is evolving into middleware that can provide a framework for accessing and managing remote data and resources including the computing grid for any domain, not necessarily just within computational science and engineering.  相似文献

We show that if a small holomorphic Sobolev space on the unit disk is not just small but very small, then a trivial necessary condition is also sufficient for a composition operator to be bounded. A similar result for holomorphic Lipschitz spaces is also obtained. These results may be viewed as boundedness analogues of Shapiro’s theorem concerning compact composition operators on small spaces. We also prove the converse of Shapiro’s theorem if the symbol function is already contained in the space under consideration. In the course of the proofs we characterize the bounded composition operators on the Zygmund class. Also, as a by-product of our arguments, we show that small holomorphic Sobolev spaces are algebras.  相似文献

Let E be a vector bundle of rank 2 over an algebraic curve X of genus g ≥ 2. In this paper, we prove that E is determined by its maximal line subbundles if it is general. By restudying the results of Lange and Narasimhan which relates the maximal line subbundles with the secant varieties of X, we observe that the proof can be reduced to proving some cohomological conditions satisfied by the maximal line subbundles. By noting the similarity between these conditions and the notion of very stable bundles, we get the result for the case when E has Segre invariant s(E) = g. The TEMPO‐mediated polymerization of styrene in the presence of camphorsulfonic acid (CSA) is carried out using controlled radical dispersion polymerization. In the absence of TEMPO and CSA, 92% of conversion was achieved within 3 h of polymerization. When TEMPO is solely used, broadening of particle size with narrow PDI was observed because of the prolonged polymerization time. However, when 1:1 molar ratio of CSA/TEMPO was added, the fairly monodisperse PS microspheres having 5.83 μm average size and 3.42% CV (coefficient of variation) were successfully achieved because of the narrow molecular weight of intermediate oligomers and shortening of the polymerization time. This result obviously indicates that the addition of CSA in TEMPO‐mediated dispersion polymerization not only shortens the polymerization time but also greatly improves the uniformity of the microspheres. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of bipolar host materials containing dibenzo[b,d]thiophene (DBT) or dibenzo[b,d]thiophene 5,5-dioxide core were successfully synthesized, and their physical, photophysical, and electrochemical properties were investigated. The three host materials showed well-localized electron distribution at the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) states, as evidenced by theoretical calculations. Triplet energies of the new host materials are higher than 2.6 eV, and the blend film with bis[2-(4,6-difluorophenyl)pyridinato-C2 Misra, A. et al. (2006). Semicond. Sci. In this study, polymeric nanocomposites of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were spin coated on a pre-patterned ITO glass and used as a hole conducting layer in organic photovoltaic cells. The multi-layered ITO/MWCNT-PEDOT:PSS/CuPc/C60/Al devices were fabricated to investigate the current density-voltage characteristics and power conversion efficiency. The power conversion efficiency obtained from the device with a concentration of 1.0 wt% MWCNT in the PEDOT:PSS layer was increased twice as those adopted from device without MWCNT doping in the PEDOT:PSS layer and current density-voltage characteristics was also improved well with incorporation of MWCNTs.  相似文献

A rapid and simple gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method was developed and validated to identify and quantify synthetic cannabinoids in the materials seized during drug trafficking. Accuracy and reproducibility of the method were improved by using deuterated JWH-018 and JWH-073 as internal standards. Validation results of the GC-MS method showed that it was suitable for simultaneous qualitative and quantitative analyses of synthetic cannabinoids, and we analyzed synthetic cannabinoids in seized materials using the validated GC-MS method. As a result of the analysis, ten species of synthetic cannabinoids were identified in dried leaves (n?=?40), bulk powders (n?=?6), and tablets (n?=?14) seized in Korea during 2009–2012, as a single ingredient or as a mixture with other active co-ingredients. JWH-018 and JWH-073 were the most frequently identified compounds in the seized materials. Synthetic cannabinoids in the dried leaves showed broad concentration ranges, which may cause unexpected toxicity to abusers. The bulk powders were considered as raw materials used to prepare legal highs, and they contained single ingredient of JWH-073, JWH-019, or JWH-250 with the purity over 70 %. In contrast, JWH-018 and JWH-073 contents in the tablets were 7.1–13.8 and 3.0–10.2 mg/g, respectively. Relatively low contents in the tablets suggest that the synthetic cannabinoids may have been added to the tablets as supplements to other active co-ingredients.  相似文献

A highly specific lead-binding peptide ThrAsnThrLeuSerAsnAsn was displayed on Escherichia coli, and lead adsorption characteristics of the recombinant bacteria were investigated. Cell surface-displayed peptide was expressed under the control of an arabinose promoter using outer membrane protein C (OmpCt) as an anchoring motif. The optimal induction period and arabinose concentration for the expression of peptide-fused OmpCt were determined to be 2 h and 0.001 g/L, respectively. Selective adsorption of Pb2+ onto recombinant cells was verified with individual or combinatory use of four metal ions, Pb2+, Ni2+, Co2+, and Cu2+; the amount of bound Pb2+ onto the biosorbents was significantly higher than the other metal ions. The adsorption isotherm of recombinant cells for Pb2+ followed the Langmuir isotherm with a maximum adsorption loading (q max) of 526 μmol/g dry cell weight.  相似文献
