Atomic force microscopy observation of peroxynitrite-induced erythrocyte cytoskeleton reorganization

Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to study surface layers of fixed intact erythrocytes. Advantages of simultaneous analysis of surface topography and lateral force maps in the investigation of cytoskeleton structure were shown. Fractal analysis was applied to the lateral force maps of erythrocyte surfaces to evaluate the complexity of the cytoskeleton. Peroxynitrite was used as an oxidant to induce changes in the cytoskeleton structure of intact erythrocytes. Peroxynitrite action on whole blood leads to local abnormalities in the erythrocyte cytoskeleton structure, as well as cytoskeleton reorganization in protruded regions of crenated erythrocytes. 相似文献

Background
Our group previously demonstrated that a DNA plasmid encoding the mycobacterial 65-kDa heat shock protein (DNA-HSP65) displayed prophylactic and therapeutic effect in a mice model for tuberculosis. This protection was attributed to induction of a strong cellular immunity against HSP65. As specific immunity to HSP60 family has been detected in arthritis, multiple sclerosis and diabetes, the vaccination procedure with DNA-HSP65 could induce a cross-reactive immune response that could trigger or worsen these autoimmune diseases. 相似文献63.
Nucleus cross-polarization technique in a rotating frame of reference is analyzed as applied to NMR experiments with sample magic-angle spinning. The concept of simultaneous phase and amplitude modulation is suggested. According to this suggestion, the form of the Hamiltonian of recoupled dipolar interaction remains unchanged if phase inversion is accompanied by inversion of the difference of radio-frequency (RF) field amplitudes. A theoretical treatment is given in terms of the average Hamiltonian theory. The concept is demonstrated experimentally and by numerical analysis for several particular cases. Periodic phase inversion in cross-polarization experiments was shown to have the practically important advantage of suppressing chemical shift interactions and the effect of inaccurate tuning of RF field parameters. 相似文献

By classical molecular dynamics, a series of solutions in the ternary water-lithium nitrate-calcium nitrate system is simulated. The radial distribution functions for different atom pairs are calculated, the coordination numbers are estimated, and the pattern of change of their first solvation shell composition with a change in the component ratio in the model system is examined. The first sphere of water molecule in the solutions with different concentration is considered in detail. Inelastic scattering induces dephasing in mesoscopic systems. An analysis of previous models to simulate inelastic scattering
in such systems is presented and a relatively new model based on wave attenuation is introduced. The problem of Aharonov-Bohm
(AB) oscillations in conductance of a mesoscopic ring is studied. We show that the conductance is symmetric under flux reversal
and the visibility of AB oscillations decays to zero as a function of the incoherence parameter, signaling dephasing. Further

the results of investigations of the TiV0.80Cr1.20H5.29 hydride by continuous-wave (cw) and pulsed 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. It has been revealed that the hydrogen atoms occupy tetrahedral positions of the
face-centered cubic lattice. A model that takes into account the exchange between two states of hydrogen, i.e., mobile hydrogen
and hydrogen bound to the lattice, has been proposed for interpreting the temperature dependences of the relaxation times

2 of 1H nuclei. The assumption that the exchange occurs in these alloys has made it possible, in particular, to explain the strong
