Our earlier work showed that the stability of the bioactive compounds gastrodin (GA) and vanillyl alcohol (VA) in Gastrodia elata Blume behaved differently with varying compositions of water-ethanol using pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) at room temperature. To have a better understanding of the extraction process of these thermally labile compounds under elevated temperature conditions, pressurized hot water extraction (PHWE) and microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) methods were proposed. PHWE and MAE showed that GA and VA could be extracted using pure water under optimized conditions of temperature and extraction time. The extraction efficiency of GA and VA by the proposed methods was found to be higher or comparable to heating under reflux using water. The marker compounds present in the plant extracts were determined by RP-HPLC. The optimized conditions were found to be different for the two proposed methods on extraction of GA and VA. The method precision (RSD, n=6) was found to vary from 0.92% to 3.36% for the two proposed methods on different days. Hence, PHWE and MAE methods were shown to be feasible alternatives for the extraction of thermally labile marker compounds present in medicinal plants. 相似文献

Sixteen diphenylethylenediamine analogues including those with electron donating, electron withdrawing, and sterically bulky substituents have been prepared in good overall yields (70-90%) and in enantiomerically pure form (>99% ee) by diaza-Cope rearrangement reaction. A single chiral mother diamine, ((R,R)-1,2-bis-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1,2-diaminoethane), is reacted with appropriate aldehydes to form the initial diimines that rearrange to give all the product diimines in the (S,S) form. The daughter diamines are obtained by hydrolysis of the product diimines. Density functional theory computation shows that resonance-assisted hydrogen-bond is the main driving force behind all the rearrangement reactions. Chiral high performance liquid chromatography and circular dichroism spectroscopy show that the highly stereospecific rearrangement reactions take place with apparent inversion of stereochemistry. 相似文献

Singlet oxygen quantum yields generated by excited state aromatic amino acids (tryptophan, tyrosine, phenylalanine), N-acetylated amino acids (N-acetyl-tryptophan, N-acetyl-tyrosine, N-acetyl-phenylalanine), and from selected proteins and immunoglobulins have been quantified by time-resolved phosphorescence measurements. A small, but significant, quantum yield found for proteins and immunoglobulins demonstrates that molecular oxygen can diffuse through the polypeptide matrix and can be sensitized by residues buried within the folds of protein structure. 相似文献

In this study, the effect of argon‐plasma treatment on the grafting of methyl diallyl ammonium salt (MDAA) onto polyamide‐6 film and the anti‐bacterial and surface properties of the plasma‐ and graft‐treated film were investigated. The grafting amounts of MDAA caused by argon‐plasma treatment increased with the increase in the plasma exposure time and plasma power. The analyses of Fourier transform infrared (FT‐IR) spectroscopy and electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis (ESCA) spectra revealed that the epoxy and vinyl groups of MDAA could be grafted on the argon‐plasma treated polyamide‐6 film. The survey spectra of ESCA, the patterns of atomic force microscopy (AFM), and the spectra from scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were employed to certify the surface modification of argon‐plasma treated and the argon‐plasma treated/MDAA grafted polyamide‐6 films. Argon‐plasma treatment could generate the functional group and increase the roughness on the surface of polyamide‐6 film. This phenomenon could enhance the grafting effect of MDAA. The anti‐bacterial property of argon‐plasma treated/MDAA grafted polyamide‐6 film was excellent. Let n be a positive integer. A generalized Latin square of order n is an \(n\times n\) matrix such that the elements in each row and each column are distinct. In this paper, we show that for any integer \(n\ge 6\) and any integer m where \(m\in \left\{ n, n+1, \dots , \frac{n(n+1)}{2}-2\right\} \), there exists a commutative generalized Latin square of order n with m distinct elements which is not embeddable in any group. In addition, we show that for any integer \(r\ge 3\) and any integer s where \(s\in \{ r, r+1, \dots , r^2-2\}\), there exists a non-commutative generalized Latin square of order r with s distinct elements which is not embeddable in any group. 相似文献

Arabinoxylan (AX) microspheres were formulated by ionotropic gelation for extended drug delivery. AX from Plantago ovata was tested for gelation with aluminium, barium, calcium, magnesium, and iron(III) chloride. Only calcium was found to lead to weak gelation with AX. The conventional needle extrusion produced fragile AX beads with calcium and hence the spray drying process was adopted for the preparation of metronidazole hydrochloride (MH) loaded AX microspheres. MH loading in AX microspheres was 30.8 mass %, 31.9 mass %, and 29.3 mass % in formulations gelled with 0.05 g, 0.1 g, and 0.15 g of calcium chloride per 100 mL of solution, respectively. Scanning electron microscopy revealed the crystallinity reduction of MH in microspheres. The surface of drug loaded calcium gelled AX microsphere was rougher than that of an ungelled one. Interactions of calcium with AX and the amorphous nature of the drug in the microspheres were evidenced by infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction studies. Calcium-induced gelation can extend the drug release to over 90 min in 0.1 M HCl despite the hydrophilic nature of AX and the high solubility of metronidazole. 相似文献
