We report diode end-pumped continuous-wave Tm:YAlO3 slab lasers with high power and high efficiency. At room temperature, b-cut Tm:YAlO3 slabs with doping concentrations of 1, 4 and 5 at.% pumped by fiber-coupled and fast-axis collimated laser diodes with different wavelengths are compared. Tm:YAlO3 slab lasers of 4 at.% doping concentrations have the highest optical-to-optical efficiency. When pumped with fiber-coupled and fast-axis collimated laser diodes, the maximum output powers are 11 W and 15 W, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 52% and 40%, respectively. 相似文献

Wheel-off-loadings and orbital maneuvers of the GEO satellite result in additional accelerations to the satellite itself.
Complex and difficult to model, these time varying accelerations are an important error source of precise orbit determination
(POD). In most POD practices, only non-maneuver orbital arcs are treated. However, for some applications such as satellite
navigation RDSS services, uninterrupted orbital ephemeris is demanded, requiring the development of POD strategies to be processed
both during and after an orbital maneuver. We in this paper study the POD for a maneuvered GEO satellite, using high precision
and high sampling rate ranging data obtained with Chinese Area Positioning System (CAPS). The strategy of long arc POD including
maneuver arcs is studied by using telemetry data to model the maneuver thrust process. Combining the thrust and other orbital
perturbations, a long arc of 6 days’ CAPS ranging data is analyzed. If the telemetry data are not available or contain significant
errors, attempts are made to estimate thrusting parameters using CAPS ranging data in the POD as an alternative to properly
account for the maneuver. Two strategies achieve reasonably good data fitting level in the tested arc with the maximal position
difference being about 20 m.

A hybrid structure composed of ordered C11b Ti2Ni and Ti5Ni3 substructures for the G-P zones precipitated in Ti-rich Ti–Ni shape memory ribbons is proposed to explain the appearance of extra diffuse scattering streaks in transmission electron microscopy observations. Manipulation of antiferromagnetic (AFM) spins by electrical means is on great demand to develop the AFM spintronics with low power consumption. Here we report a reversible electrical control of antiferromagnetic moments of FeMn up to 15 nm, using an ionic liquid to exert a substantial electric-field effect. The manipulation is demonstrated by the modulation of exchange spring in [Co/Pt]/FeMn system, where AFM moments in FeMn pin the magnetization rotation of Co/Pt. By carrier injection or extraction, the magnetic anisotropy of the top layer in FeMn is modulated to influence the whole exchange spring and then passes its influence to the [Co/Pt]/FeMn interface, through a distance up to the length of exchange spring that fully screens electric field. Comparing FeMn to IrMn, despite the opposite dependence of exchange bias on gate voltages, the same correlation between carrier density and exchange spring stiffness is demonstrated. Besides the fundamental significance of modulating the spin structures in metallic AFM via all-electrical fashion, the present finding would advance the development of low-power-consumption AFM spintronics. 相似文献

Using the recently proposed higher-order chiral Lagrangians determined from the integration of nontopological chiral anomalies, we calculate corrections to the current-algebra analysis ofK→3Π decay amplitudes expanded in powers of the Dalitz variables. Effects of quartic-derivative weak chiral Lagrangians are determined through the use of short-distance effective weak Hamiltonian and the factorization method. We find that (1) the constant and linear terms in the amplitude for ΔI=1/2K→3Π are in excellent agreement with experiment; the previous discrepancy of (20–35)% between current algebra and data is thus accounted for by the higher-order effective Lagrangians, (2) the penguin interaction does not play an essential role in the ΔI=1/2 rule, for otherwise it will lead to a large disagreement for the constant and linear terms, (3) one of the two quadratic terms in the ΔI=1/2 process, which arise from the quartic chiral Lagrangians, is in accord with data within experimental errors, while the other is off by four standard deviations, (4) the linear term in the ΔI=3/2 transitions is in good agreement with experiment and contributions from quadratic terms are sizable. 相似文献

We demonstrate the supercontinuum (SC) generation in a four-hole As2S5 chalcogenide microstructured optical fiber (MOF) experimentally. The As2S5 glass has better property of transmission than As2S3 glass in the visible range. The four-hole As2S5 MOF is fabricated by a rod-in-tube method. The SCs generated by different pump wavelengths at 2,000, 2,300 and 2,500 nm in the MOF whose length is from 2.3 to 20 cm are demonstrated. Those pump wavelengths correspond to the chromatic dispersion wavelength in the normal chromatic dispersion region, the anomalous chromatic dispersion region close to zero-dispersion wavelength (ZDW) and the anomalous chromatic dispersion region far from ZDW, respectively. Wider SCs can be obtained when pumped at a wavelength in the anomalous dispersion region close to ZDW. The widest SC range of 4,280 nm (from 1,370 to 5,650 nm) covering two octaves was obtained in a 4.8-cm-long fiber pumped at 2,300 nm. 相似文献

A cesium 6S(1/2) --> 8S(1/2) two-photon-transition (TPT)-stabilized 822.5 nm diode laser is reported for the first time to our knowledge. Allan deviation of 4.4 x 10(-13) (60 s) was achieved, and the possible systematic errors were evaluated as smaller than 2 kHz. We demonstrate that the cesium TPT-stabilized diode laser could be a reliable frequency reference at 822.5 nm wavelength. 相似文献

We have developed an integrated optical system to measure the warpage of a microdisplay product at post-packaging die-attach temperature and to test its hermeticity after manufacturing. This system is constructed based on the principle of Twyman/Green (T/G) interferometry and Newton interferometry. T/G interferometry is used to characterize warpage of the microdisplay's base-plate, while Newton interferometry is used to characterize the gap variance between face-plate and base-plate of the microdisplay. With these measurements, deformation and shape of the microdisplay can be comprehensively determined during its manufacturing process, which is critical for its quality test and reliability evaluation. Delicate mechanical system was designed to facilitate the optics integration and alignment. To evaluate the performance of the optical system itself, warpage of a sample was re-measured with Tailor–Hobson profilometer whose resolution is 10 nm, the results from these two testing systems agree well with each other.
