The appearance of microlenses in the amorphous crystal Ge33As12Se33 modulated by the acoustic waves with intensity of 107 W/m2 and frequency of (200–400) MHz is presented. The flexibility of microlens, i.e. the dependence of its focal point in 3D space on the parameters of acoustic wave is studied. Basing on flexibility of microlens, a model of acousto-optical tweezers to stretch the λ-phage WLC DNA molecule is proposed. And then the control process of stretched length of DNA molecule in 3D space of the water (fluid) by calibration of the acoustic frequency is numerically observed and discussed. The obtained results show the possibility to use the acousto-optical tweezers to control the stretched length of WLC DNA molecule with high fineness.  相似文献

We report the observation of imaging beyond the diffraction limit due to bound surface states in negative refraction photonic crystals. We achieve an effective negative index figure of merit [-Re(n)/Im(n)] of at least 380, approximately 125x improvement over recent efforts in the near-infrared range, with a 0.4 THz bandwidth. Supported by numerical and theoretical analyses, the observed near-field resolution is 0.47lambda, clearly smaller than the diffraction limit of 0.61lambda. Importantly, we show this subdiffraction imaging is due to the resonant excitation of surface slab modes.  相似文献

The 115, 117, 119, 121In nuclei have been produced as fission fragments in three reactions induced by heavy ions: 12C + 238U at 90MeV bombarding energy, 18O + 208Pb reaction at 85MeV, and 31P + 176Yb at 152MeV. Their level schemes have been built from gamma-rays detected using the EUROBALL III and IV arrays. High-spin states of 117, 119, 121In nuclei have been identified for the first time. Moreover, isomeric states lying around 2.5MeV have been established in 119, 121In from the delayed coincidences between the fission fragment detector SAPhIR and the gamma array. Most of the observed states can be described by coupling a proton g 9/2 hole to a Sn core, while the intruder band based on an orbital from the π[g 7/2/d 5/2] sub-shells behaves as the ground-state band of neighbouring Cd isotopes. We report here the first non-Kramers (NK) ESEEM and ENDOR study of a mononuclear NK center, presenting extensive parallel-mode ESEEM and ENDOR measurements on the S(t) = 2 ferrous center of [Fe(II)ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetato](2-); [Fe(II)EDTA)](2-). The results disclose an anomalous equivalence of the experimental patterns produced by the two techniques. A simple theoretical treatment of the frequency-domain patterns expected for NK-ESEEM and NK-ENDOR rationalizes this correspondence and further suggests that the very observation of NK-ENDOR is the result of an unprecedentedly large hyperfine enhancement effect. The mixed nitrogen-carboxylato oxygen coordination of [Fe(II)EDTA](2-) models that of the protein-bound diiron centers, although with a higher coordination number. Analysis of the NK-ESEEM measurements yields the quadrupole parameters for the (14)N ligands of [Fe(II)EDTA](2-), K = 1.16(1) MHz, 0 相似文献

We establish an estimate for the degree of a holomorphic mapping f : K 1 K 2 (here, K 1 and K 2 are doubly-connected domains) in terms of the modulus of a family of curves in K 2. Summary A combined procedure including enrichment by adsorption onto activated carbon and direct current (dc) arc emission spectrography has been investigated for elemental determination. In order to obtain reproducible volatilization of the analyte in the dc arc, the activated carbon was mixed with graphite powder and the arc operated in an argon atmosphere. The procedure has been used to determine some trace impurities in high-purity aluminium metal. The analytical error in the concentration range of 10–3–10–5% was less than 10% and the relative standard deviation was below 12%.

Chiral transmission between monosaccharides and amino acids via photodissociation in the gas phase was examined using a tandem mass spectrometer fitted with an electrospray ionization source and a cold ion trap in order to investigate the origin of the homochirality of biomolecules in molecular clouds. Ultraviolet photodissociation mass spectra of cold gas-phase noncovalent complexes of the monosaccharide enantiomers glucose (Glc) and galactose (Gal) with protonated l-tryptophan H+(l-Trp) were obtained by photoexcitation of the indole ring of l-Trp. l-Trp dissociated via Cα–Cβ bond cleavage when noncovalently complexed with d-Glc; however, no dissociation of l-Trp occurred in the homochiral H+(l-Trp)(l-Glc) noncovalent complex, where the energy absorbed by l-Trp was released through the evaporation of l-Glc. This enantioselective photodissociation of Trp was due to the transmission of chirality from Glc to Trp via photodissociation in the gas-phase noncovalent complexes, and was applied to the quantitative chiral analysis of monosaccharides. The enantiomeric excess of monosaccharides in solution could be determined by measuring the relative abundance of the two product ions in a single photodissociation mass spectrum of the cold gas-phase noncovalent complex with H+(l-Trp), and by referring to the linear relationships derived in this work.

Electroosmosis on nonuniformly charged surfaces often gives rise to intriguing flow behaviors, which can be utilized in applications such as mixing processes and designing micromotors. Here, we demonstrate nonuniform electroosmosis induced by electrochemical reactions. Water electrolysis creates pH gradients near the electrodes that cause a spatiotemporal change in the wall zeta potential, leading to nonuniform electroosmosis. Such nonuniform EOFs induce multiple vortices, which promote the continuous accumulation of particles that subsequently form a colloidal band. The band develops vertically into a “wall” of particles that spans from the bottom to the top surface of the chamber. Such a flow-driven colloidal band can be potentially used in colloidal self-assembly and separation processes irrespective of the particle surface properties. For instance, we demonstrate these vortices can promote rapid segregation of soft colloids such as oil droplets and fat globules.  相似文献

The pressure effects on atomic mean-square displacement, extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) Debye-Waller factor and melting temperature of solid krypton have been investigated in within the statistical moment method scheme in quantum statistical mechanics. By assuming the interaction between atoms can be described by Buckingham potential, we performed the numerical calculations for krypton up to pressure 120?GPa. Our calculations show that the atomic mean-square displacement and EXAFS Debye-Waller factor of krypton crystal depend strongly on pressure. They make the robust reduction of the EXAFS peak height. Our results are in good and reasonable agreements with available experimental data. This approach gives us a relatively simple method for qualitatively calculating high-pressure thermo-physical properties of materials. Moreover, it can be used to verify future high-pressure experimental and theoretical works.  相似文献
