The rate constants for the autoxidation of polypropylene were determined by a combined ESR, volumetric, and chemical method. The values of ki, kp, and kt at 110°C. are 3 × 10?4 sec.?1, 1.9 l./mole-sec., and 3 × 106 l./mole-sec., respectively. The values of ki and its activation energy are the same as those for the decomposition of polypropylene hydroperoxide, thus identifying the latter as the principal initiation process. The values of the temperature-independent kt suggest that secondary peroxy radicals are the terminating species. The rate constants are compared with rate constant ratios for initiated autoxidations of squalane and other related systems. 相似文献

Several CW–V catalysts were prepared by supporting VCl4 on Mg Cl2 with ethyl benzoate and CH–V catalysts prepared by reacting MgCl2.ROH, phthalic anhydride, and VCl4. These vanadium catalysts, activated with TEA (triethyl aluminum)/MPT (methyl-p-toluate) produce mainly (88–96%) refluxing n-heptane insoluble isotactic PP. The active site has $ k_{p,i} = 1580 \left( M {\rm s} \right)^{ - 1}, k_{tr,i}^{\rm A} = 2 \times 10^{ - 3} {\rm s}^{ - 1} , k_{tr}^{\rm H} = 3.8 \times 10^{ - 2} \left( {\rm torr} \right)^{ - {1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-\nulldelimiterspace} 2}} {\rm s}^{ - 1}$ for the isospecific ones and $ k_{p,a} = 58 \left( M {\rm s} \right)^{ - 1} ,k_{tr,a}^{\rm A} = 3 \times 10^{ - 3} {\rm s}^{ -1}$ for the nonspecific sites. Catalyst of VCl3 supported on MgCl2 has comparable productivity as the VCl4/MgCl2 catalyst but catalyst of VCl2 supported on MgCl2 exhibit only one-ninth of the productivity. Extensive comparison has been made between the CW–V and the CW–Ti systems which revealed striking similarities between their polymerization behaviors. MgCl2 exerts profound influence on the stereochemical control of the vanadium ion on its activity for monomer coordination and insertion. 相似文献

This work describes a nuclear facility forin vivo prompt gamma activation analysis (IVPGAA) using a moderated neutron beam from a 0.1 W Tsing-Hua Mobile Educational Reactor (THMER). The IVPGAA measurement is a new technique for toxic cadmium determination in organs, which can efficiently be used in clinical diagnosis. The low-power nuclear reactor provides a total neutron flux of 3.3·104 n·cm–2·s–1 on the surface of the central vertical neutron beam tube to which a liquid phantom is positioned. The capability of such partial-body irradiation facility is demonstrated. The detection limit of cadmium in the left kidney for a skin dose equivalent of 1.66 mSv (166 mrem) was 1.34 mg in a 500-s irradiation/counting period, and the sensitivity in the left kidney was 103 counts mg–1·mSv–1. The performance of IVPGAA system using the THMER nuclear facility therefore has the advantages of mobility and feasibility with high sensitivity under low neutron and gamma doses. 相似文献

Mango peels are usually discarded as waste; however, they contain phytochemicals and could provide functional properties to food and promote human health. This study aimed to determine the optimal lactic acid bacteria for fermentation of mango peel and evaluate the effect of mango peel on neuronal protection in Neuron-2A cells against amyloid beta (Aβ) treatment (50 μM). Mango peel can be fermented by different lactic acid bacteria species. Lactobacillus acidophilus (BCRC14079)-fermented mango peel produced the highest concentration of lactic acid bacteria (exceeding 108 CFU/mL). Mango peel and fermented mango peel extracts upregulated brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression for 1.74-fold in Neuron-2A cells. Furthermore, mango peel fermented products attenuated oxidative stress in Aβ-treated neural cells by 27%. Extracts of L. acidophilus (BCRC14079)-fermented mango peel treatment decreased Aβ accumulation and attenuated the increase of subG1 caused by Aβ induction in Neuron-2A cells. In conclusion, L. acidophilus (BCRC14079)-fermented mango peel acts as a novel neuronal protective product by inhibiting oxidative stress and increasing BDNF expression in neural cells. 相似文献

A high efficiency BGO detecting system coupled to a coolant pumping device was used to monitor on-line the 6.13 MeV high energy gamma-ray, which is emitted from the 7.1 s half-life of16N activated by16O(n, p) reaction in a nuclear reactor.
