Electrospun poly‐l ‐lactic acid (PLLA) nanofiber mats carrying surface amine groups, previously introduced by nitrogen atmospheric pressure nonequilibrium plasma, are embedded into aqueous solutions of oligomeric acrylamide‐end capped AGMA1, a biocompatible polyamidoamine with arg‐gly‐asp (RGD)‐reminiscent repeating units. The resultant mixture is finally cured giving PLLA‐AGMA1 hydrogel composites that absorb large amounts of water and, in the swollen state, are translucent, soft, and pliable, yet as strong as the parent PLLA mat. They do not split apart from each other when swollen in water and remain highly flexible and resistant, since the hydrogel portion is covalently grafted onto the PLLA nanofibers via the addition reaction of the surface amine groups to a part of the terminal acrylic double bonds of AGMA1 oligomers. Preliminary tested as scaffolds, the composites prove capable of maintaining short‐term undifferentiated cultures of human pluripotent stem cells in feeder‐free conditions.

Organic materials with multiple emissions tunable by external stimuli represent a great challenge. TTPyr, crystallizing in different polymorphs, shows a very rich photophyisics comprising excitation-dependent fluorescence and phosphorescence at ambient conditions, and mechanochromic and thermochromic behavior. Transformation among the different species has been followed by thermal and X-ray diffraction analyses and the emissive features interpreted through structural results and DFT/TDDFT calculations. Particularly intriguing is the polymorph TTPyr(HT), serendipitously obtained at high temperature but stable also at room temperature, whose non-centrosymmetric structure guarantees an SHG efficiency 10 times higher than that of standard urea. Its crystal packing, where only the TT units are strongly rigidified by π-π stacking interactions while the Pyr moieties possess partial conformational freedom, is responsible for the observed dual fluorescence. The potentialities of TTPyr for bioimaging have been successfully established.  相似文献

The need to provide accurate predictions in the evolution of the COVID-19 epidemic has motivated the development of different epidemiological models. These models require a careful calibration of their parameters to capture the dynamics of the phenomena and the uncertainty in the data. This work analyzes different parameters related to the personal evolution of COVID-19 (i.e., time of recovery, length of stay in hospital and delay in hospitalization). A Bayesian Survival Analysis is performed considering the age factor and period of the epidemic as fixed predictors to understand how these features influence the evolution of the epidemic. These results can be easily included in the epidemiological SIR model to make prediction results more stable.  相似文献

Perfluoropolyether (PFPE) fluids constitute a class of polymers that fulfil a wide range of requirements for hi-tech applications, due to their pefluorinated backbone. For some of these applications they are requested to bear polar end groups, and the combination of a chemical inert backbone and a reactive end group can produce peculiar conformations and supramolecular structures. The molecular structure and the vibrational properties of the ethoxyl-terminated PFPE FLUOROLINK®E10H in solution are here investigated by means of IR spectroscopy. It is shown that the complex spectral features of the OH-stretching region cannot be explained without a thorough computational study, involving the investigation of the conformational space of an isolated model molecule by means of semiempirical AM1 calculations and DFT calculations. The most relevant conformers were singled out, showing a high degree of conformational disorder for FLUOROLINK®E10H. Furthermore, it is shown that intra- and intermolecular H-bonding affects significantly the molecular structure and the vibrational spectrum. Several interactions are shown to be relevant, such as OHF interactions and complexes with residual water. Theoretical values of the absolute intensities of OH stretching IR bands, relevant for the analytical applications, are obtained.  相似文献

The application of the palladium-phenanthroline catalytic system to the carbonylation of nitrobenzene in the presence of aniline to afford diphenylurea has been investigated. The reaction is best performed with equimolar amounts of the two reagents. Use of higher concentrations of either aniline or nitrobenzene or an increase in temperature in the range 120-170 °C leads to the formation of higher amounts of azo- and azoxybenzene. The latter were found to contain exclusively the aryl moiety deriving from nitrobenzene, with no inclusion of that derived from aniline. The addition of a small amount of diphenylphosphinic acid doubles the conversion and improves the selectivity in diphenylurea, but the effect is attenuated for larger amounts of acid. Small amounts of chloride, of the order of 10-30 mol% with respect to palladium, improve both rate and selectivity, but only inhibiting effects are detected when chloride is added to the reaction mixture for the carbonylation of 2,4-dinitrotoluene to dimethyl 2,4-toluenedicarbamate. The data obtained and that previously reported in the literature has been analyzed in the context of a unifying mechanism and an explanation for some apparent contradictions has been given.  相似文献

Cyclodextrins have been used as fluorescence enhancers in HPLC to improve thedetection limits of aflatoxins, cancerogens which can be found in severalfoodstuffs. In this work, a screening of several cyclodextrins has been performedin order to find the factors affecting the fluorescence enhancement. Evidence for formationof a 1 : 1 AF-CD inclusion complex has been achieved by titration and competitiveexperiments with adamantanecarboxylic acid and by fluorescence quenching by KI.Stability constants of the AF-CD complexes were evaluated.  相似文献
