In this article, we have developed a straightforward, easy and exceedingly competent approach for the synthesis of 5-phenyl-5,6-dihydropyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-2,4,7(1H,3H,8H)-triones obtain in superior yields in a sole reaction pace with an air and humidity steady catalyst in water as a green solvent at 100°C. The present procedure paves the approach for the synthesis of biologically fascinating molecular frameworks and has reward in conditions of little catalyst loading with palpable ambiguous and straightforward-to-do reaction circumstances with easy purification process. The used β-cyclodextrin catalyst was recuperated and repeated several times devoid of noteworthy loss of catalytic activity, which is a crucial parameter of green synthesis.  相似文献

An eco-friendly multicomponent synthesis of substituted imidazole derivatives catalyzed by β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) was scrutinized for the first time via a one-pot three-compound reaction of aldehyde, isatin, and ammonium acetate in H2O–EtOH at 80°C. β-CD is a supramolecule, highly efficient, biodegradable, and recyclable catalyst used to produce high yields of desired 1,8-dihydroimidazo[2,3-b]indoles. The developed protocol contains number of advantages like nontoxic, inexpensive catalyst; green reaction condition; easily available starting material; shorter reaction time; and good yields.  相似文献

We study the entropy of chiral 2+01-dimensional topological phases, where there are both gapped bulk excitations and gapless edge modes. We show how the entanglement entropy of both types of excitations can be encoded in a single partition function. This partition function is holographic because it can be expressed entirely in terms of the conformal field theory describing the edge modes. We give a general expression for the holographic partition function, and discuss several examples in depth, including abelian and non-abelian fractional quantum Hall states, and $p+ip$ superconductors. We extend these results to include a point contact allowing tunneling between two points on the edge, which causes thermodynamic entropy associated with the point contact to be lost with decreasing temperature. Such a perturbation effectively breaks the system in two, and we can identify the thermodynamic entropy loss with the loss of the edge entanglement entropy. From these results, we obtain a simple interpretation of the non-integer ‘ground state degeneracy’ which is obtained in 1+1-dimensional quantum impurity problems: its logarithm is a 2+1-dimensional topological entanglement entropy.  相似文献

We study the effects of dissipation on a disordered quantum phase transition with O(N) order-parameter symmetry by applying a strong-disorder renormalization group to the Landau-Ginzburg-Wilson field theory of the problem. We find that Ohmic dissipation results in a nonperturbative infinite-randomness critical point with unconventional activated dynamical scaling while super-Ohmic damping leads to conventional behavior. We discuss applications to the superconductor-metal transition in nanowires and to the Hertz theory of the itinerant antiferromagnetic transition.  相似文献

We identify some hidden symmetries of Chern-Simons theories, such as appear in the effective theory for quantized Hall states. This allows us to determine which filling fractions admit spin-singlet quantum Hall states. Our results shed some light on states already observed at , and transitions between them. We identify SU(2), or higher, symmetries of many additional states — including spin-polarized states. Our symmetries classify low-lying excited states and may be of use in the construction of trial wavefunctions, but are typically not present in the edge theory, where they are lifted by non-universal couplings.  相似文献

A novel series of macrocyclic complexes of the type [M(C18H14N10S2)X2]; where M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II); X = Cl?, NO3?, CH3COO? has been synthesized by [2+2] condensation of thiocarbohydrazide and isatin in the presence of divalent metal salts in methanolic medium. The complexes have been characterized with the help of elemental analyses, conductance measurements, magnetic measurements, electronic, NMR and infrared spectral studies. The low value of molar conductance indicates them to be non-electrolytes. On the basis of various studies a distorted octahedral geometry may be proposed for all of these complexes. These metal complexes were also tested for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against some Gram-positive bacteria viz.Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, and some Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and some fungal strains Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus (molds), Candida albicans, Saccharomyces cerevisiae (yeasts). The results obtained were compared with standard antibiotic: Ciprofloxacin and the standard antifungal drug: Amphotericin-B.  相似文献

N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF) is an extensively used organic solvent but is also a potent pollutant. Certain bacterial species from genera such as Paracoccus, Pseudomonas, and Alcaligenes have evolved to use DMF as a sole carbon and nitrogen source for growth via degradation by a dimethylformamidase (DMFase). We show that DMFase from Paracoccus sp. strain DMF is a halophilic and thermostable enzyme comprising a multimeric complex of the α2β2 or (α2β2)2 type. One of the three domains of the large subunit and the small subunit are hitherto undescribed protein folds of unknown evolutionary origin. The active site consists of a mononuclear iron coordinated by two Tyr side-chain phenolates and one carboxylate from Glu. The Fe3+ ion in the active site catalyzes the hydrolytic cleavage of the amide bond in DMF. Kinetic characterization reveals that the enzyme shows cooperativity between subunits, and mutagenesis and structural data provide clues to the catalytic mechanism.  相似文献

The synthesis of a combinatorial library of heterocycle-fused pyridine derivatives has been achieved successfully via a one-pot four-component reaction of aromatic/aliphatic aldehyde, malononitrile, thiazolidine-2,4-dione and ammonium acetate in the presence of piperidinium acetate as the catalyst. It involved the Knoevenagel condensation of the aldehyde and malononitrile to produce arylidene malononitrile as an intermediate, which was further intramolecular cyclization through Michael type addition ketone to the electrophilic double bond of the arylidene to produce fused pyridines in high yields. Environmental friendliness, low cost, Operational simplicity, extensive reusability and applicability, and easy recovery of the catalyst using simple evaporation are the critical features of this methodology. Also, a series of pyridine based dihydrothiazolo[4,5-b] pyridine-6-carbonitrile analogs were synthesized and selected for their in vitro antifungal and antibacterial activities.  相似文献
