Solid-state micropores can provide direct information of ex vivo or in vitro cell populations. Micropores are used to detect and discriminate cancer cells based on the translocation behavior through micropores. The approach provides rapid detection of cell types based on their size and mechano-physical properties like elasticity, viscosity and stiffness. Use of a single micropore device enables detection of tumor cells from whole blood efficiently, at 70% CTC detection efficiency. The CTCs show characteristic electrical signals which easily distinguish these from other cell types. The approach provides a gentle and inexpensive instrument that can be used for specific blood analysis in a lab-on-a-chip setting. The device does not require any preprocessing of the blood sample, particles/beads attachment, surface functionalization or fluorescent tags and provides quantitative and objective detection of cancer cells.  相似文献

A mild and efficient synthesis of 1-aryl-1-fluoroethenes from benzothiazolyl (aryl)fluoromethyl sulfones and paraformaldehyde, under DBU- or Cs(2)CO(3)-mediated conditions at room temperature, is described. A comparable diethyl fluoro(naphthalen-2-yl)methylphosphonate reagent does not react with paraformaldehyde under these mild conditions. The utility of the methodology for synthesis of terminal α-fluoroalkenes bearing electron-withdrawing functionalities is also shown.  相似文献

There are four kinds of Cedar: Cedrus libani naturally occurring in Lebanon, Syria and Turkey, Cedrus atlantica in Morocco and Algeria, Cedrus brevefolia in Cyprus Island and Cedrus deodara which is distributed in Himalayan Mountains. Wood essential oils obtained from C. libani, C. atlantica and C. deodara were tested for the inhibition of K562 cell proliferation and for the induction of erythroid differentiation. The wood essential oils of C. libani, C. atlantica and C. deodara inhibited the proliferation of the K562 cell line exhibiting IC(50) values 23.38?±?1.7, 59.37?±?2.6 and 37.09?±?1.4?μg?mL(-1), respectively. Meanwhile, C. libani wood oils induced a percentage of erythroid differentiation of 15?±?2% at concentration 5?μg?mL(-1). Cedrus deodara wood oil indicated a percentage of erythroid differentiation of 20?±?2% at concentration 25?μg?mL(-1) and C. atlantica wood oils showed a percentage of erythroid differentiation of 12?±?1.8% at concentration 10?μg?mL(-1).  相似文献

Exploration of environmental dynamics using intrinsic biological probe tryptophan is very important; however, it suffers from various difficulties. An alternative probe, kynurenine (KN), has been found to be an efficient probe for the ultrafast dynamics in the biological environment ( 1 ] J. Phys. Chem. B., 114, 15236–15243). In the present study, we have investigated the efficacy of KN for the exploration of relatively slower dynamics of biologically relevant environments. A detailed investigation involving UV–Vis, steady‐state/time‐resolved fluorescence spectroscopy and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) studies on KN compared to a well‐known solvation probe, H33258, a DNA‐minor groove binder in a model nonionic reverse micelle reveals that ultrafast internal conversion associated with the hydrogen‐bonding dynamics masks KN to become a dynamical reporter of the immediate environments of the probe.  相似文献

Three glycosides were isolated from Bougainvillea glabra and their structures were determined by extensive use of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy ((1)H and (13)C). First compound was identical to momordin IIc (quinoside D) [beta-D-glucopyranosyl 3-O-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1 --> 3)-O-(beta-D-glucopyranosyluronic acid)] oleanolate], second compound was quercetin 3-O-alpha-L-(rhamnopyranosyl)(1 --> 6)-[alpha-L-rhamnopy-ranosyl(1 --> 2)]-beta-D-galactopyranoside and third compound was its derivative quercetin 3-O-alpha-L-(4-caffeoylrhamnopyranosyl)(1 --> 6)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 --> 2)]-beta-D-galactopyranoside, a new natural product.  相似文献

Cu(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) metal complexes with novel heterocyclic Schiff base derived from 5-phenyl azo-salicyladehyde and o-amino benzoic acid have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, electronic, IR, and (1)H NMR spectra, and also by aid of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction, molar ratio measurements, molar conductivity measurements, and thermogravimetric analyses. It has been found that the Schiff base behaves as neutral tridentate (ONO) ligand forming chelates with 1:1 (metal:ligand) stoichiometry.  相似文献

Abstract  

The palladium-rich cadmium compounds La6Pd13Cd4 and Ce6Pd13Cd4 were synthesized by induction melting the elements in sealed tantalum ampoules and subsequent annealing. They were characterized by X-ray powder and single-crystal diffraction: Na16Ba6N type, Im[`3] mIm\overline{3} m, a = 988.12(9) pm, wR2 = 0.0463, 225 F 2 values, and 12 variables for La6Pd13Cd4, and a = 982.1(2) pm, wR2 = 0.0521, 215 F 2 values, and 12 variables for Ce6Pd13Cd4. The striking structural motifs are palladium-centred La6 and Ce6 octahedra, which are packed in a bcc fashion. Further palladium and cadmium atoms built up three-dimensional [Pd3Cd] networks in which the La6Pd and Ce6Pd octahedra are embedded. Chemical bonding analyses show that the dominant interaction occurs within the palladium-centred RE 6 octahedra, while weaker bonding exists between them.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate 54 lactic acid bacteria (LAB) strains isolated from meat, fermented vegetables and dairy products for their capacity to produce antimicrobial activities against several bacteria and fungi. The strain designed TN635 has been selected for advanced studies. The supernatant culture of this strain inhibits the growth of all tested pathogenic including the four Gram-negative bacteria (Salmonella enterica ATCC43972, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 49189, Hafnia sp. and Serratia sp.) and the pathogenic fungus Candida tropicalis R2 CIP203. Based on the nucleotide sequence of the 16S rRNA gene of the strain TN635 (1,540 pb accession no FN252881) and the phylogenetic analysis, we propose the assignment of our new isolate bacterium as Lactobacillus plantarum sp. TN635 strain. Its antimicrobial compound was determined as a proteinaceous substance, stable to heat and to treatment with surfactants and organic solvents. Highest antimicrobial activity was found between pH 3 and 11 with an optimum at pH?=?7. The BacTN635 was purified to homogeneity by a four-step protocol involving ammonium sulfate precipitation, centrifugal microconcentrators with a 10-kDa membrane cutoff, gel filtration Sephadex G-25, and C18 reverse-phase HPLC. SDS-PAGE analysis of the purified BacTN635, revealed a single band with an estimated molecular mass of approximately 4 kDa. The maximum bacteriocin production (5,000 AU/ml) was recorded after a 16-h incubation in Man, Rogosa, and Sharpe (MRS) medium at 30?°C. The mode of action of the partial purified BacTN635 was identified as bactericidal against Listeria ivanovii BUG 496 and as fungistatic against C. tropicalis R2 CIP203.  相似文献
