We have synthesized, characterized, and computationally simulated/validated the behavior of two new metal-organic framework (MOF) materials displaying the highest experimental Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface areas of any porous materials reported to date (~7000 m(2)/g). Key to evacuating the initially solvent-filled materials without pore collapse, and thereby accessing the ultrahigh areas, is the use of a supercritical CO(2) activation technique. Additionally, we demonstrate computationally that by shifting from phenyl groups to "space efficient" acetylene moieties as linker expansion units, the hypothetical maximum surface area for a MOF material is substantially greater than previously envisioned (~14600 m(2)/g (or greater) versus ~10500 m(2)/g).  相似文献

Dissolution properties of copper oxide in aqueous solutions containing ethanolamine and/or ammonium fluoride have been evaluated at various pH ranges. The dissolution rate was strongly affected by the pH of the solution. The solution of ammonium fluoride showed good properties for the dissolution of copper oxide in the range of acidic conditions, whereas the solution containing ethanolamine showed a dissolution property within the basic condition. A mixture solution of ethanolamine and ammonium fluoride displayed enhanced dissolution property of copper oxide at acidic and basic conditions only. An expected synergy effect on the dissolution rate and selectivity could not be produced through a mixture of ethanolamine and ammonium fluoride in an aqueous solution. We have measured the branching fraction , longitudinal polarization fraction f(L), and CP asymmetry coefficients A and S for B(0) --> rho(+) rho(-) decays with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+) e(-) collider using 253 Fb(-1) of data. We obtain B = [22.8 +/- 3.8(stat)(+2.3)(-2.6)(syst)] x 10(-6), f(L) = 0.941 (+0.034)(-0.040)(stat) +/- 0.030(syst). A = 0.00 +/- 0.30(stat) +/- 0.09(syst) and S = 0.08 +/- 0.09(syst). These values are used to constrain the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa phase ; the solution consistent with the standard model is phi(2) = (88 +/- 17) degrees or 59 degrees < phi(2) < 115 degrees at 90% C.L.  相似文献

We report on a search for new resonant states in the process gamma gamma --> DD. A candidate C-even charmonium state is observed in the vicinity of 3.93 GeV/c2. The production rate and the angular distribution in the gamma gamma center-of-mass frame suggest that this state is the previously unobserved chi(c2)', the 2(3)P2 charmonium state.  相似文献

(CIITA) down-modulation on allograft rejection. To inhibit the function of CIITA, we constructed a series of CIITA mutants and found one exhibiting the dominant-negative effect on the regulation of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II expression. To test whether the CIITA dominant-negative mutant reduces immunogenicity, CIITA-transfected melanoma cells were injected into allogeneic host and assessed for immune evading activity against host immune cells. We demonstrated that the CIITA dominant-negative mutant allowed tumor nodules to develop earlier in the lung than control by this tumor challenge study. Furthermore, skin grafts deficient for CIITA also survived longer than wild-type in allogeneic hosts. Both the tumor challenge and skin graft studies suggest the inhibition of CIITA molecules in donor tissue would be beneficial to the control of allo-response.  相似文献

A novel approach for the surface modification of hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanocrystals is described by grafting polymerization of vinyl phosphonic acid (VPA) using a redox initiating system in an aqueous media. Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) and XRD analyses confirmed the modification reaction on HAp surfaces. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP MS) showed that the Ca/P molar ratio decreased from 1.67 to 1.36 with increasing the feed VPA amount. Zeta potentials of unmodified HAp and modified HAp in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) solutions (pH 7.4, ionic strength = 10 mM) were negative and decreased with increasing the amount of grafted PVPA. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) measurements and time-dependent phase monitoring indicated that the colloidal stability of modified HAp over unmodified HAp in water dramatically increased and tended to exist as single nanocrystals without aggregation.  相似文献
