Block copolymers based on polyethylene (PE) and ethylene butadiene rubber (EBR) were obtained by successive controlled coordinative chain transfer polymerization (CCTP) of a mixture of ethylene and butadiene (80/20) and pure ethylene. EBR-b-PE diblock copolymers were synthesized using the {Me2Si(C13H8)2Nd(BH4)2Li(THF)}2 complex in combination with n-butyl,n-octyl magnesium (BOMAG) used as both the alkylating and chain transfer agent (CTA). Triblock and multiblock copolymers featuring highly semi-crystalline PE hard segments and soft EBR segments were further obtained by the development of a bimetallic CTA, the pentanediyl-1,5-di(magnesium bromide) (PDMB). These new block copolymers undergo crystallization-driven organization into lamellar structures and exhibit a variety of mechanical properties, including excellent extensibility and elastic recovery in the case of triblock and multiblock copolymers. 相似文献

Curcumin is known to display pronounced anticancer effects and a variety of other biological activities. However, the low bioavailability and fast metabolism of this molecule present an issue of concern with respect to its medicinal applications. To address this issue, structural modifications of the curcumin scaffold can be envisioned as a strategy to improve both the solubility and stability of this chemical entity, without compromising its biological activities. Previous work in our group targeted the synthesis of symmetrical azaheteroaromatic curcuminoids, which showed better solubility and cytotoxicity profiles compared to curcumin. In continuation of that work, we now focused on the synthesis of non-symmetrical nitrogen-containing curcuminoids bearing both a phenolic and an azaheteroaromatic moiety. In that way, we aimed to combine good solubility, antioxidant potential and cytotoxic properties into one molecule. Some derivatives were selected for further chemical modification of their rather labile β-diketone scaffold to the corresponding pyrazole moiety. In this way, thirteen new non-symmetrical aza-aromatic curcuminoids and four pyrazole-based analogues were successfully synthesized in a yield of 11–69 %. All newly synthesized analogues were evaluated for their antioxidant properties, reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, water solubility and anticancer activities. Several novel derivatives displayed good cytotoxicity profiles compared to curcumin, in combination with an improved water solubility and stability, and were thus identified as potential hit scaffolds for further optimization studies. 相似文献

A methodology has been developed to chromatographically quantify indium in polymetallic (bio)hydrometallurgical processing solutions using the Dionex IonPac CS5A column and pyridine‐2,6‐dicarboxylic acid eluent. Cu(II) and In(III) could be separated by elevating the column temperature to 45°C. The comparatively low stability constant of the In‐eluent complex (log K2 = 3.8) required typical leaching samples to be diluted in the eluent rather than acid or water to overcome ligand competition between components of the sample solution and the eluent. The methodology was applied to leachates from (bio)hydrometallurgical processing of oxidic flue dust residues and sulfidic zinc ores, where both are promising candidates for the recovery of indium from low grade ores and metallurgical wastes. Indium, ferrous iron, ferric iron, copper, zinc, nickel, and manganese concentrations could be simultaneously quantified. The method was found suitable for samples containing at least 0.25 mg/L indium and an iron to indium ratio of up to 100:1. 相似文献

In this work, the dynamic behavior of linear elastic solids under antiplane shear deformation is studied by the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM). The governing set of partial differential equations reduces to a scalar wave equation for the out of plane displacement in a two dimensional domain. We use the approach developed by Guangwu as starting point to solve this problem numerically. The numerical performance of the lattice Boltzmann scheme is tested for a stationary crack which can be compared to an analytical solution. Furthermore the performance of the lattice Boltzmann simulations are compared to classical Finite Element Method (FEM) computations with regard to calculation time and accuracy. In order to be able to predict the static solution of three dimensional wetting scenarios, a free energy functional that is dependent on a continuous order parameter is formulated. This free energy functional can be linked to molecular dynamics (MD) simulations by input parameters. Static equilibrium configurations can be computed by minimizing the overall free energy using an evolution equation of Allen-Cahn type. This research extends the study of temporal resolution of the tactual sensory system through measurements of temporal-onset order discrimination for continuous tonal signals addressing (a) the effects of frequency separation of the two stimuli whose onset orders are to be discriminated and (b) the effects of redundant coding of frequency and site of stimulation on performance. Sinusoidal signals were presented either at two separate digits (thumb and index finger of the left hand) or at a single site of stimulation (left index finger) using a multifinger tactual stimulation system. Measurements were obtained using a one-interval two-alternative forced choice procedure in which each interval consisted of the random-order presentation of two different stimuli with roving values of amplitude and duration. Thresholds were estimated from psychometric functions of d' as a function of stimulus-onset asynchrony (SOA). On average, temporal onset-order thresholds were larger for one-finger conditions (mean SOA of 74.8 ms) than for two-finger conditions (mean SOA of 48.5 ms) and decreased as frequency separation increased, particularly for single-site presentation. Redundant coding of frequency and site of stimulation resulted in higher resolution by a factor of 1.5 compared to frequency alone and by a factor of 1.2 compared to site alone. 相似文献

Perceptual integration of vibrotactile and auditory sinusoidal tone pulses was studied in detection experiments as a function of stimulation frequency. Vibrotactile stimuli were delivered through a single channel vibrator to the left middle fingertip. Auditory stimuli were presented diotically through headphones in a background of 50 dB sound pressure level broadband noise. Detection performance for combined auditory-tactile presentations was measured using stimulus levels that yielded 63% to 77% correct unimodal performance. In Experiment 1, the vibrotactile stimulus was 250 Hz and the auditory stimulus varied between 125 and 2000 Hz. In Experiment 2, the auditory stimulus was 250 Hz and the tactile stimulus varied between 50 and 400 Hz. In Experiment 3, the auditory and tactile stimuli were always equal in frequency and ranged from 50 to 400 Hz. The highest rates of detection for the combined-modality stimulus were obtained when stimulating frequencies in the two modalities were equal or closely spaced (and within the Pacinian range). Combined-modality detection for closely spaced frequencies was generally consistent with an algebraic sum model of perceptual integration; wider-frequency spacings were generally better fit by a Pythagorean sum model. Thus, perceptual integration of auditory and tactile stimuli at near-threshold levels appears to depend both on absolute frequency and relative frequency of stimulation within each modality. 相似文献

A novel reaction involving the halide-induced rearrangement of ligands within supramolecular Rh(I) complexes containing hemilabile ligands is presented. Three analogous bis- and trishemilabile ligands have been synthesized to construct bi- and trimetallic Rh(I) macrocyclic complexes. An intentionally added halide source results in the formal rotation of only one hemilabile ligand along the axis that is perpendicular to the plane defined by the aryl backbone of the hemilabile ligands.
