Salts of α-cyanoacrylic acid with sterically hindered tertiary amines

Syntheses are reported for representatives of a new class of derivatives of -cyanoacrylic acid, namely, its salts with brucine, tert-butyldimethylamine, and diisopropylmethylamine.A. N. Stoichiometric and catalytic methods of asymmetric synthesis of nonproteinogenic α-and β-amino acids via transition metal coordination compounds

The complexes of glycine, -alanine, and -alanine with (S)-[N-(N-benzylprolyl)amino] benzophenone formed by Ni(II) and Cu(II) ions and Schiff bases enter into different nucleophilic and electrophilic reactions with the formation of diastereoisomeric complexes which decompose into proteinogenic and nonproteinogenic L-amino acids with a high chemical yield and elevated optical purity (70–90%). Optically pure amino acids can be obtained from diastereoisomerically pure complexes after the complexes are separated by recrystallization of the mixture of diastereoisomeric complexes formed. A new type of interphase catalysts of C-alkylation of achiral Schiff bases was proposed. The catalysts are positively charged Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of Schiff bases of chiral diamines. In some cases, these complexes have a higher activity and capacity to execute asymmetric alkylation than traditional chiral interphase catalysts based on cinchonidine.Based on materials in the section report by Yu. Stressed state of an elastic plane weakened by a narrow slot with partly closed edges

An elastic plane weakened by a narrow rectilinear slot with rounded ends is considered. The plane is compressed by force P at angle a to the slot axis and with force P in the perpendicular direction. Central areas of the slot edges close under the action of compression. Their reaction in relation to the ratio of parameters of the problem has the nature of sticking together or Coulomb friction. Multivariate probabilistic approximation in wavelet structure

A note on differentiability of the cluster density for independent percolation in high dimensions

The cluster density function of independent percolation in ad-dimensional lattice is considered. For eachn, it is shown that(p) has finitenth leftderivative at critical probabilityp _c ifd is sufficiently large. This result agrees with the Bethe lattice approximation, where thenth one-sided derivative of(p) is bounded atp _c for alln.
