Ultrafine carbon black (ufCB) is a potential hazard to the lung. It causes changes in protein expression and it increases alveolar-capillary permeability in the lung. Label-free quantitative proteomic methods allow a sensitive and accurate analytical method for identifying and quantifying proteins in a protein mixture without chemically modifying the proteins. We used a label-free quantitative proteomic approach that combined and aligned LC-MS and LC-MS/MS spectra to analyze mouse bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) protein changes associated with exposure to ufCB. We developed a simple normalization method for quantification without spiking the internal standard. The intensities of unchanged peptides were used as normalization factors based on a statistical method to avoid the influence of peptides changed because of ufCB. LC-MS/MS spectra and then database searching were used to identify proteins. The relative abundances of the aligned peptides of identified proteins were determined using LC-MS spectra. We identified 132 proteins, of which 77 are reported for the first time. In addition, the expression of 15 inflammatory proteins and surfactant-associated proteins was regulated (i.e., 7 upregulated and 8 downregulated) compared with the controls. Several proteins not previously reported provide complementary information on the proteins present in mouse BALF, and they are potential biomarkers for the understanding of mechanisms involved in ufCB-induced lung disorders hypothesize that using the label-free quantitative proteomic approach introduced here is well suited for more rigorous, large-scale quantitative analysis of biological samples. Rapidly photocrosslinkable and thermosensitive polyphosphazene polymers have been prepared to overcome the limitations associated with long UV exposure. Short UV exposure on the thermosensitive gels under mild conditions leads to quick photocrosslinking of the acrylate groups in the polymer network, and results in a dual crosslinked network with enhanced mechanical strength. The accelerated photocrosslinking can be attributed to the high reactivity of the acrylate double bond and hydrophobic interactions in the polymer network. The effects on the degree of photocrosslinking of the UV light intensity and the concentration of the photoinitiator were studied. In vitro and in vivo photocrosslinkings were accomplished within 120 and 180 s of exposure times, respectively. The degradation rate of the polymers depended on the degree of acrylate substitution in the polymer network. These results demonstrate that the injectable hydrogels with desired mechanical properties and degradation rates can be created in situ under mild photocrosslinkable conditions, and the dual crosslinkable acrylated poly(organophosphazenes) may hold great promise for biomedical delivery applications of biological molecules, cells, and drugs.

Self-made TiO2 nanoparticles were used as photoelectrode material of dye sensitized solar cell. The TiO2 thin film coats through spreading nanoparticles evenly onto the ITO glass via self-made spin-heat platform, and then TiO2 thin film is soaked in the dye N-719 more than 12 h to prepare the photoelectrode device. The TiO2 nanoparticles produced by electric-discharge-nanofluid-process have premium anatase crystal property, and its diameter can be controlled within a range of 20-50 nm. The surface energy zeta potential of nanofluid is from -22 mV to -28.8 mV, it is a stable particle suspension in the deionized water. A trace of surfactant Triton X-100 put upon the surface of ITO glass can produce a uniform and dense TiO2 thin film and heating up the spin platform to 200 oC is able to eliminate mixed surfac-tant. Self-made TiO2 film presents excellent dye absorption performance and even doesn't need heat treatment procedure to enhance essential property. Results of energy analysis show the thicker film structure will increase the short-circuit current density that causes higher conversion efficiency. But, as the film structure is large and thick, both the open-circuit voltage and fill factor will decline gradually to lead bad efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cell. 相似文献

A new ionic liquid (IL)–graphene composite prepared by combining IL and a three-dimensional graphene material with large specific surface area and pronounced mesoporosity was used for ultratrace trinitrotoluene detection, showing low background current, high sensitivity of 1.65 μA cm?2 per ppb, low detection limit of 0.5 ppb and good reproducibility, which is much superior to that demonstrated by the IL–CNT and IL–graphite composites. The central CdII ion adopts a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by two pyridyl N atoms of two ligands, two S atoms of two other ligands and two chloride ligands. The thiosemicarbazide ligands act as bridges, linking the metal ions into a two‐dimensional layered structure parallel to the bc plane. In this study, stable and homogenous thin films of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were obtained on conducting surface
using ciprofloxacin (CF, fluoroquinolone antibiotic) as an effective-dispersing agent. Further, MWCNTs/CF film modified electrodes
(glassy carbon and indium tin oxide-coated glass electrode) are used successfully to study the direct electrochemistry of
proteins. Here, cytochrome C (Cyt-C) was used as a model protein for investigation. A MWCNTs/CF film modified electrode was
used as a biocompatible material for immobilization of Cyt-C from a neutral buffer solution (pH 7.2) using cyclic voltammetry
(CV). Interestingly, Cyt-C retained its native state on the MWCNTs/CF film. The Cyt-C adsorbed MWCNTs/CF film was characterized
by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV–visible spectrophotometry (UV-vis) and CV. SEM images showed the evidence for the
adsorption of Cyt-C on the MWCNTs/CF film, and UV–vis spectrum confirmed that Cyt-C was in its native state on MWCNTs/CF film.
Using CV, it was found that the electrochemical signal of Cyt-C was highly stable in the neutral buffer solution and its redox
peak potential was pH dependent. The formal potential (−0.27 V) and electron transfer rate constant (13 ± 1 s−1) were calculated for Cyt-C on MWCNTs/CF film modified electrode. A potential application of the Cyt-C/MWCNTs/CF electrode
as a biosensor to monitor H2O2 has been investigated. The steady-state current response increases linearly with H2O2 concentration from 2 × 10−6 to 7.8 × 10−5 M. The detection limit for determination of H2O2 has been found to be 1.0 × 10−6 M (S/N = 3). The multi-compound ZITO transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films were synthesized using the sol–gel method. The ZITO
thin films with various volume ratios of ZnO to ITO (1:1, 2:1 and 9:1) were crystallized at different temperatures (600–700 °C).
The results showed that the crystalline characteristics and optical transmittance were mainly dependent on ITO content and
crystallization. Notably, the 650 °C Z9ITO film not only had better conductivity but also possessed excellent optical transmittance. In addition, the surface roughness
of the ZITO films and optoelectric properties of IZO (indium doped ZnO) films were analyzed to confirm the contribution of
indium dopants on the optical transmittance. Also, the ZITO films were subjected to the effects of indium and tin dopants
