Angular and energy correlations betweenα-particles and deep-inelastic projectile-like fragments were measured for the system36Ar+197Au atE Lab=380 MeV. At most half of the coincident events can be attributed to statistical emission ofα-particles from the fully accelerated projectile-like fragments. The remainder of the events may be due to direct emission during the first 10?22 s of the scattering process and to preequilibrium processes taking place within some 10?21 s.  相似文献

Saturation properties of the dyes in the presence of excited-state absorption and amplified spontaneous emission in the dye are studied theoretically. In the analysis the above two effects are included separately and it is shown that they are deleterious to the pulse-shortening capabilities of the dyes. It is also shown that in the conventional single-pass shortening of laser pulses with saturable dyes large pulse shortening ratios (20) may be expected if the dye saturation is combined with a properly delayed dye generation.  相似文献

Summary The wave propagation direction of microturbulence in a tokamak plasma has been accurately measured by application of a new homodyne spectroscopy technique. This method has been used in conjunction with a collective far-infrared laser scattering experiment on TEXT. The low-frequency density fluctuations are observed to propagate primarily in the electron diamagnetic drift direction, however, the broadband spectra also possess an appreciable level of fluctuations traveling in the ion drift direction. Application of the homodyne spectroscopy technique represents an inexpensive and easily implemented alternative to the more technically demanding heterodyne schemes available in the far-infrared.  相似文献

In a experiment at the CERN SPS charged hyperon beam using incident Ξ?, we have obtained evidence for the production of two Ω* resonances decaying into Ξ?π+ K ?, with the following parameters:M 1=2251±12,Γ 1=48±20 MeV/c2, 78 ±23 events, andM 2=2284±12,Γ 2=26±23 MeV/c2 45±10 events. The first state is also observed as a 4.2σ effect in a subsample which contains an additionalK + orK 0 in the final state. Production cross sections and branching ratios to Ξ* K ? and Ξ? The validity of local parton-hadron duality within the framework of HERWIG and JETSET event generators is investigated. We concentrate one + e annihilations in LEP 2 energy range as these interactions provide theoretically the cleanest condition for the discussion of this concept. We conclude that the concept of local parton-hadron duality is not valid in either of the two generators considered.  相似文献

Experimental and theoretical investigations are reported on the effects induced by an alternating magnetic field on coherent population trapping resonances. We show that the ac magnetic field produces sidebands of these resonances in such a way that the spectrum observed is similar to those observed via the FM spectroscopic technique. Because of the very narrow linewidth of the resonances, sidebands are resolved even for ac field frequencies as low as a fraction of a kHz. The theoretical model developed, which takes into account a very simple atomic structure, fits the experimental data quite well.  相似文献

Single pi(0) photoproduction has been studied with the CB-ELSA experiment at Bonn using tagged photon energies between 0.3 and 3.0 GeV. The experimental setup covers a very large solid angle of approximately 98% of 4pi. Differential cross sections dsigma/dOmega have been measured. Complicated structures in the angular distributions indicate a variety of different resonances being produced in the s channel intermediate state gammap-->N(*)(Delta(*))-->ppi(0). A combined analysis including the data presented in this letter along with other data sets reveals contributions from known resonances and evidence for a new resonance N(2070)D15.  相似文献

Self-assembled strain-free quantum dot (QD) structures were grown on AlGaAs surface by the droplet epitaxal method. The QDs were developed from pure Ga droplets under As pressure. The QDs were investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Both techniques show that the QDs are very uniform in size and their distribution on the surface is also homogeneous. The high resolution cross-sectional TEM investigation shows perfect lattice matching between the QD and the substrate, and also the faceting of the side walls of QD can be identified exactly by lattice planes. Analytical TEM (elemental mapping by EELS) unambiguously identifies the presence of Al in the QD.  相似文献

Coincidences between two heavy fragments have been measured from the fission of 56Ni compound nuclei formed in the 32S + 24Mg reaction at E lab( ^32S ) = 165.4 MeV. A unique experimental set-up consisting of two large-area position-sensitive (x, y) gas detector telescopes has been used allowing the complete determination of the observed fragments and their momentum vectors. In addition to binary fission events with subsequent particle evaporation, narrow out-of-plane correlations are observed for two fragments emitted in purely binary events and in events with a missing charge consisting of 2α - and 3α -particles (12C). These events are interpreted as ternary cluster decay from 56Ni nuclei at high angular momenta through hyper-deformed shapes.  相似文献
