Divalent tin fluorides and chloride fluorides appear to be stable relative to oxidation to tetravalent tin at ambient temperature. X-ray diffraction shows only the line of the tin(II) compound, however the 119Sn Mössbauer spectrum of all tin(II) polycrystalline samples has a small broad peak at ca. 0 mm/s. This is the case of polycrystalline α ?SnF2, while the spectrum of a large single crystal polished sufficiently thin shows only the tin(II) doublet, with no SnO2 peak at 0 mm/s. This shows that there is surface oxidation of each solid particle, to give a thin amorphous layer of SnO2 stannic oxide. However, the Mössbauer peak of SnO2 does not grow with prolonged exposure to air at ambient temperature, therefore it must be assumed that the layer of SnO2 has a passivating effect, however oxidation increases at higher temperatures. We have investigated in this work the passivating effect of a layer of SnO2 in two types of solid solutions: (i) in the fluorite type M1?xSnxF2, where the amount of tin at low x values is not sufficient to provide full coverage of the surface of the particles, and (ii) in the PbClF type doubly disordered solid solution, Ba1?xSnxCl1+yF1?y. It was found that passivation works well in the M1?xSnxF2 solid solution, however most of the time, it does not work so well for Ba1?xSnxCl1+yF1?y where it is strongly dependent on the method of preparation and the bonding strength, as shown by the variation versus the tin(II) recoil-free fraction.  相似文献

The combination of pharmacologic and endoscopic therapies is the gold standard for treating intestinal failures. The possibility of chemical solubility in water is mandatory for intelligent capsules. Functionalised silk fibroin with peptides and covalently linking different molecular entities to its structure make this protein a platform for preparing gels dissolving in the small and large intestine for drug delivery. In the present study, we linked a peptide containing the cell-adhesive motif Arginine–Glycine–Aspartic acid (RGD) to degummed silk fibres (DSF). Regenerated silk fibroin (RS) films obtained by dissolving functionalised DSF in formic acid were used to prepare composite gelatin. We show that such composite gelatin remains stable and elastic in the simulated gastric fluid (SGF) but can dissolve in the small and large intestines’ neutral-pH simulated intestine fluid (SIF). These findings open up the possibility of designing microfabricated and physically programmable scaffolds that locally promote tissue regeneration, thanks to bio-enabled materials based on functionalised regenerated silk.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine the variability of several chemical compounds and the antioxidant and antimicrobial activities of eight types of berries harvested from two different geographical regions in the same year. The analyses were performed on bilberry, black currant, gooseberry, red currant, raspberry, sea buckthorn, strawberry and sour cherry, which were handpicked during the summer of 2019, in the same periods when they are typically harvested for consumer purposes. Total anthocyanins content (TAC), total flavonoids content (TFC), total polyphenolic compounds (TPC), determination of the Ferric-Reducing Antioxidant Power (FRAP), determination of the DPPH free radical scavenging assay (RSA), determination of nine phenolic compounds by HPLC-UV assay and antimicrobial activity were determined for undiluted hydroalcoholic extracts of all the studied berries. The results showed that the berries from Romania were richer in antioxidant compounds than the berries from Russia. The TPC content varied between 4.13–22.2 mg GAE/g d.w., TFC between 3.33–8.87 mg QE/g d.w. and TAC between 0.13–3.94 mg/g d.w. The highest variability was determined for TPC. Regarding the antioxidant activity assessed by FRAP assay, values were between 6.02–57.23 µmols TE/g d.w. and values for the RSA method between 18.44–83.81%. From the eight types of berries analyzed, bilberries and raspberries had the highest antioxidant activity considering both regions and both determination methods. Not only the type, but also the environmental and cultivation conditions in which the berries grow, can lead to variations in their chemical composition. The extracted polyphenolic compounds from the studied berries showed antibacterial properties on pathogens, such as Escherichia coli, Bacillus subtilis and Staphyloccocus aureus. The inhibitory action on Salmonella typhi and fungi Candida albicans and Aspegillus niger was absent to very low. The antimicrobial activity of the hydroalcoholic extracts was dependent on the provenance of the berries, too.  相似文献

The simultaneous capture and detection of biomolecules is crucial for revolutionizing bioanalytical platforms in terms of portability, response time and cost-efficiency. Herein, we demonstrate how the sensitivity to external stimuli and changes in the local electronic environment of silver clusters lead to an advantageous biosensing platform based on the fluorometric response of bioactive luminescent silver clusters (BioLuSiC) confined in faujasite X zeolites functionalized with antibodies. The photoluminescence response of BioLuSiC was enhanced upon immunocomplex formation, empowering a wash-free and quick biodetection system offering optimal results from 5 min. Proteins and pathogens (immunoglobulin G and Escherichia coli) were targeted to demonstrate the biosensing performance of BioLuSiC, and a human serum titration assay was also established. BioLuSiC will pave the way for innovative bioanalytical platforms, including real-time monitoring systems, point-of-care devices and bioimaging techniques.  相似文献

Cyclodextrins and nanomaterials are widely used in the achievement of powerful platforms in supramolecular chemistry and nanotechnology. The relatively hydrophobic internal cavity of the CDs selectively retains molecules having the proper geometry, while the hydrophilic exterior allows CDs to improve the dispersibility and molecular recognition. The nanomaterials provide higher surface area, good conductivity, and electrocatalytic effect. The use of nanomaterials and CDs in electrochemical sensors’ design allows the development of a large variety of devices, explaining the increasing number of papers in the last years that are discussed in this review.  相似文献
