Microgel polymers containing a series of functional groups have been prepared. These microgels were composed of cross-linked poly(styrene) and were prepared by radical polymerization in solution. The microgel polymers exhibit good solubility in an array of different organic solvents, and in addition, they can be efficiently precipitated by the addition of methanol and isolated by filtration. A nine-member phthalide library was synthesized using an aminomethyl-functionalized microgel 5. To further demonstrate the versatility of these microgel polymers, tris(2-aminoethyl)amino microgel 11 was examined as a scavenger reagent to remove unreacted isocyanate after a urea synthesis. Finally, a microgel-supported ammonium borohydride reagent 14 was successfully prepared and used as a reducing agent. Notable features of these microgels are that in all applications the progress of the reaction could be monitored by standard NMR techniques and their preparation is performed using common glassware and techniques found in all organic laboratories.  相似文献

Chvátal raised the question whether or not planar hypohamiltonian graphs exist and Grünbaum conjectured the nonexistence of such graphs. We shall describe an infinite class of planar hypohamiltonian graphs and infinite classes of planar hypotraceable graphs of connectivity two (resp. three). Infinite hypohamiltonian (resp. htpotraceable) graphs are also described. It is shown how the study of infinite hypotraceable graphs leads to a new infinite family of finite hypotraceable graphs.  相似文献

We characterize weakly Hamiltonian-connected tournaments and weakly panconnected tournaments completely and we apply these results to cycles and bypasses in tournaments with given irregularity, in particular, in regular and almost regular tournaments. We give a sufficient condition in terms of local and global connectivity for a Hamiltonian path with prescribed initial and terminal vertex. From this result we deduce that every 4-connected tournament is strongly Hamiltonian-connected and that every edge of a 3-connected tournament is contained in a Hamiltonian cycle of the tournament and we describe infinite families of tournaments demonstrating that these results are best possible.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Various ferrocene-based organosilanols have been synthesized in four steps starting from achiral ferrocene carboxylic acid. Applying these novel planar-chiral ferrocenes as catalysts in asymmetric phenyl transfer reactions to substituted benzaldehydes afforded products with high enantiomeric excesses. The best result (91% ee) was achieved in the addition to p-chlorobenzaldehyde with organosilanol 2b, which has a tert-butyl substituent on the oxazoline ring and an isopropyl group on the silanol fragment.  相似文献

We propose an effective model for the superconducting transition in the high-T(c) cuprates motivated by the SU(2) gauge theory approach. In addition to variations of the superconducting phase we allow for local admixture of staggered flux order. This leads to an unbinding transition of vortices with a staggered flux core that are energetically preferable to conventional vortices. Based on parameter estimates for the two-dimensional t-J model we argue that the staggered flux vortices provide a way to understand a phase with a moderate density of mobile vortices over a large temperature range above T(c) that yet exhibits otherwise normal transport properties. This picture is consistent with the large Nernst signal observed in this region.  相似文献
