A second-order multivariate calibration approach, based on a combination of PARAFAC with time-resolved room temperature phosphorescence (RTP), has been applied to resolve a binary mixture of Phenanthrene and 1,10-Phenanthroline, as model compounds. The RTP signals were obtained in aqueous β-cyclodextrin solutions, in the presence of several heavy atom containing compounds. No deoxygenation was necessary to obtain the phosphorescence signals, which adds simplicity to the method. The resolution of the model compounds was possible in base to the differences in the delay-time of the RTP signals of the investigated analytes, opening a new approach for second-order data generation and subsequent second order multivariate calibration.  相似文献

P‐type polypyrrole (PPy) films are deposited on glass and on n‐type polycrystalline ZnO (pc–ZnO) substrates by oxidative chemical vapor deposition under three different amounts of FeCl3 used as oxidizing agents to form hybrid heterojunctions. Their microstructure, morphology, and electrical characteristics are studied. Particularly, current–voltage characteristics of the PPy/pc–ZnO heterojunctions are analyzed by defining an electrical equivalent circuit. The extracted parameters, together with the estimated heterojunction barrier height and the HOMO energy level of the PPy, indicate that a thermionic emission of holes at the heterojunction determines the saturation current of the diode at low voltage. For larger FeCl3 amounts, the diode ideality factor increases indicating an increment of recombination by tunneling of charge carriers occurring at the heterojunction. This is attributed to a narrowing of the space charge region due to an increment of the number of charge carriers with a growing amount of FeCl3. At high voltages, the PPy thickness influences the ohmic and space–charge limited current mechanisms at the bulk region. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part B: Polym. A novel rearrangement has been found between oxazolidinethiones and acyl halides under N-acylation reaction conditions to afford N-substituted 2,4-thiazolidinediones and N-substituted 1,3-thiazinane-2,4-diones. The picosecond dynamics of a bifunctional and H-bonding molecule, 7-hydroxyquinoline (7HQ), has been studied in a reverse micelle with increasing water content. The fluorescence kinetics has a complex behavior as the water content is changed. All reactions are irreversible, and a two-step mechanism is invoked to explain the observations. H2O/D2O exchange and excitation energy effects show that the second step has a higher barrier and that the corresponding reaction occurs through tunneling. The results clearly indicate two regimes of water nanopool behavior switching at W0 approximately 5 (W0 = [water]/[surfactant]). Water collective dynamics explains these observations. The lower fluidity of confined water within the reverse micelle with respect to normal bulk water alters the related H-bond network dynamics and therefore is responsible for the slower proton-transfer processes.  相似文献

A program has been developed and initiated at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) for the utilization of SQUID sensors in various application areas. DC SQUID sensors based on Nb-AlO x -Nb Josephson junctions have been designed and developed inhouse along with associated flux-locked loop (FLL) electronics. A compact low field SQUID magnetometer insertible in a liquid helium storage dewar has also been developed inhouse and is in use. Efforts to build a high field SQUID magnetometer, SQUID-DAC system, are in progress. A planar gradiometric DC SQUID sensor for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) application to be used in relatively unshielded environment has been designed and developed. An easily portable NDE cryostat with a small lift-off distance, to be used in external locations has been designed and tested. The magnetic field produced by a given two-dimensional current density distribution is inverted using the Fourier transform technique.  相似文献

Summary: Submicron core-shell particles of polystyrene (PS) and polystyrene-co-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS-co-PMMA) coated with PMMA were obtained by emulsion photopolymerization. The seeds of PS or PS-co-PMMA were prepared by emulsion polymerization with or without emulsifier and a ratio of functional monomer and crosslinker (SVBS/EDGMA) in order to obtain different surfaces for the subsequent coating with PMMA. At each stage, the evolution of the average particle size were monitored by using photon correlation spectroscopy (DLS) and the final polymer particles was analyzed via transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The core-shell morphology was identified as the increase of the average particle size in the second stage by DLS technique and by the direct observation by TEM of the differentiation between PS core and PMMA shell, and by the presence of two glass transition temperatures (Tg) as a consequence of the existence of two partially miscible phases.  相似文献
