A simple and direct spectrofluorimetric method has been developed for the determination of aluminum using alizarin red PS
(1,2,4-trihydroxy 9,10-anthraquinone-3-sulfonic acid). The method is based on the strong fluorescence (480/564 nm) of Al3+ and alizarin red. Experimental parameters such as pH, concentration of the ligand, ionic strength of the solution, reaction
time and temperature were optimized in order to maximize the analytical signal. Interferences of several ions (anions and
cations) were studied and evaluated. The linear range of the method extends from 3 to 100 μg L−1. Limit of detection (3sb) was 0.9 μg L−1. The method was tested with a silicate certified reference material. Interferences were eliminated by a liquid extraction
with cupferron.

This work aimed at modeling chromium biosorption using the biomass of seaweed Sargassum sp. in a fixed-bed column. The mathematical model used was obtained from the mass balance of the component in the liquid phase and in the biosorbent material. The effects of both axial dispersion in the column and the resistance to mass transfer in the solid were considered for the solution of the partial differential equations of the model, using the Galerkin method on finite elements. To represent the equilibrium data of the batch system the Langmuir isotherm were used. The chromium ion adsorption capacity of the seaweed Sargassum sp., at a temperature of 30°C and pH 3.5, was 2.61 mmol/g. The model performance was evaluated from experimental data obtained at 30°C for flow rates of 2, 6 and 8 mL/min. The parameters of the model, mass transfer and axial dispersion coefficients, were adjusted from these experimental data. The model proved adequate to describe chromium biosorption dynamics in fixed-bed columns. 相似文献

The spectral projected gradient method SPG is an algorithm for large-scale bound-constrained optimization introduced recently by Birgin, Martínez, and Raydan. It is based on the Raydan unconstrained generalization of the Barzilai-Borwein method for quadratics. The SPG algorithm turned out to be surprisingly effective for solving many large-scale minimization problems with box constraints. Therefore, it is natural to test its perfomance for solving the sub-problems that appear in nonlinear programming methods based on augmented Lagrangians. In this work, augmented Lagrangian methods which use SPG as the underlying convex-constraint solver are introduced (ALSPG) and the methods are tested in two sets of problems. First, a meaningful subset of large-scale nonlinearly constrained problems of the CUTE collection is solved and compared with the perfomance of LANCELOT. We have used time-differential perturbed angular correlation (PAC) spectroscopy with 181Ta-probes to study the electric field gradient at Zr-sites in synthetic zircon and hafnon between room temperature and 1,200°C. PAC spectra are similar to those obtained from naturally occurring zircons. In particular, a change in slope of the quadrupole coupling vs. temperature is observed in the synthetic zircon at the same temperature as seen in natural zircons from the Mud Tank carbonatite (Australia). The synthetic hafnon data also shows this feature but at somewhat higher temperature. Low-temperature PAC spectra of both synthetic zircon and hafnon have a clearly reduced anisotropy. We believe that the cause for this is a electronic defect, possibly created during the β-decay of the probe parent nucleus. 相似文献

In this paper we present spectroscopic properties of doped and undoped titanium dioxide (TiO2) as nanofilms prepared by the sol-gel process with rhodamine 6G doping and studied by photoacoustic absorption, excitation and emission spectroscopy. The absorption spectra of TiO2 thin films doped with rhodamine 6G at very low concentration during their preparation show two absorption bands, one at 2.3 eV attributed to molecular dimmer formation, which is responsible for the fluorescence quenching of the sample and the other at 3.0 eV attributed to TiO2 absorption, which subsequently yields a strong emission band at 600 nm. The electronic band structure and optical properties of the rutile phase of TiO2 are calculated employing a fully relativistic, full-potential, linearized, augmented plane-wave (FPLAPW) method within the local density approximation (LDA). Comparison of this calculation with experimental data for TiO2 films prepared for undoped sol-gels and by sputtering is performed. 相似文献

This paper re-assesses three independently developed approaches that are aimed at solving the problem of zero-weights or non-zero
slacks in Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The methods are weights restricted, non-radial and extended facet DEA models. Weights
restricted DEA models are dual to envelopment DEA models with restrictions on the dual variables (DEA weights) aimed at avoiding
zero values for those weights; non-radial DEA models are envelopment models which avoid non-zero slacks in the input-output
constraints. Finally, extended facet DEA models recognize that only projections on facets of full dimension correspond to
well defined rates of substitution/transformation between all inputs/outputs which in turn correspond to non-zero weights
in the multiplier version of the DEA model. We demonstrate how these methods are equivalent, not only in their aim but also
in the solutions they yield. In addition, we show that the aforementioned methods modify the production frontier by extending
existing facets or creating unobserved facets. Further we propose a new approach that uses weight restrictions to extend existing
facets. This approach has some advantages in computational terms, because extended facet models normally make use of mixed

A six level rate equation system was used to investigate the impact of photodepletion to amplified spontaneous emission (ASE)
of intramolecular proton-transfer (IPT) dyes incorporated into polymeric hosts. The model includes the most important transitions
for the normal and tautomer form of the molecule as well as intersystem crossing and triplet–triplet transitions. The experimentally
observed pulse shape as well as photodepletion phenomena, i.e. a first order exponential decay of the ASE intensity and a
shortening in ASE pulse width, have been simulated successfully. Additionally, the model was used to propose an explanation
of the unexpected high photodepletion of proton-transfer dyes in solids. The results show that the emission cross section
and reabsorption cross section of the tautomer form of the molecule are the most important parameter not only for efficiency
but also for photodepletion. The model was tested by comparison with experimental results of 2-(2’-hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole
in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), polystyrene (PS) and a 1:1 alternating copolymer matrix PS-co-PMMA.
