Three commercial TiO2 compounds (Degussa P25, Sachtleben UV100, and Millenium PC50) and their platinized forms have been studied by the time-resolved microwave conductivity (TRMC) method to follow their charge-carrier dynamics and to relate it to the photocatalytic activity for phenol degradation in TiO2 aqueous suspensions. The degradation reaction has been studied in detail, following the time evolution of the concentration of phenol and its intermediates by liquid chromatography. The results show that platinization has a distinct influence on the commercial compounds, decreasing globally the activity of P25 and increasing the activity of PC50 and UV100. An influence of charge-carrier lifetimes on the photoactivity of pure and platinized TiO2 samples has been evidenced. 相似文献

This study investigates the effects of different light qualities on the photosynthetic capacity of the brown algae Fucus vesiculosus, from the Norwegian Sea, and Fucus radicans and F. vesiculosus, from the Bothnian Sea. The electron transport rates (ETR) obtained for F. vesiculosus from the Norwegian Sea showed significantly higher levels of light saturation compared with both species of algae from the Bothnian Sea. The maximum of ETR values for the Norwegian Sea strain showed no significant changes due to varying light quality compared with the initial values. For F. vesiculosus, from the Bothnian Sea, treatment with blue light showed an effect after 1 week of 30 and 90 μmol photons m?2 s?1 (P < 0.01), and for F. radicans from the Bothnian Sea, at the irradiance of 90 μmol photons m?2 s?1 and 1 week (P < 0.01). After 1 week in the Bothnian Sea species and after 2 weeks in F. vesiculosus from the Norwegian Sea, the photosynthetic efficiency (α) was significantly higher regardless of light quality and irradiance compared with the initial values. Variation in light quality and irradiance had minor effects on the Fv:Fm values of the three algal strains studied. 相似文献

We study statistical models for one-dimensional diffusions which are null recurrent. A first parameter in the drift is the principal one, and determines regular varying rates of convergence for the score and the information process. A finite number of other parameters, of secondary importance, introduces additional flexibility for the modelization of the drift, and does not perturb the null recurrent behaviour. Under time-continuous observation we obtain local asymptotic mixed normality, state a local asymptotic minimax bound, and specify asymptotically optimal estimators. 相似文献

Scientific collaboration between neuroscience and mathematics education has mostly focused on brain imaging trying to inform education. This study aims at meeting expectations of both research fields, thus enhancing the ecological validity. We investigated the influence of age, mathematical competency, and task characteristics (format, complexity) on students’ arithmetic performance. Based on behavioral data from a pilot study (n = 73), arithmetic tasks were chosen for a subsequent investigation (n = 90), in which parietal brain activation was measured with near-infrared spectroscopy. Substantial group differences in calculation time were observed. While task characteristics influenced arithmetic performance in both age groups, this influence was much smaller for grade 8 students. However, parietal brain activation during calculation was not affected by age, mathematical competency, or task characteristics. Limitations of the experimental design and general problems of applying imaging methods to the school context are discussed. 相似文献

Replacement of sp2-hybridized carbon in polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by boron affords electron-deficient π-scaffolds due to the vacant pz-orbital of three-coordinate boron with the potential for pronounced electronic interactions with electron-rich metal surfaces. Using a diboraperylene diborinic acid derivative as precursor and a controlled on-surface non-covalent synthesis approach, we report on a self-assembled chiral supramolecular kagome network on an Ag(111) surface stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions at low temperature. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) reveal a flat band at ca. 0.33 eV above the Fermi level which is localized at the molecule center, in good agreement with tight-binding model calculations of flat bands characteristic for kagome lattices. 相似文献

Post-polymerization modification provides an elegant way to introduce chemical functionalities onto macromolecules to produce tailor-made materials with superior properties. This concept was adapted to well-defined block copolymers of the poly(2-oxazoline) family and demonstrated the large potential of these macromolecules as universal toolkit for numerous applications. Triblock copolymers with separated water-soluble, alkyne- and alkene-containing segments were synthesized and orthogonally modified with various low-molecular weight functional molecules by copper(I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) and thiol-ene (TE) click reactions, respectively.
