Electrochemical DNA biosensors have become strong candidates for DNA based analysis. Allele-specific genotyping is also one of the important research areas, where electrochemical approaches provide promising advances. The structural changes induced in a silica-titania mixed-oxide support (1:1 molar ratio) by chlorine addition at different loading levels, their relation to the structural characteristics of supported MoOx species over the support, and their correlation with ethane oxidative dehydrogenation (ODH) activity have been examined. The molybdenum and chlorine precursors are incorporated into the Si/Ti support network as it forms during gelation by using a "one-pot" modified sol-gel/coprecipitation technique. In situ X-ray diffraction during calcination shows the Si/Ti 1:1 mixed-oxide support is in a state of nanodispersed anatase titania over amorphous silica. With the addition of molybdenum and chlorine modifier, this anatase feature becomes more pronounced, indicating a decreased dispersion of titania. The effective titania surface area on the chlorine-doped Si:Ti support obtained from 2-propanol temperature-programmed reaction supports this observation. Raman spectra of dehydrated samples point to an enhanced interaction of MoOx species with silica at the expense of titania. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic results show that, without forming a molybdenum chloride, the presence of chlorine significantly alters the relative surface concentration of Si vs Ti, the electronic structure of the surface MoOx species, and the oxygen environment around supported MoOx species in the Si/Ti network. Secondary ion mass spectrometry detected the existence of SiCl fragments from the mass spectra, which provides molecular insight into the location of chlorine in Mo/Si:Ti catalysts. The observed increase in ethane ODH selectivity with chlorine modification may be ascribed to the MoOx species sharing more complex ligands with silica and titania with the indirect participation of chlorine. Steady-state isotopic transient kinetic analysis (SSITKA) is used to to examine the oxygen insertion and exchange mechanisms. The catalysts show very little oxygen exchange with the gas phase in the absence of a reaction medium. During the steady-state ODH reaction, lattice oxygen appears to be the primary source of oxygen in the formation of water and CO2.  相似文献

The [2 + 2] cycloadditions of cyclopentyne and benzyne to ethylene are explored at the B3LYP and CASSCF levels, supplemented by CCSD(T) and CAS-MP2 calculations at the stationary points. The biradical path in the benzyne system is computed to be about 4.1 kcal/mol lower than the concerted path, consistent with the experimentally observed loss of original stereochemistry in this cycloaddition. However, computations fail to confirm the 99% stereoretention in the corresponding reaction of cyclopentyne. The concerted and biradical paths in the latter reaction are found to involve nearly isoenergetic barriers, thus predicting only about 75% stereoretention. More sophisticated theoretical methods seem to be needed to resolve the issue in the cyclopentyne system.  相似文献

Variation of the lattice parameters of TlTl1‐xInxSe2 chain mixed crystals with composition have been studied by X‐ray diffraction technique. The lattice anisotropy ( c/a ) of the TlBX2‐type mixed crystals changes linearly with substitution of the atoms located both at the center and at the vertices of the BX4 tetrahedra. A brief survey of the important features of the effect of isomorphic atom substitution on the lattice anisotropy of TlBX2‐type mixed crystals with chain structure has been presented.  相似文献

Coumestrol (3,9-dihydroxy-6-benzofuran [3,2-c] chromenone) as a phytoestrogen and polyphenolic compound is a member of the Coumestans family and is quite common in plants. In this study, antiglaucoma, antidiabetic, anticholinergic, and antioxidant effects of Coumestrol were evaluated and compared with standards. To determine the antioxidant activity of coumestrol, several methods—namely N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride radical (DMPD•+)-scavenging activity, 2,2′-azinobis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulphonate) radical (ABTS•+)-scavenging activity, 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH)-scavenging activity, potassium ferric cyanide reduction ability, and cupric ion (Cu2+)-reducing activity—were performed. Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), Trolox, α-Tocopherol, and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) were used as the reference antioxidants for comparison. Coumestrol scavenged the DPPH radical with an IC50 value of 25.95 μg/mL (r2: 0.9005) while BHA, BHT, Trolox, and α-Tocopherol demonstrated IC50 values of 10.10, 25.95, 7.059, and 11.31 μg/mL, respectively. When these results evaluated, Coumestrol had similar DPPH-scavenging effect to BHT and lower better than Trolox, BHA and α-tocopherol. In addition, the inhibition effects of Coumestrol were tested against the metabolic enzymes acetylcholinesterase (AChE), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE), carbonic anhydrase II (CA II), and α-glycosidase, which are associated with some global diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), glaucoma, and diabetes. Coumestrol exhibited Ki values of 10.25 ± 1.94, 5.99 ± 1.79, 25.41 ± 1.10, and 30.56 ± 3.36 nM towards these enzymes, respectively.  相似文献

Liquid chromatography (LC) is a separation technique used in many different areas to aid the identification and quantification of substances in various matrices. LC techniques with various detection modes have been widely used for the sensitive and selective determination of trace amounts of pharmaceutical active compounds in biological samples and their dosage forms. A completely new system design with advanced technology has been developed, called ultra high performance liquid chromatography, which has evolved from high performance liquid chromatography. The application of LC methods to drug analysis introduces a powerful tool for therapeutic drug monitoring as well as for clinical research. The advantages of short turnaround time, method reliability, method sensitivity, and drug specificity justify the use of LC techniques for various groups of the drug active compounds. This review describes some of the principles of ultra high performance liquid chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography, validation of these methods, system suitability tests for the methods, and application of methods to pharmaceutical analysis in the last 3 years.  相似文献

A sensitive, simple, rapid, experimentally convenient, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and high-throughput green chemistry by capillary electrophoresis (CE) approach for the determination of eight polyphenolics frequently found in red wines from USA was carried without using toxic organic modifier. Several parameters which affect the separation were investigated to determine the optimum conditions. At room temperature, the eight polyphenolics could be well separated within 15 min in a 55-cm length capillary at a separation voltage of 26 kV with 40-mM borate buffer (pH 8.9). The method was fully validated showing satisfactory data for all method validation parameters tested. The limits of detection varied from 0.15 to 0.32 µM. The relative standard deviations of migration varied from 0.208 to 0.630 %. The Californian red wine samples analyzed were bought in the local markets, and the polyphenolic compound recoveries were in the range of 98–99.7 %. The method was successfully applied to the determination of the studied polyphenolics in red wine samples with satisfactory recoveries. Catechin, syringic acid, apigenin, myricetin, luteolin, quercetin, caffeic acid, and gallic acid were detected in all samples, with gallic acid and myricetin occurring in the highest concentration.

The important roles of food packaging are food protection and preservation during processing, transportation, and storage. Food can be altered biologically, chemically, and physically if the packaging is unsuitable or mechanically damaged. Furthermore, packaging is an important marketing and communication tool to consumers. Due to the worldwide problem of environmental pollution by microplastics and the large amounts of unused food wastes and by-products from the food industry, it is important to find more environmentally friendly alternatives. Edible and functional food packaging may be a suitable alternative to reduce food waste and avoid the use of non-degradable plastics. In the present review, the production and assessment of edible food packaging from food waste as well as fruit and vegetable by-products and their applications are demonstrated. Innovative food packaging made of biopolymers and biocomposites, as well as active packaging, intelligent packaging, edible films, and coatings are covered.  相似文献
