[reaction: see text] A new method to facilitate the separation of diastereomeric syn- and anti-1,3-diols is described. The method relies on the different hydrolysis rates of the corresponding diastereomeric acetonides. Treatment of a dichloromethane solution of syn- and anti-1,3-diol-acetonide with a catalytic amount of diluted aqueous hydrochloric acid leads to the selective cleavage of the anti diastereomer. The resulting anti-1,3-diol can be easily separated from the unchanged syn-1,3-diol-acetonide.  相似文献

Exchange of one PCy3 unit of the classical Grubbs catalyst 1 by N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands leads to "second-generation" metathesis catalysts of superior reactivity and increased stability. Several complexes of this type have been prepared and fully characterized, six of them by X-ray crystallography. These include the unique chelate complexes 13 and 14 in which the NHC- and the Ru-CR entities are tethered to form a metallacycle. A particularly favorable design feature is that the reactivity of such catalysts can be easily adjusted by changing the electronic and steric properties of the NHC ligands. The catalytic activity also strongly depends on the solvent used; NMR investigations provide a tentative explanation of this effect. Applications of the "second-generation" catalysts to ring closing alkene metathesis and intramolecular enyne cycloisomerization reactions provide insights into their catalytic performance. From these comparative studies it is deduced that no single catalyst is optimal for different types of applications. The search for the most reactive catalyst for a specific transformation is facilitated by IR thermography allowing a rapid and semi-quantitative ranking among a given set of catalysts.  相似文献

Exact spin-pairing energies are calculated by direct diagonalization of the relevant ligand field plus interelectronic repulsion matrices for the configurations d 4, d 5, d 6, and d 7 of octahedral transition metal ions. The results are presented in terms of /B as function of = C/B for the range of values =3.0 to 8.0. Comparison with the quantity resulting from a simplified approach in which configuration interaction is neglected or considered on an approximate basis only reveals significant differences. Useful estimates of spin-pairing energies are provided, in addition, on the basis of empirical magnetic and electronic spectral data.
Zusammenfassung Exakte Spinpaarungsenergien für die Konfigurationen d 4, d 5, d 6 und d 7 oktaedrischer Übergangsmetallionen werden durch direkte Diagonalisierung der entsprechenden Matrizen des Ligandenfeldes sowie der Elektronenwechselwirkung berechnet. Die Ergebnisse für /B werden in Abhängigkeit von = C/B für den Wertebereich =3.0 bis 8.0 angegeben. Ein Vergleich mit der Größe , die bei einer vereinfachten Behandlung unter Vernachlässigung oder näherungsweiser Berücksichtigung der Konfigurationswechselwirkung erhalten wird, zeigt auffallende Unterschiede. Nützliche Abschätzungen der Spinpaarungsenergie werden außerdem unter Benutzung empirischer magnetischer und elektronenspektroskopischer Daten erhalten.

Résumé Les énergies exactes de couplage de spin sont calculées par diagonalisation directe du champ de ligand correspondant en plus des matrices de répulsion électronique pour les configurations d 4, d 5, d 6 et d 7 des ions octaédriques des métaux de transition. Les résultats sont présentés en termes de /B en fonction de = C/B dan l'intervalle =3,0 à 8,0. On trouve des différences significatives par comparaison de avec les valeurs résultant d'une approche simplifiée sans interaction de configuration ou avec interaction de configuration approchée. De plus, des estimations des énergies de couplage de spin sont obtenues à partir de données empiriques magnétiques et spectrales.

Hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposites containing uniform distributions of metal nanoparticles have been prepared by mixing a preformed nanoparticle colloid with the precursors of a ureasil, prior to the sol-gel transition. These nanocomposites possess not only high optical quality and optical features dictated by the size and shape of the nanoparticle dopants but also a high degree of flexibility, which can largely enhance the range of applications in practical devices. The deposition of a uniform silica shell on the nanoparticle surface prior to the sol-gel transition was found to be required to maintain the colloidal stability during the process and, thus, to retain the optical properties in the final nanocomposite material. This method can be readily extended to other materials, such as semiconductor and magnetic nanoparticles.  相似文献

The addition of diazomethane and diazoethane to (5S,SS)- and (5R,SS)-5-ethoxy-3-p-tolylsulfinylfuran-2(5H)-ones (1a and 1b) and their 4-methylderivatives (2a and 2b) proceeded in almost quantitative yields and complete regioselectivity. The observed pi-facial selectivity is determined by the configurations at both C-5 and the sulfinyl group, the later being the most important. The syn adducts were almost exclusively obtained from 1a and 2a in apolar solvents but the pi-facial selectivity was strongly decreased in more polar solvents. On the other hand, the major adducts from 1b and 2b were the anti ones and such predominance was slightly increased with solvent polarity. The exo-selectivity was complete in all the cases except for the anti approach to compounds 2a (in polar solvents) and 2b. The role of the sulfinyl group in this behavior was inferred by comparison of these results with those obtained in reactions of diazoalkanes with 5-methoxyfuran-2(5H)-one (3). Steric interactions seem to be the main ones responsible for the observed exo selectivity of reactions with diazoethane, but electronic factors, which can be modulated by the solvent, are also significant in the pi-facial selectivity control. DFT computational methods are able to correctly predict the reactivity, regioselectivity, and pi-facial selectivity exhibited by 5-alkoxyfuranones as well as their changes with the solvent polarity. A C-H.O hydrogen bond, involving the oxygen atom of the 5-alkoxy group at dipolarophiles and the endo-hydrogen atom at dipoles, seems to play a key role in the electronic interactions influencing the stereochemical course of these reactions.  相似文献

The actual mobilities and dissociation constants of acidic and basic pharmaceuticals were determined in methanol. Actual mobilities were derived from the dependence of the effective mobilities of the analytes on the pH of the methanolic background electrolyte solution (pH(MeOH)). The pKa values of the pharmaceuticals in methanol (pK(a,MeOH)) were calculated by non-linear curve fitting to the measured mobility values. It was found that the shift in pKa value (when compounds were transferred from water to methanol) increased with the acidity of the analyte. The average pKa shift for compounds exhibiting acidic properties in water was ca. 5.5 units, and the shift for basic compounds about 2 units. As was shown for a mixture of beta-blockers, the calculated actual mobilities and pKa values can be utilised in the optimisation of pH conditions for separation. The practical value of the method was illustrated by the analysis of urine samples.  相似文献

The host-guest interaction between orthophosphate, pyrophosphate and triphosphate anions and four cyclen based bis-macrocycles ligands possessing ortho-(BOC), meta-(BMC), para-xylenyl (BPC) or 2,6-pyridinyl (BPyC) linker was investigated by potentiometric measurements and NMR spectroscopy. Each ligand gave protonated species in aqueous solution that further formed ternary complexes after binding with anions; these complexes were analyzed as a result of hydrogen bond formation and Coulombic attraction between the organic host and the inorganic guest. The equilibrium constants for all the detected species are reported and the selectivity, illustrated with species distribution diagrams, is discussed. The results unambiguously showed the importance of the distance between the two cyclen cores and underlined, especially for the triphosphate species, the contribution of the nitrogen atom of the pyridinyl spacer as a supplementary anchoring point in acidic medium.  相似文献

We have studied the adsorption on a platinum (Pt) catalyst of two compounds utilizable as a chiral basic catalyst and a chiral modifier, dihydrocinchonidine (DHCD), and a new cinchona alkaloid derivative containing a bulky group, the Ph3SiO-DHCD molecule. The method of choice was the detection by electrospray ionization (ESI) ion-trap tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) of hydrogen/deuterium (H/D) exchange at room temperature, in tetrahydrofuran, at a D2 pressure of 1 bar. Based on the ESI-MS/MS spectrum of the new compound, we propose a mechanism for the formation of the silatropylium cation containing a Si-O bond. From the fragmentation pattern of Ph3SiO-DHCD it was confirmed that ESI-ion-trap MS/MS can be used to study the adsorption processes of complicated carbon compounds by investigating their H/D exchange reactions. In the case of Ph3SiO-DHCD, the results demonstrate that H/D exchange takes place mainly on the quinoline skeleton. However, the strong pi-bonded adsorption of the quinoline skeleton parallel with the imaginary plane of Pt is not preferred because the bulky Ph3Si group inhibits the multiple pi-bonded adsorption of the Ph3SiO-DHCD. Because of this hindrance the molecule was adsorbed tilted via the nonbonding electron pair of the N atom and C2' atom of the quinoline skeleton; consequently, mainly alkaloid-d1 and alkaloid-d2 are formed.  相似文献

The perturbed-chain statistical associating fluid theory (PC-SAFT) is studied for a wide range of temperature, T, pressure, p, and (effective) chain length, m, to establish the generic phase diagram of polymers according to this theory. In addition to the expected gas-liquid coexistence, two additional phase separations are found, termed "gas-gas" equilibrium (at very low densities) and "liquid-liquid" equilibrium (at densities where the system is expected to be solid already). These phase separations imply that in one-component polymer systems three critical points occur, as well as equilibria of three fluid phases at triple points. However, Monte Carlo simulations of the corresponding system yield no trace of the gas-gas and liquid-liquid equilibria, and we conclude that the latter are just artefacts of the PC-SAFT approach. Using PC-SAFT to correlate data for polybutadiene melts, we suggest that discrepancies in modelling the polymer density at ambient temperature and high pressure can be related to the presumably artificial liquid-liquid phase separation at lower temperatures. Thus, particular care is needed in engineering applications of the PC-SAFT theory that aims at predicting properties of macromolecular materials.  相似文献

The Lewis acid mediated cyclization of epoxides with 1,3-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)-1,3-butadienes, electroneutral equivalents of 1,3-dicarbonyl dianions, results in the formation of 2-alkylidenetetrahydrofurans with a great variety of substitution patterns and functional groups. This includes the synthesis of 2,3'-bifuranylidenes and 7-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonanes. The cyclization of dienes with functionalized epoxides containing base-labile groups proceeds with good chemoselectivity. In all reactions, good regio- and E diastereoselectivities are observed. Based on the stereoselectivities observed for reactions of 1,2-disubstituted epoxides, a working hypothesis for the mechanism of the reaction is suggested.  相似文献
