A non instrumental method for the semiquantitative determination of mercury in fish is described. The sample is acid digested and the mercury vapor released after chemical reduction with SnCl2. The mercury vapor is then collected on a detecting paper covered with an emulsion of Cu2I2, 3% carboxymethylcellulose and MgCl2 as moistener agent. The colored Cu2[HgI4] complex is formed and the color intensity is proportional to the mercury concentration in the original sample. Parameters such as sample mass/digestion solution volume ratio, emulsion composition, paper covering technique, carrier gas flow were investigated. Comparative studies using CVAAS and digital color analysis after scanning the papers confirmed the applicability of the method to real samples.  相似文献

A radiometric method was applied to assess enamel wear by another enameland by restorative materials. The radioactive enamel was submitted to wearin a machine which allows sliding motion of an antagonistic surface in contactwith the radioactive enamel. The enamel wear was evaluated by measuring thebeta-activity of 32P transferred to water from this irradiatedtooth. Results obtained indicated that dental porcelains cause pronouncedenamel wear when compared with that provoked by another natural enamel orby resin materials. Resin materials caused less enamel wear than another naturalenamel. Vickers microhardness data obtained for antagonistic materials showeda correlation with the wear caused to the enamel.  相似文献

A study of the ternary polymer systems dimethyl formamide-ethyl acetate-polystyrene, chloroform-1,4 dioxane-polystyrene and tetrahydrofuran-chloroform-polystyrene was carried out by viscosity and light scattering at 298 K. A good correlation has been found between the excess intrinsic viscosity, unperturbed polymer dimensions, second virial coefficient and the excess Gibbs free energy by using a ternary interaction parameter, dependent on molecular weight. This modification enables the conversion between transport and equilibrium properties.  相似文献

The reaction of di-p-tolyltelluride with ferric, cupric and mercuric chloride, performed in glacial acetic acid, effects the reduction of the metallic salts giving rise to di-p-tolyltellurium dichloride. In toluene solution only the ferric chloride was reduced and the anhydride of di-p-tolyltellurium hydroxychloride formed, due to the hydrolysis of the tellurium dichloride. The reaction of the mentioned telluride and benzoyl chloride gave rise to a mixture of the dichloride and the dibenzoate. The mechanism of this reaction is discussed.  相似文献

In this paper the affine connection approach will be used to calculate the elastic constants of nematic liquid crystals. Following this approach, which was originally conceived to compute the nematic viscosity coefficients, an expression for the elastic constants, without adjustable free parameters, will be formulated in terms of a temperature dependent metric, whose non‐isotropic part is proportional to the tensorial order parameter of the nematic phase. The dependence of the elastic constants on the scalar order parameter, in the geometry of the nematic molecules, and in the anisotropic part of the molecular interaction, will be determined.  相似文献

The effect of mating delay on the ovary structure of virgin queens of Melipona quadrifasciata anthidioides (Hymenoptera: Apidae) was investigated. Virgin queens 15, 20, 25 and 30 days old were dissected to analyze their degree of ovary degeneration. To verify whether the degeneration would cause permanent sterility, virgin queens of the same ages (15, 20, 25 and 30 days) were mated and accompanied for at least 14 days to verify whether there was physogastry and then dissected. The ovaries were analyzed by histology, histochemical tests and TUNEL to verify programmed cell death. The results showed that mating delay interrupted oogenesis preventing vitellogenesis. Mating delay results in ovary degeneration which increased with queen age. However, even when there was ovariole degeneration, 25-day-old virgin queens after mating presented normal ovariole activation.  相似文献

Biosurfactants are of considerable interest due to their biodegradability, low degree of toxicity, and diverse applications. However, the high production costs involved in the acquisition of biosurfactants underscore the need for optimization of the production process to enable viable application on an industrial scale. The aims of the present study were to select a species of Candida that produces a biosurfactant with the greatest emulsifying potential and to investigate the influence of components of the production medium and cultivation conditions. Candida utilis achieved the lowest surface tension (35.53 mN/m), best emulsification index (73 %), and highest yield (12.52 g/l) in a medium containing waste canola frying oil as the carbon source and ammonium nitrate as the nitrogen source. The best combination of medium components and cultivation conditions was 6 % (w/v) glucose, 6 % (w/v) waste canola frying oil, 0.2 % (w/v) ammonium nitrate, 0.3 % (w/v) yeast extract, 150 rpm, 1 % inoculum (w/v), and 88 h of fermentation. The greatest biosurfactant production and the lowest surface tension were achieved in the first 24 h of production, and the maximum biomass production was recorded at 72 h. The biosurfactant produced from C. utilis under the conditions investigated in the present study has a potential to be a bioemulsifier for application in the food industry.  相似文献

In this work, the deoxygenation of organic liquid products (OLP) obtained through the thermal catalytic cracking of palm oil at 450 °C, 1.0 atmosphere, with 10% (wt.) Na2CO3 as a catalyst, in multistage countercurrent absorber columns using supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) as a solvent, with an Aspen-HYSYS process simulator, was systematically investigated. In a previous study, the thermodynamic data basis and EOS modeling necessary to simulate the deoxygenation of OLP was presented. This work addresses a new flowsheet, consisting of 03 absorber columns, 10 expansions valves, 10 flash drums, 08 heat exchanges, 01 pressure pump, and 02 make-ups of CO2, aiming to improve the deacidification of OLP. The simulation was performed at 333 K, 140 bar, and (S/F) = 17; 350 K, 140 bar, and (S/F) = 38; 333 K, 140 bar, and (S/F) = 25. The simulation shows that 81.49% of OLP could be recovered and that the concentrations of hydrocarbons in the extracts of absorber-01 and absorber-02 were 96.95 and 92.78% (wt.) on a solvent-free basis, while the bottom stream of absorber-03 was enriched in oxygenated compounds with concentrations of up to 32.66% (wt.) on a solvent-free basis, showing that the organic liquid products (OLP) were deacidified and SC-CO2 was able to deacidify the OLP and obtain fractions with lower olefin contents. The Maximum Minsum Dispersion Problem (Max-Minsum DP) is a strongly NP-Hard problem that belongs to the family of equitable dispersion problems. When dealing with dispersion, the operations research literature has focused on optimizing efficiency-based objectives while neglecting, for the most part, measures of equity. The most common efficiency-based functions are the sum of the inter-element distances or the minimum inter-element distance. Equitable dispersion problems, on the other hand, attempt to address the balance between efficiency and equity when selecting a subset of elements from a larger set. The objective of the Max-Minsum DP is to maximize the minimum aggregate dispersion among the chosen elements. We develop tabu search and GRASP solution procedures for this problem and compare them against the best in the literature. We also apply LocalSolver, a commercially available black-box optimizer, to compare our results. Our computational experiments show that we are able to establish new benchmarks in the solution of the Max-Minsum DP.  相似文献
