A family of core extensions for cooperative TU-games is introduced. These solution concepts are non-empty when applied to non-balanced games yet coincide with the core whenever the core is non-empty. The extensions suggest how an exogenous regulator can sustain a stable and efficient outcome, financing a subsidy via individual taxes. Economic and geometric properties of the solution concepts are studied. When taxes are proportional, the proportional prenucleolus is proposed as a single-valued selection device. An application of these concepts to the decentralization of a public goods economy is discussed. We propose to assemble negative index materials (NIMs) from dielectric nanotubes with inner and outer surfaces covered by thin metallic films. The focusing properties of flat and concave lenses assembled from metallized titania nanotubes are compared with those of lenses made from nanorods with the refractive index n = –1 by performing numerical calculations using a multiple‐scattering approach. Focusing is proved for both types of lenses, however, the focusing properties of concave lenses are better. The lenses are shown to be tolerant to the introduction of disorder in the arrangement of nanotubes. Moreover, the disorder proves to improve the quality of the focal spot. This study reports a two-steps route for obtaining magnetic nanoparticles–polysaccharide hybrid materials consisting of Fe3O4, NiFe2O4 and CuFe2O4 nanoparticles synthesis by coprecipitation method in the presence of a soft template followed by coating of ferrite nanoparticles of 8–10-nm size range with polysaccharide type polymers—sodium alginate or chitosan. Magnetic oxide nanoparticles and the corresponding hybrid materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Mössbauer spectroscopy, atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), FTIR spectroscopy, scanning and transmission electron microscopy (SEM and TEM) and specific surface area measurements. The vibrating sample magnetometry confirms the superparamagnetic properties of the synthesized ferrites and hybrids. Using this route, the percent of magnetic nanoparticles retained in chitosan-based hybrid materials is nearly double in comparison with that of sodium alginate–based materials. The biological activity tests on Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Pseudomonas aeroginosa ATCC 27853, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Candida scotti microorganisms show the non-toxic properties of prepared hybrid materials.  相似文献

High resolution Scanning Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) is used to demonstrate the compositional variation across self-organized TiO2 nanotube layers grown in fluoride containing ethylene glycol electrolytes. The analysis results show a distinct fluoride rich layer in between the TiO2 nanotubes and particularly in the triple points of the hexagonally ordered nanotubular arrays. AES analysis further revealed that extended e-beam exposure leads to a decrease in the fluoride signal (electron beam induced decomposition of fluoride species). The proof of the existence of a fluoride rich layer located between the tube walls strongly supports fluoride dissolution as the reason for a transition from a porous to a tubular morphology.  相似文献

In an attempt to understand the phase behavior of aqueous hydrogen fluoride, the clustering in the mixture is investigated at the molecular level. The study is performed at the mPW1B95/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory. Several previous studies attempted to describe the dissociation of HF in water, but in this investigation, the focus is only on the association patterns that are present in this binary mixture. A total of 214 optimized geometries of (HF)n(H2O)m clusters, with m + n as high as 8, were investigated. For each cluster combination, several different conformations are investigated, and the preferred conformations are presented. Using multiple linear regressions, the average strengths of the four possible H-bonding interactions are obtained. The strongest H-bond interaction is reported to be the H2O...H-F interaction. The most probable distributions of mixed clusters as a function of composition are also deduced. It is found that the larger (HF)n(H2O)m clusters are favored both energetically and entropically compared to the ones that are of size m + n < or = 3. Also, the clusters with equimolar contributions of HF and H2O are found to have the strongest interactions.  相似文献

Antimicrobial resistance is one of the major public health threats at the global level, urging the search for new antimicrobial molecules. The fluorene nucleus is a component of different bioactive compounds, exhibiting diverse pharmacological actions. The present work describes the synthesis, chemical structure elucidation, and bioactivity of new O-aryl-carbamoyl-oxymino-fluorene derivatives and the contribution of iron oxide nanoparticles to enhance the desired biological activity. The antimicrobial activity assessed against three bacterial and fungal strains, in suspension and biofilm growth state, using a quantitative assay, revealed that the nature of substituents on the aryl moiety are determinant for both the spectrum and intensity of the inhibitory effect. The electron-withdrawing inductive effect of chlorine atoms enhanced the activity against planktonic and adhered Staphylococcus aureus, while the +I effect of the methyl group enhanced the anti-fungal activity against Candida albicans strain. The magnetite nanoparticles have substantially improved the antimicrobial activity of the new compounds against planktonic microorganisms. The obtained compounds, as well as the magnetic core@shell nanostructures loaded with these compounds have a promising potential for the development of novel antimicrobial strategies.  相似文献
